Reviews for Arte de Cozina

Review 1:The star rating does not appy to the sparce room. No case rack, bedside tables or toothmugs. Shower good but built for slim people.

Review 2:Restaurant + kitchen are well run. We were given the traditional master bed room with balcony and had a special dinner with impeccable service. This family run hostelry is an authentic meet in the heart of town. Excellent place full of life + history where locals central location

Review 3:Be prepared for a tiny bathroom!

Review 4:Great location and a very quirky place to stay! We enjoyed fabulous tapas and a few Riojas in the bar after shopping and sight seeing. Basic, small room but clean and comfortable.

Review 5:Central location, quaint building. Small room but entirely adequate for our one night stay. Good air con. Public areas, Room and bathroom very clean. Superb restaurant on ground floor - lovely staff. Would thoroughly recommend stay and food to anyone.

Review 6:no parking place (you can leave a car for cca 10 EUR in public garage close to the hotel)

Review 7:Nice historical building in downtown with very cool tapas bar in the hotel, great food and the staff. Rooms are small but stylish, Ideal for one or two nights. Quite near is Torcal Natural Park.

Review 8:My older kids complained there is no TV in the room for those times when relaxing in between exploring. As it is a traditional property the rooms are small in comparison with no external windows. For some reason the plumbing made a regular and bothersome noise all the time making it difficult to sleep without the aircon on to drown it out. Parking is difficult, the nearest public parking (other than the minimal on street parking in the area) is nearly a kilometre away.

Review 9:Excellent location, staff good and friendly, lovely old house full of character.

Review 10:The warm water wasn't always warm but it did not mind much in the hot summer days.

Review 11:A large, clean room with air-conditioning that worked well. The bathroom was spacy, too. A great place for great price. We tried the local tapas the bar in the hostel offers, and it is no wonder it has received a number of awards. Wonderful and delicious experience. Would try it again on any return to Antequera. One can leave a car about 300 m from the hostel on a public parking place to save some 15 EUR/day asked in a nearby private parking lot. The hostel staff was helpful in describing the way to get there.

Review 12:Traditional building which has not been extensively renovated to turn it into something it is not. Large comfortable rooms. Fantastic tapas. Convenient location.

Review 13:Sound insulation is not great so when people get back to their rooms at 2-3am it that means you will also be awake then. But it's an old building so to be expected. There is wifi in the hotel but it only reaches the rooms occasionally.

Review 14:My single room was small but pretty and worked well for me. The old building is very charming. Location is great. Tapas bar downstairs is really good. Staff is really friendly and nice. Great value for money!

Review 15:Only criticism: duvets did not have specific covers, just a sheet between you and it. Not sufficient for restless bed occupants.

Review 16:The old architecture of the building; the lovely, friendly staff, and , most of all, the food.

Review 17:It was not possible to park nearby, and we eventually found a multi-storey 1-2 kms away. Turns out there is a car park 5 minutes' walk from the hotel, but it's impossible to find without prior knowledge or directions.

Review 18:The location is great for strolling around the town centre, and the bar serves excellent tapas. Our room was comfortable, the rate very reasonable, and the staff were extremely helpful.

Review 19:The broken/missing floor tiles

Review 20:The old world charm and delightful archtectural features Supper by an open fire with an undertable heating arrangement as a bonus

Review 21:Breakfast rather simple, but for 3,- euro, what more can you expect ?

Review 22:Friendly staff, location, restaurant with excellent dishes, the open fire and traditional (original) feetwarmer under the table !!

Review 23:I stuck in the bathroom as there was no proper handle. but that was a bit fun :D

Review 24:Tapas bar downstairs is excellent, the building old and nice

Review 25:Full of carachter but basic

Review 26:Central location and value for money

Review 27:Location and frindly staff

Review 28:Because of the layout a lot of noise from the restaurant below.
