Review 1：We requested a twin bedded room with a canal view, what we were offered was a double overlooking the the road! I spoke to the receptionist and he said "everybody wants a canal view", he then offered a twin in the annex across the road, the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was in need of a facelift, the hot water was at best tepid. Some lights in the bathroom needed replacing. The area around the outdoor pool was in need of cleaning, seagull poop was evident, but the pool looked very clean.

Review 2：The location was within walking distance of the beach, approx 20 minutes and close to the canals. The breakfast was good, eggs and bacon if you wanted them, also a good cold selection. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it was very popular.

Review 3：Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The doors were noisy, and had to be slammed to shut so this led to a rude awakening from neighbours often. Road outside noisy. Most mornings had to have breakfast along the road. Pool is on the other side of this road. Beach is a solid 15 minute walk away, but a flat manageable walk, if your fit enough. Staff mostly friendly, but some not so pleasant, but with a hotel full of non Spanish speaking residents it could be tough. Sometimes heard the bar below on an evening, but nothing ear plugs didn't sort.

Review 4：An easy location, straight walk down to the beach. a good choice for breakfast, and available until 10:30. Although limited seating inside it did mean we got a nice view of the marina. Bar lively. Room was clean, and cleaned with new towels daily. We had a good balcony which was on a corner so caught the sun at all times. Pool was a good size and plenty of sunbeds.

Review 5：Unexpectedly, they have second facility across the road with. Room was not clean, window glass was cracked, unpleasent smell of cleaning agent.

Review 7：Very strong smell of cigarette everywhere in the hotel. Even the bedsheets were smelly. Not very clean. Noise of ventilation at night that couldn't be stop. Some light from the exit sign couldn't be switched off either. The wifi was slower than ever, even at 7am in the morning.

Review 11：It took about 25 mins to check in as the receptionist wasn't there... But in fairness they did give me a free coffee in the bar while i waited.

Review 12：I booked the Hotel Purtofino on booking.com for a pretty cheap rate, but was very pleased. Stayed for 8 nights, the room was cleaned to a good standard daily with towels changed daily also. They have a lovely bar downstairs (Oceans Irish Tavern - titanic themed) which cannot be heard when in your room. There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel (this is where the buffet breakfast is served) which I ate in one evening and was very nice. There is a functioning lift to all levels and facilities for less able bodied persons throughout the hotel (wheel chair ramps, handles in the bath etc) All in all a 5/5 from me on this place.

Review 13：Breakfast staff (one lady), late and uncommunicative. if breakfast is 8 -10.30 then if you come at 8 everything should be ready, not arriving with kitchen staff and waiting for food to be prepared

Review 15：Good location 5 mins from dz. Hotel we stayed in was opposite the Portafina bar and restaurant. Short walk to the marina and beach etc. would definitely use again!

Review 16：Air conditioning shut down in the evening until morning. The hotel is on a busy road with a bar downstairs. We had to have the windows open because the air con wasn't on, then we got all the noise. Shut the windows and it was too hot and humid.

Review 72：Poor bed covers, inadequate lighting, dirty balcony, run down immediate locality as visible from balcony. Basic breakfast served in pub environment. Ambience of a 'Pirate themed pub'. We were so disappointed in Empuria Brava and the hotel that we moved out on the first morning and lost the charges for the second night in favour of an alternative hotel in Rosas.

Review 73：Could be noisy until the early hours in the bar/restaurant on the ground floor, depending on where your room is located. We had no problems with this, but our friend did.

Review 74：Excellent accommodation, well priced, great breakfast at budget cost and located within minutes of the shops and restaurant area of what is a very widespread network of canals and marinas which make up Ampuriabrava. This latter point is most important because it would be very easy to choose a hotel quite remote from the main facilities. Ampuriabrava is very much a playground for the wealthy, boating/yachting set, but prices of the usual holiday expenses of food and drink are not excessive and compare very favourably with our previous few days in Argeles across the border in France.

Review 75：Think that there could be more information on the hotel facilities, webooked last minute and was'nt sure if there was a pool, as it was acrossthe road and looked as if it belonged to a private house that it was inthe grounds of, it was'nt obvious, I had to ask and then was told how toget into the garden. Would have been better to have been told on arrival
