Review 1：Outstanding hospitality, many thanks. The location is very scenic (but you really need a car to get there, or like walking long distances). The walking trail through the Salzach Golling Gorge starts from just behind the guesthouse (but caution - seriously not to be attempted without proper ankle supporting hiking boots/walking shoes, and beware of incorrectly located map signboard at the other end of the trail). Going the other way, the scenery between the guesthouse and Werfen is absolutely spectacular.

Review 4：It is a little bit confusing to find the location as the address that appears on the site takes you 3 km away from the location. A short phone call to the hotel and we were there. The hotel is in Golling, on the side. To get there easily, just follow the name of the hotel on the signs

Review 5：Great location. Close to the ice cave and salt mine. On a moutain with a great view! Very clean, spacious family room, warm staff, and very delicious dinner. If we come back to this area, we will definitely stay in this hotel!

Review 16：This was our second stay here, and we loved it. We brought my husband's family, and they were charmed as well. The breakfast is incredible. The kitchen is amazing - you should definitely eat dinner there as well! The biggest improvement from our first stay was the addition of a play room right off of the dining area. Our 1 year old son loved the ball pit!! David is incredibly nice, and he is very knowledgeable about the local area.

The views from the hotel were gorgeous, the rooms very clean, and the meals - both dinner and breakfast - were outstanding. The location is great, providing quick travel to Salzburg, the Werfen ice cave, Hallein salt mine, Golling waterfall, and numerous other attractions. We had an excellent stay and would certainly return.

Review 21：The hotel is in a marvellous location, perhaps more in summer than with 50 cm of snow, but its effect is the same. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, the room very spacious. Friendly staff, especially with those adverse weather conditions: early in the morning they are cleaning the streets with SHOVELS!

Review 26：We stayed here 3 nights. A perfect location for day trips around the area. The train was only 2 Euro pp one way to Salzburg, much easier than parking there. The staff was very friendly and we had so much fun with our waiter. Laughed throughout most our meals. View from our balcony was beautiful and it was a short distance to town and hiking to waterfalls. Great time.

Review 27：The guest house is located on top of a tunnel amisdt a very scenic and beautiful valley. The rooms had a balcony viewing the valley which makes it all the more beautiful. Salzachöfen is also situated just next to the guest house.

Review 30：Restaurant has very limited selection and they had several tour busses (5 in two days) stop to eat. It was a madhouse whenever a bus stopped. Although the Gasthof is perfectly acceptable a better choice can be made down the hill in Golling.

The hostess are nice people - willing to assist and to provide information on attractions, restaurants etc. Rooms are clean and cosy. Review 33：The activity starts to get too noisy around 8:30 AM so don’t plan to sleep too late. The interior sound proofing is not very good (as can be expected given the fact that it is an older guest house/inn) and you can hear some of the noise in the restaurant and/or adjacent rooms.

The views from the hotel were great and the location great for visits, not only to Saltzburg but further afield like Grossglockner, the latter just over an hour away.
