Reviews for Pension Schlossbergblick
Review 1:My pillow was a little soft, but apart from that absolutely fantastic value for money.
Review 2:Clarence made met us at the bus stop and made us thoroughly welcome through our stay. Really made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you :)
Review 3:Extremely comfortable accommodation, the customer service was fantastic,Klemens the owner is such a beautiful person who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. A great place to stay to visit the splendour of the southern part of the Black Forest.
Review 4:We only chose to have a small room, the sofa (ripped) could be removed, it would look so much better, without!
Review 5:A very pretty area. Ideal for walking. The host was so lovely and helpful.
Review 6:The owner was very friendly and helpful, really an excellent person. Nice room with bathroom. Breakfast was perfect and well served in the table. Location is nice to visit not only Schwartzwald places, but also Freiburg and Colmar. We were satisfied with the Hotel.
Review 7:Somewhat lacking in little touches such as decent towels and soap, and anywhere to sit during the day downstairs. It was the towel that did it for me - they were all well worn, but mine actually had a frayed corner ...
Review 8:Best described as cheap and cheerful. Pleasant welcome, clean, comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Review 9:The Pension doesn't accept credit card. Parking was a little complex as there weren't really parking spaces so much as a big lot that everyone pulled into. There is a sign out front, but we weren't sure what exactly we were looking for, so finding it was a little hard for us. I don't think that's typical for everyone though.
Review 10:We liked everything. The owner and proprietor was so incredibly friendly and helpful that we could not have asked for a better host in all of the Black Forest! He gave us tons of ideas for things to do and places to go. English is clearly a second language for him, but it doesn't slow him down one bit. It tickled him pink to have people from all different countries staying there. Breakfast was excellent with a full spread and he encouraged us to take it for the road if we couldn't finish everything. Honestly, the reviews were exactly right about this guy. The host alone makes it worth the stay.
Review 11:Wifi was weak.
Review 12:The room was small but comfortable and had an attached shared terrace. The owner was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Invited us for drinks. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 13:Furniture is a bit old but bed was comfortable and rooms were very clean.
Review 14:Klemens, the owner, was extremly nice! Breakfast was amazing. Location is good: 15-20 min from Freiburg Zentrum by car and in a small quiet and lovely village. Authentic house german style!
Review 15:My room was quite drab. It would have been much better with a bedside lamp and wall decorations.
Review 16:The guest master was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good and was included in the room cost. Great value!
Review 17:nothing.
Review 18:We enjoyed everything about our stay at this pension. When we arrived there late in the evening after many traffic jam's, we got a warm welcome by the very friendly owner. He offered us something to drink, to relax from the long journey. The room was good, it was very clean and had a comfortable bed. In the morning the breakfast was incredible. Fresh breads and good coffee We can recommend this pension to everyone! For us three nights was to short, we will definitely return for a longer stay.
Review 19:Excellet service. The owner was an excellent host and did everything possible to accomodate us. The location was perfect if you are interested in trekking in schwartswald. The rooms were simple and nice, good breakfast, free parking, free wifi. Overall, the value was excellent and I would say this was the nicest and greatest B&B experience I have had.
Review 20:The room was clean but the furniture and the bathroom are old-fashion and out-dated.
Review 21:Climens is a very nice host (better if you speak German, he knows very little English). The house is placed in a small village, not very charming, quite and easy to reach by car. There are a bunch of restaurants around.
Review 22:Beautiful little village, good friendly hospitality.Just what we expected of this part of Germany.
Review 23:Bathroom could be updated.
Review 24:The services and the staff.
Review 25:Nothing.
Review 26:Great hospitality OF Mr. Clemens and family. Very welcoming people ensuring comfort of guests.
Review 27:Wifi was a bit to slow
Review 28:Nice people, good breakfast, accomodations good. Very nice village
Review 29:Small bathroom and top of steep stairs !
Review 30:Clean & tidy with good tasty breakfast
Review 31:great value for money in the black forest!
Review 32:Excellente service. No limits for kindness and you feel like at home; everything is taken care with 1st class customer service.
Review 33:The furniture is outdated but the rooms are very clean so we were not really disturbed by this fact.
Review 34:We had a great time at Pension Schlossbergblick. The owner is very friendly and he is trying his best to make your stay at his house as nice as possible. The rooms are big and very clean. The breakfast was also very good and big enough for hungry hikers. We were traveling with a dog and we were very happy to be so welcomed even if we were having our golden with us. We will definitely recommend this b&b to other people and return there with other occasions.
Review 35:We stayed for two nights, but could easily stayed longer- largely due to the great hospitality. Clemmons likes to greet his guests with a drink and get to know his guests. My wife speaks some German which helped with the conversations. Could not hope for friendlier, jollier or more helpful hosts! We thought the rooms were clean and unlike some other reviews, the rooms were in great condition (its just the colours that don't look modern). Highly recommend if you like the social aspects of traveling!
