Review 31：The staff at La Isla went above and beyond to help me while I was staying in their hostel. They taught me about bus routes in town, where to shop, and how to get to know Mahón. When I left the hostel early because I found an apartment, they didn't even charge me a cancellation fee and refunded all of my money, no questions asked. Very sweet people, a great location in the center of the city, and a comfortable place to rest your head.

Review 41：More like a HOTEL, this Hostel is family run by the third generation owner. From the moment the door was opened by the owner's Wife we were treated like Royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole place has a beautifully clean modern feel to it, not a speck of dust to be found. The Air conditioned room was so comfortable and the en-suite was spotless with endless hot water. At breakfast we were asked what we wanted and it was served up with endless tea,coffee and toast. I recommend the Eggs from the family farm, Mmmm. I would definitely stay there again and very well may do next year for a week. 5*

Review 42：Very central location, just above the pier, in the old town. Quiet and very clean. The room was very nice and up to standards - looked a lot better than some of the pictures. There is a 24 hour reception service and breakfast was quite flexible although they only serve tostadas (either with cheese, ham etc or with butter and jam) and coffee or juice. Don't expect a buffet, but it's nice and fresh!

Review 43：A very centrally lpcated, clean place with a great price for valuem we booked it as it was the cheapest one in high season and were not disappointed. For the cheapest price we got a quite spacious, clean room and a nice treatment of the receptionist PLUS breakfast included. Def a recommend!!

Review 96：There is a mismatch between the beds and the bedheads - and, as a consequence, they can make a noise when one is moving about in the bed - and this can disturb/wake up one's neighbours. This should be easy to fix - just secure the bedheads to the wall so that they do not bang against it when there is a movement of the bed/ mattress, etc. This should be done asap - because hearing the noises from the next bedroom is not acceptable - even in a two star establishment!

Review 101：Breakfast very poor - a pastry and toasted bread with butter and somejam, though hostal is a good value even without the breakfast. The frontdoor and the reception were closed the entire time I've been in thehostal, you have to enter out back through restaurant. Nobody was thereto check us in at 7pm, the owner's teenage son checked us in but heonly spoke Catalan.

Satisfying food - but don't expect a five stars treatment,remember it is a hostel - daily cleaning service, aircon+wi-fi,closeness to the touristic port, the city centre, a supermarket and afree car parking in case you rent a car. Friendly and kind staff.Believe me, it a good value for money and you won't get deceived bythis hostel.
