Review 1：It was end of season so staff were tired, some even a little grumpy. On the whole though they were friendly and polite if you took the time to thank them and smile at them. They work very long hours and keep the place really clean and tidy.

Review 2：Fantastic location, sea front, great views. Food was amazing value for money. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Roof terrace was splendid and so was the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Very neat and well looked after. Will deffo go back.

Review 3：A lot of: * payment BEFORE the stay, afterwards you have no chance to get your money back to change a hotel * you have to pay to use the deposit safe box * you have to pay to use refrigerator * no kettle in the room * no remote TV controller in the room (TV is flat) * no duty chamberlady - no chance to request a change of blankets/covers in the evening * no floor cleaning (tile) inside the room * no own free parking * public places in the corridors weren't clean as well * dirty WC with ugly smell, not cleaned * blankets, pillows, covers weren't changed for 6 days until a warning was made to an administrator * indifferent administrators at the reception, no reaction for any complain * everything that happens in the neighbors rooms can be recognized, low noise isolation * the food for breakfast is always the same (average quality) * strong smell of chlorine in the swimming pools * very noisy location - a lot of bars * extremely expensive (1400 EUR/3 pers/8 nghts)!

Review 7：Except for one of the ladies, the staff was really rude and uneager to solve any of our requests. Instead of finding a solution, they simply said "no". Although there was T.V. and a fridge in the room, you had to pay extra for using them! And so for the towels and the sauna. Those charges weren´t announced in Booking web site. When we asked for making a local phone call, they denied and suggested us to go to a shop, four blocks away (by the way, the address given was wrong). We asked for a non smokers room, but everybody smoked in neighbour rooms.

Review 8：We took the three meals buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner). It was great, because of the variety and fresh products. We also liked the view, overlooking the beach.

Review 9：That you couldn't use internet in the room, as the signal was too weak. That you have to pay deposit for a remote for the TV!

Imagino que existiran habitaciones individuales ccon vistas al mar y sin, creo que deberian quitar la foto del balcón con vistas al mar en la habitación individual sin vistas ya que crea confusión.

Review 13：The buffet dinner on the first night was disgusting: dry, over cooked fish, stodgy pasta and rice sitting in water. It was all unappetising and Luke warm. TV in room- good: no remote - bad: tried to call reception but phone not attached to the wall: told at reception that you need deposit (money is back in my room): call lift to go back up to top floor - it's broken!

Review 14：The bar staff were very friendly as were some of the reception staff. The fruit and continental breakfast selection was good but the cooked food was cold, sitting in oil and not nice quality.

Review 17：I got the wrong room, and the hotel could not change the room due to the booking being made through Booking.com and not directly through the hotel. I ended up having to pay for an additional room.

Review 19：Check in was long and dis-organised. They lost our booking and then sent us to a room which was already occupied. No wi-fi at all- not even accessible in the lobby. Rooms were ok but pretty shabby. Breakfast was a shambles. Basically, it is cheap so you get what you pay for.

Review 24：Noise, noise, noise. Hoards of teenage Germans on their collective, partying trips. They sing in the street in the middle of the night. Awful traffic, for such a small locality, and that right under the windows of the rooms with a view on the sea. On the whole, most of Calella seems to be precisely that style. I am not likely to return there.

Review 26：The bacon! Much nicer at the terrace bar. There is only a small pool area and not many sun beds but bearing in mind the hotel's proximity to the beach can't really complain.

Review 27：The location of this hotel could not be bettered (unless you hate trains!) The view is spectacular yet all bars, shops and restaurants are within easy reach. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Three rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed on request. There is plenty of choice at mealtimes. We will be back (again).

Review 28：Extremely noisy. The noise from the nearby train, from vehicles and drunk german teenagers all day and all night long is overwhelming... If you travel by car, you have to pay a daily fee for parking during your stay. Also, you have to pay an additional fee for the refrigirator in the room on a daily basis and leave a 20€ deposit for the TV remote control...

Review 65：This is my 2nd review of Maratim, my first visit a year ago. Little improvements during the closed season- new coffee machines in the restaurant , a lick of paint here and there, nothing major but nice improvements to an already good hotel. Best bits- location right on the front , lovely & clean- rooms done everyday

Review 68：бидето в банята беше монтирано на грешно място ,което затрудняваше използването му.За да се отседне в този хотел, трябва да имате в предвид и цената на паркинга, защото той се намира в зона където престоя на колите се заплаща, има постоянно контролираща полиция и най-ужасното е че место може да си намериш вечер след като си въртял в района поне 1 час. Глобата е 60€, ако сте я видяли след 24 часа, иначе има начин да си пратите 5 €, трябва да сте я видяли и да сте платили глобата при полицая, сложно.

Breakfast was ok, but closed clock10 am, so you must wake up very early and that`s not fun on holiday.Wifi do not work on the room and that was one reason that I booked hotelbecause on the website said that Wifi works on the room. I have to work2 hours/day and I have to work on the reception because wifi dos notwork on the room. If you want use fridge, you must pay 3 euros/dayfor key! (Fridge is locked) Air-condition is very old and poor (maybe 20years), so it`s not work like new air-condition equipment. Room, balconyand swimming pool was very small. Hotel quality it`s not value formoney, because you can get almost half price for that same or betterhotel from Calella, Pineda De Mar or Malgrat De Mar. I have been oneother hotel on Calella and one hotel on Malgrat de Mar and they was muchbetter price for quality.

