Review 1：The hotel is situated on the yacht harbour waterfront of Puerto Mogan, and we had an excellent seaside view from our balcony. Very charming indeed! And then the tiny city is very pitoresque as "Venice of Gran Canaria" With Canals and bridges and flower filled house fasads along the narrow streets. The hotel has high standard and friendly and helpful staff.

Review 4：Very disappointed with the food and restaurant. It seemed as though there was a lack of staff. Plates not cleared quickly enough. The chef seemed reluctant to give a good portion of cooked meat, or he would have to get some more. The duck ran out and we were told it would be another 20 minutes for more. The food wasn't very hot.

Review 6：We thought your hotel was first rate. But such a high standard makes its own demands. We have the following comments on maintenance and on the food. Maintenance. You really need a zero tolerance approach here. We noticed quite a few small things. Handles on doors had been changed without making good cnsequent screw holes and scratches, a number of mosaic pieces were missing on the spa and so on. You can get away with a certain amount of that sort of thing but as it accumulates the hotel can suddenly look very tired and require an expensive refurbishment which otherwise might be postponed. You need a capable maintenance man with a pride in his work. It is quite evident that you do not have that at present. Food. Generally very good but let down here and there. The natural yoghurt was inferior. It shouldn’t cost much more, if anything, to get a better supply. The fish looked good but lacked taste. We suspect it had been frozen. That’s no good for a quality service. A hotel with your buying power should be able to do better on the same budget. There was the mystery of the cold plates in the hot section and the warm plates in the cold section. The desserts did not have enough variety and the chocolate was of an inferior quality. The ice cream wasn’t real quality either. The Chinese restaurant has better ice cream and theirs isn’t the tops. Your roasts were superb and the cheese excellent. The salads were repetitive and boring. Service was good and staff morale seemed to be cheerfully high. We suspect our criticisms arise from a bit of penny pinching and some laziness at the top.

Review 7：Didn't enjoy the fact that we booked a poolside bed for relaxation on my birthday but then had our peace disrupted by very loud music from the water gym instructor.

Didn't see what we gained for paying extra to stay in the hotel. Our air conditioning broke on the first night and there was broken glass on a chair in the restaurant.

Review 13：The location is what really makes this hotel so special however we couldn't fault anything from the cleanliness to the food. Renate on reception is amazing and she is the heart of the hotel. Only small criticism is the bar closes too early!

Even the staff had a hard time serving the tables with no or very little room to move around the tables. The area where the warm food was served had very little ventilation and felt very stuffy.

The room was also lovely and the view nice with morning sun and a balcony where we could sit and drink our morning coffee, We had a seaview but even the rooms facing the small harbour were nice and had the evening sun. Review 52：The initial lady at reception was frosty and unhelpful, though the other staff we met in reception were lovely. But it was not a good welcome at all. The sauna and hot tub in the spa were out of order, throughout our stay, which was very disappointing - especially as there was little sense that this was anything other than a frequent occurrence and certainly fixing them was not a priority. For the price, I expected touches like a bathrobe and slippers and some more choice and higher quality toiletries. The buffets, though good, perhaps suffered from too much choice lowering the quality a little. And, seriously, people put towels on sun loungers before 9am which they did not use and expected to be still free at 4pm. That could do with being policed.

Review 53：You can't beat the location. It's lovely to swim in the pool or the sea and the views are fantastic. The half board buffet breakfast and dinner offered a great choice and a high quality. The Restaurant staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough.

Review 56：We were forced into booking half board, we would have liked to have had the option to book Bed and Breakfast and of then either eating in the hotel for our evening meal, or dining out from the many good restaurants which were within easy walking distance. The food in the hotel was generally good for a buffet service with lots of choice, though the meat and fish were usually over cooked for our taste. The decor and pictures are basic and dated. The hotel lacks a comfortable lounge area, or an indoor comfortable bar area.

Review 57：The hotel is well placed between the cove beach and the marina. Rooms are on the small side, but contain everything necessary. every room has a veranda that overlooks either the swimming pool and beach, or the harbour marina. The staff were very good and seemed as if they were happy we were saying there.

Review 68：Sun beds at pool were great. Really loved the big double beds looking out to the sea (€20) daily. This included bottle cava, afternoon tea and cake, fruit kebabs, and water. All waiter service, unbelievable! Room had a double bed and sea view(as requested). Cleaned and fresh towels daily. The staff at reception were always very friendly and willing to help. Even booking us a taxi for the airport. We were there on a half board basis, and the meals were superb. Both breakfast and lunch were buffet style, with waiter service for drinks. Both meals were of a very high standard with numerous choices. Couldn't believe cava was included with breakfast! The location of hotel was excellent, bars and resturants were on our doorstep! It was a very pretty fishing village, with the hotel right on the harbour. A lovely relaxing place to take a break.

Review 69：Poor communication about building works, due to complete 19th Oct '14, which meant A/C was out and rooms with sea views were booked but not honoured upon arrival due to building works. Cockroach found in room/shower. Decorators took over the external balcony prior to vacation of the room. Pool area had builders walking too and fro with materials. The impression one had was of greed from owners who were not prepared to close the hotel for the period of the works. Staff took the brunt of the complaints well but should not have been put in that position. Total Hotel Experience, the owners, have poor foresight and client satisfaction. A fair degree of goodwill will, and should, be lost.

Review 71：We had booked the hotel, but given apartments, they had no air conditioning and we asked for doublebeds and got singles. The hotel is a 4* rating but the apartments are only 2* the bathroom was very poor.

Review 73：Despite emailing a request for a nice room in the hotel (for a special occasion) and confirmation of this, we arrived late at night to be allocated an Apartment due to renovations in the Hotel. Since this work had started 2 weeks before our arrival, we should have been pre-informed of this.We did not settle on the 'deal' we were offered (same price but use of Spa/Free safe facility etc as compensation) but did offer our own counter proposition (at a heavily reduced rate) to stay in the Apartment on a B&B basis only - in view of the excellent Restaurants locally and on the basis of one night's meal (only) in the Hotel, this was the better option for us. The Hotel management accepted this and we couldn't fault their service during our dealings and afterwards. Renovations are expected to continue until October though guests are allocated rooms in the Hotel as they become usable.

The air conditioning was very poor so they provided us with a fan and we left the doors on to the balcony open which solved the problem. The banging of the bedroom doors in the corridor is constantly disturbing which could be easily fixed by door closers.
