Reviews for Hotel Playa del Carmen

Review 1:Bed is OK and the room need more sound proofing, specially from the window/balcony.

Review 2:Superb location and excellent value for the money, friendly staff. Free parking right at the door.

Review 3:Can be noisy if room faces road

Review 4:Great location, easy parking, very clean with good size bedroom and bathroom. Very friendly staff.

Review 5:Hard Bed

Review 6:Position near the beach

Review 7:Mostly, the staff's kindness

Review 8:The woman at reception could learn to smile (she could easily beCzech). The cleaning woman needs to sweep the floors daily and not justmake the bed (sand is brought into the room from the beach no matterhow much you brush yourself off). The floor was always gritty. I stayedfour days bed & breakfast. There was no variety in breakfast - alwaysthe same and no choice.Barbate is supposed to be a fishing town. It might have been once but the fish I had one evening at a "fish restaurant" had been sliced from a frozen fish then stored frozen. Not what I'd call fresh fish unfortunately.

Review 9:It's proximity to the beach - only about 70mtrs; the male owner's ever-present smile even when he had to continue coming upstairs to activatemy door key which kept acting up. The public areas were always clean.

Review 10:Barbate isn't a tourist resort and has something of a run-down feel to it... But the people more than make up for it. The Pizzaria on the seafront is particularly good.

Review 11:While not easy to find on arrival in Barbate, the hotel is definitely worth looking for. It's quaint. Positively old fashioned. Even genteel. And the people who run it are wonderful. Sophisticated, it isn't, but welcoming it certainly is.

Review 12:The beds were a bit hard.

Review 13:We stayed at the Playa del Carmen during a short bird-watching trip round a number of sites in the province. Apart from the fact the beds were rather hard, every other aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations. It was well maintained, with very attractive murals on some of the walls and the service was friendly and efficient. It was close to the paseo (and for those that might need it, a large Mercadona).

Review 14:the noise beyond the hotel walls

Review 15:location, family run

Review 16:Great location for the beach nice little balconies too.

Review 17:unbelievably loud early in the morning (like 5)
