Reviews for Hotel Aurora
Review 1:No air con, I suffered when it was 40 Celsius during the day and 26 Celsius during the night.
Review 2:Staff were really helpful, buffet of a good standard and easy to get to from the train station
Review 3:There is no elevator in the hotel, but the staff was so friendly to take up my suitcase to the second floor.
Review 4:Beautiful location (liberty houses) close to the station and citycentre. Fantastic breakfast, very friendly staff.
Review 5:we were surprised there were no bedside tables in our room
Review 6:Location was excellent 0- easy walk to lovely restaurants and bars and the centre of Wiesbaden.
Review 7:We chose the Aurora for its convenient location. We had one of the larger rooms in the annex, which was nice, but could have used a piece of furniture other than the sofa and that wobbly long table with drawers. Even a luggage rack would have been helpful. Bathroom was great, downright luxurious. Breakfast was wonderful, absolutely the best!
Review 8:We were only told about the stairs when we arrived, we were given a choice on the lower floor but declined. The no lift problem should be made clear before booking. All T.V. channels were non English speaking, not even a news channel. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Lack of small facilities in bathroom/shower (eg hand rail or soap dish).
Review 9:Location very handy for station. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.
Review 10:Garage/entrance door automatic lock is a bit noisy but after 23:00 it was switched off and did not disturb. If you are very sensitive to noise, you might find acoustic isolation a bit thin (neighbors clapping the doors and speaking loud in the corridors late in the evening - just a bad luck).
Review 11:Excellent client crevice! A benchmark, 5 star hotel level! Sober but very tasteful decorations. Comfort and quality.
Review 12:No lift. They can't help you with that. On a positive note it's great work out !!
Review 13:the location great and the bfast was good not overly lots of choice but good quality of food. Hotel has no lift. We climbed 3 floors and took it in our stride but may not be less fit or less positive travelers.
Review 14:Upon check-in we were informed that the hotel currently had no hot water and were willing to find us another hotel. Being tired, we decided to stay. This ended up lasting for all four days of our stay, but they accommodated us with a shower in a part of the building not affected by the water problem. Very nice staff who went out of their way to help.
Review 15:N/AGreat position to the train station
Review 16:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. All in all a great place to stay
Review 17:Hotel's location is on a quiet side street however close to the rail station, good restaurants and the city central. Staff are most helpful and concerned for your needs. Family owned and operated makes you feel at home.
Review 18:Nothing
Review 19:Very friendly and helpful staff. We were given a free upgrade as original room was not available, therefore room and bed were excellent. Location was ideal for city shopping and train station.
Review 20:Low bed and hard and heavy pillow and quilt.
Review 21:We got an upgrade. There was a sofa and a chair in the room and a chandelier in the bathroom. Good parking facilities in looked yard behind the hotel. Good WiFi
Review 22:The bed, very cheap, extremely unconfortable. This hotel is a charming family owned hotel that would need to invest in the quality of the bed it offers.
Review 23:The kindness of the staff always available. The breakfeast with a variety of food like tofu and soya milk. I would improve it with some gluten free and organic products.
Review 24:Rooms ar very small, and there was a transparent door between a window and the room.
Review 25:Location is good, the hotel is within a walking distance from the railway station.
Review 26:There is no lift in the hotel, and you need to be pretty fit to reach the upper levels, so anyone with mobility problems should look elsewhere. The wifi in my room (27) was extremely poor - just about good enough for emails (though only just, and even then with a regular loss of signal), but not much more.
Review 27:The location is very good, within walking distance of the main station, restaurants, shopping centre etc. The breakfast is also excellent, with a huge choice of hot and cold options.
Review 28:I had a triple room booked for 3 nights for a 2 persons business travel. In the first night they change our room to a double room (1 bed) and the heating system was not working (it was cold inside the room). The next two nights we changed to a twin room, this time the heating system was working but the room had a bad smell...sewage smell. In one of the nights wi-fi was not working.
Review 29:Location and the breakfast.
Review 30:We had to climb 85 steps to get to our room...no lift! Bed was very uncomfortable and wifi didn't work. Car parking very tight for space. We wouldn't book again.
Review 31:Good location and breakfast included.
Review 32:the rooms design has nothing to do with nice pictures from hotel description. All rooms were small, with old stuff and quite unefficient heating ;-(
Review 33:Good location - walking distance to the main train station and to the old town area.
Review 34:None.
Review 35:Excellent location and spacious room. Parking was free after 1600 on the street front of the hotel so I did not have to use the paid parking, which seemed to be rather small. Excellent breakfast. The most nice breakfast, variety of foods, I have ever experienced in free breakfasts.
Review 36:Small room
Review 37:I slept very very well: no noises and comfortable bed. The breakfast was something incredible for variety and quantity of food and drinks (I never had a better breakfast in my life)
Review 38:No phone in the room to reach the from desk when needed. blow dryer was very weak walls were so thin you could easily hear people from your neighbouring room
Review 39:Location was central check-in and out was very quick
Review 40:Cleaner waiting outside the room for me to leave each day. Cold breakfast at 9.30 on last morning - toast machine was switched off and food covers had been removed. No telephone in room.
Review 41:Walking distance to the town centre and railway station. Nice helpful staff on Reception. Good price.
Review 42:Nothing!
Review 43:The location was central and within an easy walk to the center of Wiesbaden and the train station. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 44:Wifi didn't work. Safe door didn't open all the way. Coffee entirely too strong.
Review 45:Beautiful use of period building. Room heated before we came. B & W tile foyer, period furniture & chandeliers. Good breakfast. Easy 5 block walk to city center.
Review 46:Our room wasn't ready when we arrived to check in- took an extra hour to be ready. There was no apology or explanation, we were just told we could wait. The room was facing the street so there was a lot of noise. No air conditioning. The bed was very uncomfortable and the linens did not smell good. Check out was a short statement of the cost and a receipt pushed at me with no good bye or thank you.
Review 47:Good location, nice furnishings and modern bathroom, free breakfast
Review 48:The quality of the mattress could be improved but it was okay for one night
Review 49:The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. The room was smallish but fine for one night and the location was very good - close to the train station but not loud.
Review 50:Bed could have used a new mattress, but we were upgraded to theapartment, so I wasn't complaining.
Review 51:Staff was very nice and the breakfast was wonderful. Parking was veryconvenient and only 9 euro/day.
Review 52:The next time I would take a room to the inside, the street is loud in the morning if the window is open.
Review 53:The breakfast had a large variety and was well stocked.
Review 54:could hear everything going on in the hallway like all the doors slamming but would be fine for early risers. Depending on what room you get, you may have a lot of stairs.
Review 55:Staff was very helpful and kind. Lot of variety at breakfast. Comfortable beds after a long day of festivals.
Review 56:Although, common in Europe lots of stairs, no elevator (had 84 year old dad (war vet) with us- asked for twin beds in one room, not available but more than two day notice might have helped. Pretty hot and stuffy in rooms, hard to sleep but, it's summer....
Review 57:Great: Lovely, helpful, friendly staff, fabulously lovely street, free wifi, excellant breakfast, really clean, very near really good walk- to restaurants, great parking on street overnight Good: moderate to easy walk to train station, windows open to allow air into rooms although one of our rooms in back part of hotel had window in bathroom, rooms nice but small, beds comfy. no extra chair in same room. Would definitely return.
