Review 1：On our return to our room after having dinner we found it filled with thick acrid smoke and a heavy smell of burning. There were no lights (we had left them on for our dog whilst we went for dinner). Having rescued our small dog we fetched the chap on reception who came with a torch and discovered that the ceiling fan in the bathroom had caught fire and melted down onto a towel which had also caught fire. The lights fuse had blown hence no lights. He quickly found another room for us and helped move our belongings which were covered in a smoky film. The following morning we were presented with an invoice for the full room and dinner charge. We had to argue to get at least recompense for the cleaning of our clothes etc., which was reluctantly given by deducting the cost of our dinner. Not nice! They do not have smoke alarms in the rooms.

Review 4：Historic property, we loved the proximity to the landing strip/aerodromo ( you can see your plane...) By chance we decided to eat here for dinner...It was terrific!!!! Dont hesitate to take half board. Lovely menu prepared by the owner Vincent and served by Pedro. The dining room is in a beautiful arched "cavern"...class, charm what else could you ask for! Very nice breakfast. Wifi works everywhere, even at the pool. Pool area full of trees, very pretty and protected from road and surroundings. Developing area, next to windtunnel for skydivers and waveclub..skydiving all day long...developing area....fun. 100m from aerodrome...dont hesitate to stay here.

Review 5：Made very welcome. Service excellent. Plenty of sun beds available and able to watch paragliders gently descend whilst sunbathing. Also made welcome family staying elsewhere.

Review 6：It wasn't very peaceful by the outdoor pool, as it was very close to an aerodrome, and with many constantly squawking parrots in the trees.

Review 17：Every thing was fine, but the staff, especially the owner. She was the most delightful host as were all the people who worked at the hotel. It is a family owned business, and the desire to please is sincere, not corporate. We would plan another trip to the area around the availability of a room here. By the way, the dinner provided here was a good meal at a good price.

Review 18：Poor location if you don't have a car (they do have a couple of bikes to borrow though which is good, and the town isnt so big anyway). The breakfast is awful! By far the worst on my whole trip, there weren't even any staff in the restaurant one morning to assist. Walls are very thin, could hear my neighbour snoring. Everything seemed a bit disorganised in general.

Review 22：Staff excellent and always there to help. We decided to check out a day early so we could spend the night in Barcelona and they even refunded us the cost of the room for that night. The room was excellent and extremely clean. Breakfast excellent - can't say anymore to that at all. Excellent location if you're into skydiving++++++

Review 23：The location is "semi-industrial" with some warehouses nearby. The location next to a skydiving facility can be good, if you are a skydiver, or bad if you don't like noise.

Review 57：The staff were extremely helpful & pleasant. They even suggested that I park my full car in one of their garages for safety overnight, even though they have a locked outdoor car park. A very pleasant overnight experience.

Review 58：Soundproofing between rooms is poor and the narrow single bed (pushed beside another to make a double) was very old. The bed I can manage and wouldn't put me off but I'm not sure I could risk the soundproofing problem again. - which is a pity as all else terrific.

We felt welcomed, the guide was useful in deciding which place to visit and where to go. The staff was always willing to help and really taking care of the guests so they can stay in nice and very clean hotel, where is everything for our comfort. We liked the restaurant service, fresh food, well presented and very tasty. We recommend it to anyone wanting to have a good time in Empuriabrava. Review 65：I stayed there for 3 days/nights and i liked it very much, very friendly helpful staff. Nice pool and garden, all very good taken care for. Nice view on the mountains from the hotelroom and close to shops/restaurants. Nearby bus stop to Figueres/Roses. I have enjoyed it very much and would go back to there the next time for sure.

Review 66：The decor in the rooms we had was very poor and one room (210) which was down a very dark corridor (painted dark red to accentuate the darkness) had a tiny window that looked out onto a roof- it was very grim on first impression. This should have been referred to on the booking site, and should have been at a reduced rate not €100 per night. While the pictures of the bedrooms on the website showed much 'superior' rooms to the ones we got, it was the written description and the photo of the pool that prompted me to make the booking for my son and I in the first place. The hotel also should be described correctly as a 'hostelreria'. For the sake of a coat of paint in paler colours the place would look much better.

Review 67：Staff were friendly and breakfast times were relaxed and the continental breakfast was good. The pool was very nice and the cleanliness about the place including our rooms was excellent. The place was very quiet at night which was very pleasant. It was a good base to explore the Costa Brava from.

Review 68：The position in not nice, you are between factories and aereoport. Breakfast very poor as choice and you have, as in the fast food, clean your table when you finish to eat.

Review 69：I was overwhelmed with the friendliness of the staff and especially theFrench owner and his wife Irina from Russia - she was so helpful andfriendly The hotel is easy to find as there is a huge sign on the mainroad but a tip for other visitors - you have to drive to a parallel roadto access the car park You can drive to the beach in a minute or take 5minute walk looking in the shops If you just stay at the hotel there isa lovely outdoor pool by the main entrance and next to seating for therestaurant It is also right next to the small aerodrome where you can goflying or parachuting It is also only 30 minutes from Cadaques and otherbeautiful coastal reqions When I had to change my flight details theconcierge even allowed me to use the reception computer and printer toattain my new boarding pass in the middle of the night I woulddefinitely go there again if I was in that area on business
