Hotel President is 1,650 feet from Calella Beach and the center of town, on Catalonia’s Maresme Coast. It offers 3 outdoor swimming pools, set on 21,500 ft² grounds.
The hotel is located 25.5 miles from Girona Airport and 30 miles from Barcelona. There are regular train services from Calella to central Barcelona.
Each room at the President Hotel has a private balcony. Rooms are air-conditioned and included a safe and satellite TV.

Review 1：Rooms were very hot, nobody I knew room's air conditioning worked, it only blew out hot air, which meant sleeping with the balcony door open and hearing noise outside.

Review 2：Stayed here for Ironman Barcelona. Food was good. The hotel even did breakfast earlier than usual at around 5am for those of us competing in the event, very greatful for that. Location is good as well.

Review 11：The hotel is typical concrete construction; hence, every sound is amplified...the noise whilst trying to sleep was very noticable, to the point where I couldnt much of the time. I would stress that this is a design fault of the building...people weren't (in general) being noisy, it was more that there was no sound proofing...Not ideal!

Review 19：Clean with wonderful, friendly staff that couldn't do enough. Stayed for 5 days for ironman and couldn't fault it despite 80 feel to communal areas.

Review 20：Room a little basic. Not enough storage space!! Calella looked a little run down in parts and locals don't bother to clean up after their pampered pooches. Some of the paths need repairs and could be very dangerous for people with limited mobility. Good shopping area with plenty of bars and restaurants.

Review 24：Early morning loud street cleaning noise due to very close to street.WIFI was not good even in the common area. Aircon system doesn't work properly and no control in the room. Lunch and dinner time very tight for full or half board guests.We missed 3/4 dinners and 3 lunches out of 6 nights full board stay due to timing situation. Picnic option take away lunch or dinner was not good as should be. Very bad coffee in the breakfast time also bad quality juice.

Review 25：Everyday room serviced and cleaned very well. Quality and testy food served in the hotel restaurant and will suit all types of guest for 3 star standard. Location was ok but other hotels has better location. Walking distance to beach and hotel has good and cleaned pools. I will recommend others only for the good value but I will not stay there for my next visit at the costa Brava area. Calella is a small coastal town with local and tourist population good transport by train but less frequent bus service unlike other town i.e. Santa Susanna, Lloret De Mar but they are only for the tourist I suppose.

Review 26：The staff are total cockblockers if you want to go with somebody you just met , since you need permission for them to open the door. The free wifi is pretty much bullocks since it doesnt work even though we were at the most central place of the hotel.

Review 27：Great pools for you and the children , its a really great family hotel. Also the food was really incredible , they do these special country nights 5 times a week with the specials from every country , the mexican night had me having stomach aches from eating so much :)!

Review 36：The only downside, which is not the fault of the hotel, is the quality of sleep. The cause of this problem is the location, in particular there are 2 night clubs nearby and as a result the noise that savage young German tourists make throuthout the night, from 1 am to 7 am. Earplugs didn`t resolve this problem for me. The solution is to make sure you get a room overlooking the courtyard(swimming pool view),although you might have to pay extra 10 euros per night, and the noise will not get there. In my case the staff did me a favour and I got such a room for the last 4 nights without extra pay.

Review 37：The hotel itself is excellent, the reception staff are efficient and attentive to guests` needs. They speak at least English, German, French, Russian , presumably Polish and who knows what other foreign languages. The restaurant is very good. Cleanliness is impeccable.

Review 38：Paid for half board. Went out with friends to eat one evening so missed evening meal and saved it to redeem next lunch time but we were refused. Told could not carry over till next day so charged extra 22 euros for lunch for two. Felt grieved as I had already paid for a meal. Seemed unfair to us.

Review 40：We arrived at 2315 to be greeted by the most obnoxious, rude night staff we have ever encountered. They demanded that we paid our bill in full immediately, or they would eject us!! Eventually, after a lot of argument, and because we were tired, my Sister Valerie Stenson agreed to pay. We found out when we got home that you had actually paid for the first night. Later, we saw on the television screen in Reception the following statement: 'For your own convenience, we recommend you to pay your stay one day before departure'. It is a pity that the Reception staff do not know or understand the Hotel policy. We tried several times to speak to the Manager, but were always told he was unavailable! On the Saturday morning at 0330 both my Sister and myself received a telephone call with no one there. It was like an alarm call. When I spoke to Reception that morning, they just said if it happened again, telephone reception to ask who had called! Really uninterested. The same thing happened at 0430 on Monday morning and again Reception were non-plussed. This whole episode put a damper on our holiday.

