Review 1：Room -junior suite in main hotel is very hot. There are no windows in the bedroom part of the suit and the heat rises.- ask for a fan as the air conditioning didn't function. Otherwise would have been 5 star.

Review 3：A delightful rural retreat. We were well looked after and the food was excellent. A good location as a base to explore the island. We had the last week of the season and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and relaxation.

Review 4：The suite sitting room was fine with sofa bed and wardrobe but the window-less bedroom was airless and smelt fusty. We were given a fan but it made little difference. We had to sleep downstairs for the last night. Pool was cold. The grounds need a little tlc; even rural establishments promoting a naturally good eco system need to be tended. Maybe this will happen over the off season.

Review 5：Beautiful old Menorcan Country House set in a quiet rural location 20 minutes drive from Mahon. Fabulous restaurant with imaginative food and good wines. We stayed for 4 nights and were upgraded to room 103 which was a suite with a bedroom upstairs. Huge bed was comfortable with good quality linen. Sofa bed in sitting room was very comfortable. Nice seating area on terrace outside. Good breakfast options.

Review 6：in October it was peaceful, inexpensive (eg dinner for two was 100 euros with fabulous wines, beers and two courses. Room had gorgeous views walks across moorland to the coastal swims in gin clear waters

Review 7：The hotel was quite out of the way and the road leading up to it hasn't been maintained. The room wasn't a bad size but was a bit grubby. The bath, toilet and shower head were noticeably dirty and were in need of a thorough clean. The pool also didn't appear to be clean and so we decided not to use it.

Review 8：The hotel staff were very friendly. The setting was nice and quiet. The bed was a good size and comfortable. The breakfast had a good range and choice of food. The free drinks in the minibar was a nice touch.

Review 36：The Alcaufar Vell Hotel was truly wonderful. Converted from the orginal magnificent farm, the hotel delivers a snapshot of Menorcan history. The staff were exceptional making our stay a joy, what’s more the food was great. Alcaufar Vell has it’s own personality, delivering a very special experience hard to find. With the island being so small we found the location perfect to discover the whole island.

Review 88：Beautiful hotel with character, lovely setting, quiet and peaceful but near to beaches, Mao and airport. Superb staff who are very friendly and helpful, even when our grown up children visited for the last two days and we asked for cocktails at 11pm! Also we were able to keep our room on the last day until 3pm which was very useful - new towels were provided in case we wanted a shower before catching our flight.

Review 90：This is a FIRST CLASS HOTEL, located about 3 km from Sant Lluis. This is a very rural and beautiful property. The staff is professional, friendly and accommodating in every way imaginable, and the restaurant is simply outstanding. Our room was quite large and exceptionally comfortable, with an even larger patio and lawn in back. If you are thinking of coming to Menorca, this is THE place!
