Reviews for Appart'City Angers

Review 1:Would appreciate if the hotel would look back into their room cleanliness procedures... while most hotels provide daily cleaning of the room there was no cleaning for 7 days..

Review 2:This is the second time i visit the hotel is Confortable... Very Quiet and in a Good location.

Review 3:No usable Internet. Surly, rude staff. Inflexible conditions. All facilities in room 20 years out of date. There are so many better options in Angers at same or better price. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here for any reason

Review 4:Location not bad.

Review 5:Broadband was slow and this was erritanting on Business

Review 6:The parking was an additional payment but well worth it in a secure underground car park below the Hotel. The breakfast was fine tipically French

Review 7:I stayed here 2 years ago and was more than happy to return. The reason i would not return is that the internet did not work and the reception did not make any effort to help find a solution. also the clenliness of the appartmet was very disappointing.... Food left in the fridge from previous booking, dish washer not working, lights in bathroom not working.

Review 8:great location

Review 9:This was ideal for us. We wanted a base from which to see as much of the Loire Valley as we could. It was practical in that we could prepare food for ourselves when we chose to, saving a few pounds. The beds were very comfortable, the shower room was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly

Review 10:- WiFi only available at reception - Internet was not working that day, but we got our money back for it

Review 11:- helpful and friendly staff - very good location for sightseeing

Review 12:Quite tight for space in the bedroom but bathroom was good size. Breakfast was OK - adequate but nothing special.

Review 13:Good apartment with self catering possible. Good location to walk around the town. Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 14:We arrived late - an email had been sent with directions on how to get in after 11pm but this did not arrive before we left on holiday and we do not check email on holiday. A text would have helped, or these directions should be given with booking confirmation.Luckily a staff member was still around! Place was difficult to locate at night without sat-nav, coming off the main road . We had booked parking in the hotel car park for 2 cars and there was only one space left - there is on- street parking round the back near the garage entrance, but it is metered during the day. None of these things should be a problem if you were arriving early.

Review 15:The apartment was roomy, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite being near a main road it was fairly quiet at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast but were able to buy coffee in the breakfast room in the morning. The area is pleasant and there are some shops nearby.

Review 16:We could only use free Wifi downstairs because they only have wired internet available in the rooms. Parking was difficult to get though you can park on the street for quite cheap.

Review 17:Very clean. Really enjoyed having a kitchenette. Close to centre ville. Very affordable.

Review 18:The room was tiny and had sn unpleasant oudor from the carpets which were stained from ' sick'!!! Only 2 small hand towels provided for a family of 4! No air conditioning No Internet connection.

Review 19:Location of the City Apart is central, close to restaurants. The price is basically reflecting what you would expect.

Review 20:Only Wi-Fi in the fryer, should have in rooms to .Staff should man front desk a bit more.

Review 21:Friendly staff.Decent location.Clean & tidy residence. Spacious rooms to.

Review 22:The cost of kept low by having no reception overnight; you are given access to your key by email containing a safe code but with 20 keys in there, for security your room number is sent by text. This was not the case for us though, so I spent 45 minutes phoning someone for help. Not good at 2am after driving for 9hrs. Staff not particularly bothered either which was great.

Review 23:Location was fine, parking on site is helpful

Review 24:The bathroom is slippy and there is nothing in the shower to make it less slippy I had a great fall during the shower got injured. Talked to the staff and never heard any reply from the manager whatsoever. I will file a lawsuit.

Review 25:Bed is confortable

Review 26:Not sure what the difference was between the European breakfast and "American Breakfast."

Review 27:Close to the town center. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and pleasant room.

Review 28:- I have noticed this only at home when I was going through my travel expenses. I paid for the internet connection although I haven't used one. It is not a big amount of money (1.05 EUR per day), but nobody asked me if I want to have it or not, they just charged me for it. - Also the price for a breakfast was higher than during reservation (0.20 EUR per breakfast). Again, not big deal, but I don't like when someone (intentionaly or not) is charging me more than should. - The system with closing the doors is a little bit annoying (you need to put your key card when opening and closing), but I can understand the reason (since the reception is not open all the time this prevents of locking key card inside the appartment), - Small bedroom. I was traveling alone and had two separate beds in the room which fill all available space of the bedroom. If you put your suitcase somewhere on the floor, you have a big chance to kick it from time to time. I guess this is not a problem when you keep the appartment for longer time. - The shower was smelling of urine the first time after checking in to the appartment. - there are no hangers to put your jacket somewhere in the hallway, The day of my check out the breakfast hours were changed but the announcement about this was available probably very late (I noticed this when I went to have breakfast, although the previous nigth I returned to appartment quite late, ~23.00). - at the end of the stay you are requested to get rid of you garbage by putting these to the garbage container at the parking. This is fine, but when I went there the parking was closed and since I had no car at the parking I had no access. I guess at the reception they have a key, but if you are in a rush to catch your train you don't want to loose your time to go back and forth.

Review 29:- Spacious bathroom (but small shower), - Decent breakfast although probably a little bit overpriced

Review 30:Key system of door did not work well, had to swipe many times to lock/open door Inside door damaged by a previous guest that apparently had been very upset Dirty dishes in the dishwasher in the kitchenette Fridge very noisy Breakfast: way too expensive for a very limited choice

Review 31:Location, close to city centre / old town and castle Service is very efficient The independence of a studio with small kitchen versus the usual hotel room Complete and practical kitchenette

Review 32:This hotel 1st class for the price clean and modern, Did not like the hotel moliere which originally booked but walked out immediately after climbing 5 flights of stairs no lift shocking hotel, booking.com should look in to this

Review 33:modern and clean hotel for the price excellent value, location perfect if visiting students right outside uni short walk in to town, checked us in late after cancelling hotel moliere which should not even be on booking.com standard was shocking

Review 34:As above. A/C system not working.temp was 25 during the night. The technician sent to repair it to couldn't and said that the system itself was just very poor.Slept with the window open Yat

Review 35:Using the kitchen rather than restaurants

Review 36:I was told there is wifi and there was only at reception and not in the rooms. The entrance to the room was bigger than the room itself, the distribution of the room not good at all. Great location however and was cheap.

