Facing directly onto the sea at Andratx Port, western Mallorca, the Brismar offers large rooms with satellite TV. Andratx Beach and the center of town are less than 165 ft away.

Review 1：Poorly run, outdated hotel, shame as it has so so much potential, but sadly from the awful service at reception (would make fawlty towers world class service beaters), to the very basic rooms, thin walls & doors..... an experience do not wish to repeat

Review 3：Friendly and efficient staff, beautiful location. We have been staying at this hotel for over ten or twelve years, and appreciate the sympathetic improvements the new owners have made. This place provides all that we need on a cycling holiday, including safe overnight storeage for our bikes! This time, we stayed in one of the sea facing rooms, and , although some reviewers have complained about noise from the adjacent bar, we did not find that this presented a problem, as the double glazed windows provide excellent insulation. Comfortable bed, air conditioning, free ( and functioning wifi), and a delicious breakfast on the terrace. What is there not to like? We will be back!

Review 8：Great location, friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel is a beautiful old building, comfortable, quiet and very tastefully decorated. We had a room at the front with a balcony and a great view of the marina.

Review 11：Rather basic room but clean with a comfortable bed.. Bedside lamps would be more practical and useful rather than one light above.. Also, although not hotel's fault, the garbage/sanitary collection every morning at 5 a.m. woke us up every time. Perhaps the windows should be sound-proofed.

Review 15：Everything other than location Room was like a dungeon Bathroom was probably fitted in the 1950's Walls were so thin we could hear everyone around us talking Bins in the car park were emptied around 6am which woke us when we eventually managed to get to sleep. The minimum a hotel should be able to offer is a night's sleep. I didn't get that. Didn't sample the breakfast as it was being offered in a dark horrible room so didn't bother to stay any longer

Review 17：location was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially the evening staff. Came in late after having a few drinks and no where was open for food. He was pleasant and kind and let us make some toast in the restaurant which we thought was fab. Room and the whole hotel was spotless too.

Review 18：The Hotel lift very noisy at night the door bangs shut very load especially if your room close by. Could be more variety of fresh fruit at breakfast not just Oranges!

Review 35：WIFI didn't work for 4 days. I think the addition of a fridge to the rooms would be helpful and would make guests stay more comfortable. Car park at rear was a bit of a nightmare. Flooded and lots of double parking. Hired car through via hotel. It was a bit of an old nail.

Review 45：This hotel was great. Right in the port and it had an amazing terrace for the breakfast which was outstanding. You can eat while looking out at the boats in the port and enjoy the view. The room also had a lovely balcony which was perfect for relaxing after an excursion. Also very close to the amazing Gran Folies Beach (6 minutes by car) and free parking in a car park just behind the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helped us with tickets for the marineland park which was also a short drive away. Best of all was the ability to walk to the cafes and bars just minutes away from the hotel.

When went down toreception from room and said we did not think we had the number in ourpack, somewhat brusquely told to go back and read my welcome pack whereI would find it! Surely it could have been written down for us at thatstage just in case it was not in the pack? We felt like stupid schoolkids rather than valued guests at that initial stage. Not a good firstimpression of reception staff. Thereafter aok.

Review 54：Small traditional hotel set right on the harbour front. Immaculately clean with friendly, helpful staff who made us welcome when we arrived and whenever we came in. Breakfast was a fine spread but we did not try dinner there. The room was big enough and the beds very comfortable. It was a good starting point for rambles. We'd go back again

TV worked, AC worked, good water pressure. Would have liked a kettle in the room for coffee but not a problem to go down to the buffet and get hot water/coffee before breakfast. Breakfast good although would have liked fresh orange juice. Plenty to choose from.

The hotel car park was very welcome particularly when Port Andratx is not the easiest place to find parking. Or welcome at the hotel was just great, we were expected and everything we needed to know was explained quickly.

Review 70：We stay here at least once a year, as part of a cycle tour, and are always very well looked after. The hotel is in a spectacular spot, and has beautiful indoor and outdoor areas for relaxing. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and furnished with well made. Majorcan furniture- no white MDF here. If the weather allows, there is a beautiful pool for residents'use, and breakfast ( which, by the way is excellent) can be eaten indoors, or on the terrace. A little gem, ideal as a base for walking and cycling.

The coffee in particular poor and as we like to sleep in while on holiday by the time we arrived at breakfast at 10.15 there was very little left and generally no staff around who could gave possibly brought more out.

Noisy refuse bin collection at 4.30am 5am on Saturday, 5am Sunday & 5am Monday - not hotels fault,not good for sleeping. Having to borrow a hairdryer from reception as no hairdryers in rooms. TV very small & old and distant from beds. Electric bedside lamp (only one) with wire trailing across wall and behind my pillow.

There's about ten sun loungers on the hotels lido which have the best view of the port, as well as offering bet access to the crisp, clear water. AC was a plus in the middle of August. We have stayed here three times for five days or more and never break the bank

Review 98：We have stayed at the Brismar on a number of occasions, over many years, and once again we had a wonderful time. The hotel enjoys the very best location in the port; the views are exceptional and the staff friendly and attentive. The hotel has been upgraded and now enjoys air conditioning which, in the hottest months of the summer, is welcome. I cannot recommend the hotel enough.

Review 101：The trash collection wakes anyone up...it's usually at around 5-6am,and the throwing away of glass bottles in the middle of the night is tragic...the breakfast could also be a bit more varied and more fresh.
