Review 1：Very helpfull staff, thank you Xavi, the view from my balcony was super. Very well located between two villages,beach, walks, restaurants, train station.
Review 2：The shower was small and awkward, but I could say that for most of the 13 Spanish showers I used while I was in the country. There is a train track that runs in between the hotel and the beach. The train ran until sometime slightly after midnight and then started again in the early morning.
Review 3：The view to the Mediterranean is very nice, and it wasn't a busy beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but it was clean. There was a small grocery store, gelato shop, and at least two restaurants on the same dead end street as the hotel. The town center of Canet del Mar is up the hill and around the corner, and it is within easy walking distance. It has a variety of restaurants and shops available. Breakfast had a good variety of options and was a good value. I would stay at this hotel again.
Review 4：Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room, to make our evening herbal tea. We will take one with us next time.
Review 5：The staff are very friendly and helpful. Xavi, is very nice. The view from the terrace and the room, looking out to the sea. Muy Bien! The room was comfortable and clean. Train station 5 minutes walk. Evening Porter Manuel, very nice man. :-) Great Continental breakfast at 6 euros. The ladies serving are really nice too. Wonderful place; just wish we had more time there. We will be going back. Thank you Rocatel Hotel, for making us feel so welcome. There is a nice friendly bar just down the same road on the left, cheap food and very cheerful staff. A place locals sit and drink/eat and we felt very welcome.
Review 6：Too noisy due to the fact that the railway sits just in front. Difficult not to hear the first trains at 6AM... plus the noise in the corridors and surrounding rooms. Room was spotless clean but there were some tiny ants: not a big deal, common in older seaside hotels/apartments.

Review 10：Rooms are tired lacking many of the now standard modern clean edged refinement's of an Ibis or similar group. The Hotel is separated from the Beach by a train line and there is some noise as a result, this does stop overnight but starts early in the morning, although sometimes annoying it is not intolerable and you do get used to it. This said if you accept it for what it is, the dated rooms and train line shouldn't spoil your stay.
Review 11：The Staff were friendly and very willing to help, our room although tired had views from the balcony over the lovely beach. Free secure parking makes it a very good option for those traveling.

Review 19：The balcony with great seaviews on the fourth floor! Right on the beach, simple basic facilities but everything perfect in order. Small towncentre of Canet 10 min. walk away. Friendly staff, very easy to reach off the NII, 30 min drive to airport Girona.

Even if the hotel was full and there were manyarrivals on the same day, everything went just great, very helpfulpeople at all times on everything we needed. Review 21：Hotel restaurant is not suitable for a good dinner
Review 22：a good place to stay for a couple of days in front of the see. Clean room (ok, not so clean like hotels in Finland or Germany, but for Spain it is clean!). Free parking and railway station nearby makes hotel easily reachable by car and public transport. English speaking people at the reception.
Review 23：If you have sleeping problem then you can get a goodnight sleep between 23:00 to 05:00. That is the time when the trains stop running. Otherwise the surrounding area was quiet.

Review 28：The location is excellent, nice terrace overlooking a beach, very friendly family is running this hotel, the beach is big and with few people only, hotel pool is also good. In addition a quite fair local draught beer in the bar on terace, open whole day and evening, breakfast good enough to fill you up to evening. Rooms are simple, but very clean. Free parking as well. Wifi also working fine. We spent there very nice 6 days with my wife, and we are very satisfied.

Review 71：I agree with a previous review, this hotel is 1 star, and so the rooms are basic but despite the train line, we had a comfortable night with the windows open, the shutter down and the overhead fan on. The infrequent trains don't run overnight so noise was minimal.

Review 85：it was really fantastic time at this hotel! first of all, it is ideally situated - just in front of the beach and sea, and besides we got the room with the great sea view and balcony, as we asked previously. as for our opinion hotel should be more than 1 star. train station and city centre are just 10 minutes walk. hotel is really clean, comfortable, has swimming pool and parking. also you can drink coffee and other drinks sitting at the cafe with amazing views. in fact there is like being at home - people who work there could not do more for us! they were friendly, attentive, hospitable and speak different languages (English, German, Spanish etc.). we would return here again with great pleasure. thank you very much!