Review 78：The location of the Maritim is excellent; across the road from the beach, close to shops and eateries, even the little tourist sightseeing train stops outside! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff our helpful and courteous, our room couldn't have been better situated in the building being at the front, on the corner with a very big balcony and sea view and it was also very roomy.

Review 79：The floors in the bathrooms are slippery . This is against health and safety regulations, my wife and my daughter, both had injury to their head

Review 80：Unstable Wi-Fi in the room, a disco bar in 100 metres with noisy teenagers who passed by at 2 or 3 a.m., but this might be typical of any place with many younger people. I've seen various doubles before settling, there is a significant difference in the size of bed and room between rooms with twin bed and one large bed. Strongly recommend one use a seaview room which stands out in comfort. There are no facilities for little kids, just a mellow pool on the territory of the hotel.

Review 81：We stayed in two at a seaview double. Excellent staff, a great variety of food at dinner, there were a lot of fruits and vegetables, fish, fruit de mare on the menu. Breakfast is more predictable:), though pretty decent. The staff offers to keep the wine you order for dinner in a cool place, so it is always cool and remains with a mark of your room. Proximity to the beach (just next to the underground tunnel leading to the beach). A seaview room has a balcony with a table and a pair of chairs. It is better to book this type of room as the other side rooms lack comfort (almost no balcony). There's a nice swimming pool and a few bars on the territory of the hotel and close to it. Wi-Fi was stable in the lobby only. A standard animation programme for kids and adults, though pretty good. Very close to the stores and the downtown walking area. The trains passed by without annoying by noise. Generally, a nice town with its own park, garden, flat releif in the town and with rocks next to the town. So it is both picturesque and easy to stay at.

Review 84：The wifi was somewhat slow and unreliable and I did lost connection morethan once. Also there is a problem with the lifts if you are on the topfloors as in they tend to stop on the way up and go back down again ifcalled so guests on the upper floors (I was on floor 7) often have quitea wait to get one.

Review 85：The location on the sea front is excellent with great views if you arelucky enough to get a sea view room, which sadly I didn`T. I was bookedon a b & b basis and found the breakfast to be both tasty andplentiful. The staff were friendly and many spoke several languageswhich given most of the guests seemed to be Eastern European (especiallyRussian) was a boon. My room although somewhat small was comfortableenough for my needs although there is definitely a need for increasingthe number of power points and the wardrobe was not the biggest. I didenjoy the roof top sun bathing area which was never too crowded and Icould always get a sunbed if I wanted one and there was a drinks machineand wc available was very handy. All in all I enjoyed my stay at theMaritim and would probably stay there again if visiting Calella

Review 89：we had to leave in the hurry, due to shuttle company messing up and did not have time to properly check out as had to literally run out of bed and room in 5 minutes (dont' use shuttle direct people). so i didn't remember to return the tv remote in this state of panic, even though it was in the room. everything had a deposit: tv remote - 20euro, fridge key - i dont know, i think 10, security box deposit. to use the gym - 3 pounds for the key. i guess they are budget so it's to be expected, but i now lost the 20 for the remote. let's be honest, who would want to take a remote away??? very thin wall, i could hear the neighbour snore, shut doors/windows/blinds, flush the toilet etc. the cleaner came one morning around 9.30 when we were still in the room, so we said not now please and she didn't come back at all. so that brough out average of cleaning to once in 3 days (after our first night, the room wasn't cleaned either). we didn't really asked/minded that much, but still, previous experience tells that the cleaners come back later in such cases. no iron to borrow.

Review 90：we booked early and cheap including breakfast, great options and fresh looking food every morning, could not fault them. on the day we left, they prepared a 'picknick' - bag with sandwitches and some fruit and water. it was not nearly as appetising as the breakfast unfortunately, but still nice to offer. the staff were nice and friendly, apart from one lady in the canteen who was rather moody every time we saw her (sort of 'long face' situation there). everyone else was great. there were lots of tourits from ex-Sovjet, Netherlands, Germany and UK, very mixed crowd with young people, (young and not so) families, groups of friends etc, no issues and everyone friendly. the beach is accross the road, and lovely clean sand that is course and brushes off very easily. didn't swim as the sea was too cold, but the seats at the poolside were nice and comfy as well. we came for dinner there as well, we booked b&b, so paid 12pp for the dinner excl. drinks. it was buffet style with ok food, but nothing to write home about. my mum really liked it, i thought it was ok. lot's of salads, some meet options and a couple of desserts that will get you full, but it's no gourmet. we were given (at request) the room facing the pool in the back, i think it was a quit(er) room as the ones with sea view also face the railtrack and the side of the street where there is a disco a little further. our shower head holder broke when the cleaners came by and was fixed within 2 hours, great and fast responce i am yet to see in uk ;). inspite of the few 'i did not like's' i would definitely come back here again, and would also like to come back to Calella. lovely hotel, fantastic price and (mostly) very friendly staff.

Review 91：Nothing to do with the Maratim but the hotel next door was full of dimented German youths who's only method of communicating what through some sort of chanting which they found most useful in the middle of the night, fortunately they were only there for a few days but if I were German I would be quite emabarrased by their behavior - shame.

Review 92：Great value and helpful staff. Right on the seafront near the start of the Challenge Triathlon. Only stayed for 5 nights B&B but the breakfast was really good and plenty of it. The hotel was very clean and highly recommended.

Review 93：Lack of parking is a problem as it is everywhere in this resort. Garageparking is a 5 minute walk but at 16 Euro a day is expensive.