Review 41：The Hotel was spotlessly clean at all times.

Review 42：No hairdryer in room but could get one from reception for a 10 euro deposit. Hotel entertainment too loud for the size of room felt sorry for the bar staffs easrs!!

Review 43：Was 10 minute walk to beach, loads restaurants/shops on doorstep. Bowling/crazy golf 2 minutes away. Food in hotel buffet, plenty of choice and was always good. Room had bath and shower which was good. Hotel bar prices amazingly cheap!!

Review 50：my friend and I are retired, though young at heart, this hotel had a good mix of ages and it was not dominated by one country. The food was very varied and excellent, we had all our meals at the hotel apart from a couple of lunch times, the hotel provided a picnic for the beach though it was a little disappointing but there were two pieces of fruit, a sandwich and cake with a bottle of water..the sandwiches were just not to the English taste (bread was sweet and no butter !) The pool area is large and there were plenty of beds and 3 pools. Every time we visited the pool there was a life guard keeping an eye on things and the area and pool clean and tidy. Though we did not avail ourselves of the Hotel entertainment, there was something going on in the evenings. We had a very early flight home and a breakfast was provided for us at 5.30 am (let reception know you will need a breakfast the day before). The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though a bit of drawer space would be a bonus. We will see if there is any change next year as we plan to stay at the President again.

Review 51：The garden with several pools is great place to relax, the beach is just a walk downhill and 15 minutes away. Great evening entertainment in hotel bar. The food is just perfect and everyday different variety.

Review 52：The wifi was hit and miss but not a problem. For the week we were there we were the only people that used the pool. My son had a little ball and we played with it in the pool and were told promptly by the lifeguard that it was not allowed. There were a handful of children at the hotel so my son had no one to play with and the ball made the difference of our stay with him. We were quite upset that he couldn't use it as we weren't being a hindrance to anyone AT ALL! Thankfully the lifeguard wasn't there everyday. I do think the ban on such items should be lifted!

Review 54：The range of food on offer would satisfy anyone. The hotel is located in a good area away from the crowds. The three pools are situated in a large garden area. Entertainment at the hotel was family based and very good. The staff are outstanding with a good sence of fun. They were helpful with advice and direction and sorted any problems we had with our transport.

Review 58：The night time noise. Found it hard to sleep. We were on the 1st floor and were awoken at 6am each morning with people underneath making noise. I suspect it was staff as there seemed to be a staff canteen underneath. Also, noise at night from other guests who weren't trying to get some sleep before the day of Ironman Barcelona!

Review 71：Very nice, smiling and helpful personnel, both at the reception and inthe restaurant. Tasty meals, good even for the higher class hotel! Roomscleaned and towels changed everyday. Only a few houndred steps to thesea, and even closer to shopping promenade. Nice swimming pools andalways enough sun beds for everyone. If you want to skip the lunch in anfb option you may order a picnic box instead. Overall a very niceexperience, especially for the price paid!

Review 72：Beds were not the most comfortable ever but I haven't had a bad night sleep. Might be an odd thing but for some reason the "Do Not Disturb" note you hang on the door didn't work...heheh...room service ladies would even come into the room after briefly knocking to your door to clean it, although quite funny it could be something that could annoy other people, not us though.

Review 73：Swimming pool area was very, very good, staff very friendly and speaking all languages in the world, bar area in the lobby served till late, staff friendly too. It was a good atmosphere and good standard stay for a low price. We only had breakfast included in price and it was ok...just normal stuff in that sort of hotels, some tastes wouldn't suit everybody but you must be aware of that everytime you go to different country, quality was good and by any means food was fresh. Some people said in their reviews it was loud at night but that wasn't the case when we were there, no issues whatsoever. If you're going on a low cost holidays and spend more time out then in (isn't that the point anyway) you'll be happy.

Review 74：Lack of adult entertainment. Show was poor. Aquafit gym got boring every day. Could alternate with aqua zumba or something similar. Also to have a lesson in the afternoon for half hour. We didn't like the fair skin lifeguard as it just sat there not taking care of the swimming pool allowing kids to play with balls and diving. Toilets downstairs were not clean regularly. Needs more regular staff to check and clean services. If going half board like we did. We would have like to have been given the choice of which two meals to have. No restricted to hotel say only. After all we paid for meal.