Review 36:We loved our stay here. The room was large, warm and welcoming, with a lovely view from the balcony. The hospitality offered from Klemens the owner was first class. Unlike anything we've ever experienced in a guesthouse before. We enjoyed drinks with him on arrival and in the morning, our plentiful German breakfast with great fresh coffee was one of the best we've had, The guest house is situated in a lovely village with cosy pubs/restaurants nearby. We would definitely return and thoroughly recommend.
Review 37:The pension owner was really great and hospitable, he help us plan the trip and gave us useful advices. Breakfast is really good and recommended. Highly recommended place!!!
Review 38:We immediately felt comfortable by the friendly welcome from Clemence who ensured our stay at Sclossberkblick guest house was memorable - advice of where to visit - transport - where to eat extremely helpful - breakfast also very good
Review 39:Instead of the drink, the departing gift, maybe investing the money in a bit of updating.
Review 40:Hey, the owner was friendly enough. True enough, he offered us a beverage of our choice which we never got around to taking. Actually he seemed a bit disappointed by our refusal. The rooms were only so so. Climbing the stairs are a challenge. Maybe fine a dozen years ago. The town is lovely. We ate down the street in two different places, both reasonable. Breakfast was fine and held us in the road. The place was OK.
Review 41:The host was wonderful, enjoyed sharing a laugh with us and was kind enough to give us an upgraded room at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. I liked the decor of the room. Breakfast was good and we were even given a gift upon our departure.
Review 42:Nothing. I will add that there is no fan or ac .. While this didn'teffect us, it may effect the rest of you.
Review 43:Our host and wife were amazing. He tries so hard to speak English andit's absolutely adorable! The light in our bathroom was burnt outupon arrival but as soon as we noticed he sent for replacement :). Itwas fixed within the hour. The hotel is a charming cute little hometurned into a hotel. You will not experience the high ends of a cityhotel here, but more of a cabin feel. Toiletries are not provided, but Iexpected this among my travel in Europe. Breakfast was included and wasdelightful and plentiful. The atmosphere of the town is very small and Iwould assume it's a quite town. However, there was a fest occurringthe night we were there which was a pleasant surprise. The views areoutstanding and it's really only a 20 minute drive to Triberg andTriberg waterfalls. (Tip: if your going to the falls from this hotel donot stop at the first place you see for the falls. It is a huge climband you have to pay once you get in to the forest (we didn't knowand our money was in the car.. Take yours with you!) there are easierroutes to the falls with parking as you get into the town of Triberg, take these routes instead.
Review 44:Everything was very good. Our room was big and comfortable with balcony and nice views. Everithing looks nice and clean. The breakfast was excellent! And the guy who serves it was very kind.
Review 45:The owner, Clements, is a wonderful host. We had a beer together after arriving at the hotel and Clements described the area. His recommendations for restaurants is very good! ------- Der Eigentümer Clement ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir lieben dieses Hotel und werde hier kommen, wenn wir gehen in den Schwarzwald.
Review 46:Nothing. Possibly a kettle in room to make a cup of tea would have been a good idea.
Review 47:We loved our host Klemens. He was so helpful and friendly even to the point of giving us a basket of fresh cherries when we left and also made coffee for us when we arrived. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable. Surrounding area beautiful to go walking.
Review 48:Really nice host. Offered us a drink at arrivals, gave us a lot of information about the area, and during breakfast many information flyers on the table. Good breakfast, close to restaurants. We were staying in the 'small' room, which is a normal room for 2 persons, not small at all.
Review 49:The Host went out of his way to help with a problem we had. Inspite of the language difficulties he made us very welcome. Traveling round on the low priced hotels.there is always a pleasant surprise.
Review 50:The rooms are big with a sofa and big comfortable bed. The owner was smiling us despite our late check in at 2300. The breakfast was good, gave gift toys to our baby:)) Everything was good..
Review 51:The 3 local restaurants had very limited vegetarian dishes, or none at all.
Review 52:Very friendly staff. Beautiful countryside. Only 30 minutes drive to Freiburg.
Review 53:Even though i arrived After Check-in Time - there was someone to help ... Breakfast was just enough for the day ahead and the owner was super helpful... A perfect little house in the beautiful Black Forest !
Review 54:The location is a bit difficult, if you have a car, then no problem at all. Public transport is not that frequent. If you are a vegetarian you should have your food packed up from some place before going to hotel.
Review 55:The host was great. He did everthing to mek us comfortable. We checked in late so he made sure that he is available to recieve us. Surrounded by river, mountains landscape, this place was amazing. Bus stop was not next to the hotel so any one can commute easily.
Review 56:The hospitality of the owner compensates for his little English, with a true smile and plenty of attentions to the customers. A big room with a big bathroom (we had no terrace). Everything very clean. The rural style is warm, not old-style or baroque. The breakfast is offered in the ground floor, in a very large room that might work as a restaurant or as a bar. The house is in a beautiful valley. We got a public transport pass to go to Freiburg and the black forest for free for the days being in the pension.
