Monnaber Nou & Spa

Monnaber Nou & Spa descritpion
This traditional hotel is in the north of beautiful Majorca, between the Tramuntana mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
Originally dating from the 13th century, when the Moors ruled Majorca, the Monnàber Nou boasts an impressive history. A stately home since the 16th century, the building has been carefully preserved over the years, maintaining much of the original stonework. The grounds even include a well, olive press and windmill dating from 1680. This history, when coupled with its privileged location in the Majorcan countryside, make this ideal for your peaceful Balearic vacation.
The beaches of Pollença and Alcúdia are only 15 minutes away by car. You will also find an outdoor swimming pool where you can enjoy a dip on site.

Reviews for Monnaber Nou & Spa
Review 1:The rustic rooms need a at least a renovation, our first room was dark, smelly and way too noisy. The food is poor and far away from any gourmet kitchen, the breakfast was boring and the bread, baked goods etc. weren`t homemade ( like it is promoted)
Review 2:The location is beautiful - ideal for cycling and hiking. The staff is always friendly and trying to do it`s best.
Review 3:Minor issue: the beds are very firm. Not really an issue but something to bear in mind ... a car is essential given its remote location.
Review 4:The setting is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. The location is perfect for getting away. The suite/room was spacious, the position and view were wonderful. The food and service were excellent.
Review 5:At first we were on the third floor overlooking the court yard and the room was dark. We were then re located to a lovely room with a view over the pool. We felt the showers and the furniture in the rooms could do with an update.
Review 6:The location was fantastic. Pool great, poolside food and staff fantastic. BBQ at the Garden House was very good and relaxed.
Review 7:Spa facilities not impressive, we did not expect to have so many shouting kids around, in the room we could not close properly the bathroom door, the rooms are not soundproof (you can hear people chatting, slaming doors, etc.).
Review 8:The view, the animals at the finca and the ancient olive trees, horse riding, the restaurant, the birds singing in the morning..
Review 9:About five years ago I booked into the hotel via the internet and was placed in an annex building adjoining the main hotel. It was about twenty yards away. This year when I booked in it also said 'annex' However this was a completely different building about 500 metres away from the main hotel and all the main facilities. It had its own very small swimming pool and its own evening meal set up which comprised a very simple barbecue menu only. This was not a traditional annex but a completely different entity. We were told we could walk up to the main hotel and use the swimming pool and the main restaurant but both my wife and I are crippled with arthritis and could not possibly walk that distance. So basically we were deceived into thinking we had booked into the Monnaber Nou hotel but in fact were housed in a completely separate building with only second rate facilities. Shameful.
Review 10:Staff were very good.
Review 11:There was a slight lack of attention to details in our room: the basin lacked a plug and a failed light bulb did not get replaced. Plus, while the hotel catered very well for breakfast and dinner, the pool snacks were of pretty poor quality: I had a cheese and ham toasted sandwich which was made of the cheapest possible ingredients and was quite unpleasant.
Review 12:I particularly liked the lovely setting and grounds. The house is most attractive and well furnished and the pool and sunbathing facilities are very pleasant.
Review 13:The beautiful house and setting. The spa, the grounds.
