Reviews for Haus Albblick
Review 1:Personal, very friendly, accommodating service, stunning views of the Swabian Alb and of Tuebingen, creative atmosphere with art and images from Africa and family-friendly with toys for children
Review 2:If checking in soon after noon, one has to pick up the keys down the hill. The procedure should be noted CLEARLY before one is at the door of the hotel. As solo traveler you then drag your luggage down the hill, and up the hill again. Not exactly fun in about 38°C ;-)
Review 3:Very helpful, and nice staff. Quiet location.
Review 4:The second of the two rooms we booked was at the back of the house meaning it didn't have any view at all and was quite dark and small. The location of the house was very difficult to find especially to English speakers! Nobody was on reception at the hotel after midday on Saturday meaning I had to collect the keys from the nearby hospital.
Review 5:The views were wonderful in one of the rooms we stayed in, the breakfast was delicious and the showers were surprisingly good!
Review 6:Poor exsistance of staff...There sould be at least one person during the night...it is not a good way to go and collect the key from the clinic...
Review 7:I like the environment
Review 8:We were very happy with our stay. It was great to be able to do the laundry. There is a steep hill, so the parking is at the top on one street, the house is on one street below and the hospital which owns and manages the house is one street below If you arrive by car then type the address Im Rotbad 49 into your navigation system to find the parking area. We arrived after 2:00, so we parked, walked past the house on the steep steps to the left to the hospital to collect the key. There is only a tv in the basement, but there is a communal kitchen on the 2nd floor. The drive to the old town was 5 minutes.
Review 9:smiling staff
Review 10:The beds definitely need an upgrade. Hard and holes in the linnen. Rooms are not cleaned.
Review 11:Good breakfast.
Review 12:wi-fi sometimes erratic
Review 13:calm, nice place 20 min. on foot from Tübingen center
Review 14:Guest house is far from its parking lot. (But it can not be changeable.) Bed looks like for hospital. Not comfortable.
Review 15:Fast Wi-Fi
Review 16:The walk up the hill from town is a killer. It is a good way of getting fit.
Review 17:Quiet, very convenient being close to the town. Good cooking facilities.
Review 18:The price is a little higher than that we expected.
Review 19:The hotel is perfect. The staff are all very kind.
Review 20:Booking in is a bit of a trial, but we got there in the end!
Review 21:A very spacious room the kitchenette was very useful. It was a 20-30 minute walk into town down a lot of steps we stopped counting at 200! A good breakfast and very quiet location.
Review 22:There's no elevator in the building. Far from public transportation. No safety deposit box.
Review 23:The price is affordable. Nice and quiet. Breakfast, though continental, is very good, has various choices.
Review 24:Walking to the hostel with heavy pack is a little bit difficult.
Review 25:Not too swanky, not too rustic, just right. Room had nice light and nice evirons immediately around house. Easy enough to get to university and down town.
Review 26:Climbing the steps from the adjoining street to reach the location was a real drag for me! It was also not very ok to not meet reception even if that was mentioned in advance. It will be nice to have someone there when one arrives. Also no TV in room.
Review 27:It was neat and spacious. Breakfast was good.
Review 28:If you don't drive a car, then you must have problem to find that place. so many steps you have to across.
Review 29:Originally, I thought the place is too hard to find, although it is. It's in a mountain, and it's very difficult to bring the heavy luggages along the hill road and steps. But one you do, the whole view of the room is extremely beautiful. Very fresh air and very fresh trees outside.
Review 30:Not very easy to find but that is hardly a negative. No TV in the room might weigh heavier with some.
Review 31:Great value for (little) money. Very friendly staff. More youth hostel than hotel but very pleasant and clean with modern bathroom.
Review 32:No real negatives, just a couple of things future guests might wish to know: The wireless didn't play nice with my computer at first - I was on a Macbook which detected the network as WEP, which is what the laminated sheet they give you with the guest info says it is. I had to manually tell it that it is actually WPA Personal to get it to work. Did not care enough to investigate further, just thought I'd leave this bit of info for future guests. It's a guesthouse, not a hotel, so you have to bring your own toiletries and there is no daily room service.
Review 33:The place was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was good (it was your average German breakfast buffet, with good quality food and decent coffee). There is a small kitchen at the end of the hallway that guests can use to make tea and prepare small meals - I didn't use it, but it looked nice and clean as well. Once I got the wireless to work, it was stable and relatively fast. The guesthouse is a bit out of the city centre and there is a lot of green around the house, which leads to a very nice view. The city centre is easily accessed both by foot and by bus.
Review 34:The location could be tough for an inexperienced traveller .
Review 35:It's located in such a quiet area and very clean . Considering the budget to travel this city , I'll definitely recommend this place .
Review 36:Limited reception hours and confusing key setup for weekend check-in.
Review 37:It was interesting. An old hospital or nursing home? Quiet and out of the city but with access to the city.
Review 38:very difficult to find and located away from the city centre. But next to the Tropical Institute Hospital, and very suitable for relatives of patients. There is only one bus line.
Review 39:clean, high standards although basic very suitable for families, limited hours for a healthy simple breakfast, library and place to study, free wifi and friendly staff. Mountain residential area.
Review 40:Lack of signage when we arrived at night and didn't know to go tothe hospital to collect our keys. Since we couldn't find the hotel,we went to the hospital to ask directions and we amazed to find theywere acting as reception for the guest house
Review 41:People, view, amenities, piano
Review 42:No TV in the room.
Review 43:too high price in comparism with services and quality
Review 44:very kind staff, good breakfast
Review 45:Wonderful, friendly place, quiet and comfortable.
Review 46:Getting there. It's high up on the hill and carrying my suitcase up was a torture.
Review 47:Breakfast was good, free wi-fi.
Review 48:Great location and the large, beautiful grounds.
Review 49:Early check out time. Hard to find enterance.
Review 50:Nice stuff. Good breakfast. Very, very clean. Montain area with fresh air. Nice kitchen.
Review 51:The subtle spiritual background, the peace.
Review 52:The location is bad
Review 53:W fi is free
Review 54:Very basic rooms.
Review 55:Beautiful location, quiet, could hear birds singing and had a lovely view. Very helpful, friendly staff
Review 56:Not so close to the city center, but regarding the price this isquite fair