Review 37:The location was great.

Review 38:Breakfast not included. No WiFi inside the rooms. Luaggage storage extra charge fees are 1€50 per day.

Review 39:Tram station within walking distance. Parking is available nearby and free of charge.

Review 40:nothing

Review 41:This was excellent value for the money and space. It was clean, complete and ideal for 3 or 4 people. It was a good breakfast and the girl at the front desk made a good dining recommendation of Le Souffle.

Review 42:If you arrive late the reception is closed and you have a code to enter the building. The keys of your room are in a safe in the lobby. They must send a sms to you with a code to open the safe. In our case they forgot to sent it and we had a problem. Finally we met a girl who spoke french, she call to the main office by phone and open the safe.

Review 43:First week of new year at university alittle noisy on the streets. Very quiet in the facility. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 44:but once we settled into the convenience of kitchen, fridge, a very large room we were very pleased. The bathroom was large, clean and well organized. Location for us was perfect, we walked to all the local wonders. We had a car and travelled each day to one or more interesting towns.

Review 45:The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. Very well located being within a few minutes walk from the main shopping area and the beautiful castle. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Review 46:Pay extra for internet Rooms are pretty cramped

Review 47:Located in a relatively noisy street but only a short (10 mins) walk to the centre of town and cathedral. Wifi is not free, you need to pay a small fee to use a hotspot in your room however it is free in the lobby. Key sports and movie channels are not available on the basic cable offering. Parking on site is a bonus in a congested location

Review 48:Uninvolvement of staff. We arrived late after reception closed. They emailed instructions for code numbers etc to gain access to our room but we did not have internet access. If it had not been for a very helpful graduate student we would have had to locate elsewhere which would have been difficult given the hour. She contacted personnel by phone and we finally gained access to our apartment around midnight. Entire stay of 2 nights unpleasant.

Review 49:Not much. Apartment very cramped.

Review 50:WiFi free only in reception. Sheets changed only once The hotel parkimg is expesive (6.50E/night) but it is possible to park free just 2 blocks from the hotel.

Review 51:We were there for 14 nights and used kithen for the breacfast and for dinner. It is separated from the bedroom, no smell, no noise. There was eve dishwasher. And all the rest was OK

Review 52:A bit of a walk from Angers Train Station.

Review 53:Nice size studio apartment, very clean and modern with all the essential appliances to aid one in catering for their family. Highly recommended.

Review 54:We stayed over night in this hotel in France on our way further south. There was three families altogether and we all thought it was a great hotel with everything we needed. There were plenty of restaurants near by to eat at in the evening. Would definitely go back!

Review 55:The clean of the bathroom was not sufficent and in the standard of this kind of hotel

Review 56:Big room whit a lot of space, cooking area is useful to save some money, the sheet were clean but not the bathroom

Review 57:Reception closes at 5, after which you need a code to get in. They Email this to you just before you arrive. OK if you can pick up Emails. We didn't get the family room we asked for. Too few towels, too small and thin. Limited soap. No receptionist to provide more towels. Basic breakfast is €9.50 each. Skip it and buy lunch elsewhere for the same money! Angers is closed on Sundays. Very difficult to find a restaurant.

Review 58:Clean and tidy. Convenient if you are visiting the University of Angers across the road.

Review 59:Kitchen - fridge noisy, washing up facilities poor, despite notice warning of extra cost for failing to clean up. Sponge old and no tea towel. Sofa bed also noisy and pillows too small. Car Park system could have been explained better at booking.

Review 60:Angers is a nice place. Room was clean, plenty of towels. Staff pleasant, despite initial off-handedness on first arrival (we arrived before check-in time, entered hotel for advice on parking and directions)

Review 61:Very complicated when we arrived. No one at reception after 17 hours on Sunday. Had to make contact by phone as had no wi fi connection to receive instructions for accessing code and then different code for safe. Fortunately I speak French as person I spoke to on phone did not speak English. She became impatient with me because I did not understand the French for the symbol hash. I had requested parking but they had no record of this. I was not the only person on I this situation . There was a Spanish couple who after an hour had not gained access to their appartment. No instructions either on how to open and lock door. I

Review 62:Breakfast excellent, receptionist in morning very pleasant. Clean and relatively quiet..

Review 63:Had to phone for codes for late access but managed. To speak to someone in English. Door to apartment failed to lock on exit and lack of staff at apartment block meant we couldn't get assistance till next morning.

Review 64:Apartment clean. Mini hob, good size fridge / freezer. Comfortable beds

Review 65:Wi-fi is extra, kitchen clean up is left to guests, extra supplies are left for the guest to ask for or provide, the carpets in the corridor need to be properly cleaned.

Review 66:The staff are friendly, the location is good, a direct tram to the station, ten minutes on foot to the centre. Over all a serviceable hotel.

Review 67:No cold water for the first night. Not a massive deal as staff fixed it promptly the next day.

Review 68:Clean and comfortable. Location to the rest of the Loire valley is great.

Review 69:Location off the main ring road is excellent. easy to get in and out of the city. Also good location for city sites, bars, restaurants, post office next door, and river. Excellent garage parking facilities.
