Review 1：We were on the 8th and 9th floor, but it could be a little noisy during the weekends from the street noises.

Review 2：Central location to all the restaurants and attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpfully in setting up tours and sheeting up the transportation. Clean and comfortable rooms with good breakfast.

Review 3：Pictures of room, lobby, etc. in website, quite different to reality Very average breakfast Very bad internet service, and poor service from the staff in this regard. They were not able to solve a very simple connection problem on their end, even after multiple requests from my part.

Review 5：First we had a room at the 10th floor that is newly build. But the windows are quite tin so you could hear the street noise quite well. The next day we got a room at the 8th floor which was better. But that's the price for staying close to plaza foch and bars, clubs and restaurants. I would stay there again because of the walking distance to plaza foch where we had dinner every night. The most noise was on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Other days weren't so bad. Walking the streets at night can be a little bit dodgy. If you don't mind a little walking during the day you can walk to all points of interest. We even walked to park Carolina although that is a little bit far compared too anything else. There are some nice walking routes on the city map. Only for the historical center you have to go by taxi which is $3 or $5. The staff is very nice and speaks English quite well. The breakfast is also very nice with a lot to choose from. The wifi is awesome. Good connection everywhere in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Review 6：The reception gave me wrongly a wake up call at 2 AM. Later this guest who had to get up at this time was very loud. When I told this story to the receptionist, she did not apologize, what I thought would have been the least she could have done.

Review 9：The staff were all very nice and helpful. The quality of service was excellent and professional. Our room was clean and had a great view of the city and Cotopaxi. Breakfast was scrumptious with a mix of western and local food.

Daytime super safe, nightime we took extra precautions of crossing streets before possible sketchy encounters. Easy, quick and cheap access via cab to teleferico ($2-3) and historic center ($2-3). A couple of shopping malls a few minutes away. Room service. 24 hr restaurant. Great view from room 906...could see Cotopaxi.

Review 21：Arriving at night after 11 hour flight the view from our 10th floor room to the town, shining in the electric lights, was amazing. The restaurant on the first floor is pleasantly nationally decorated and gives you a selection of national food.

Review 22：They had no room for me despite it being booked and confirmed. I had to sleep in the lobby until 3.15 am until somehow they found me a room. No apology, no offer of drink etc no blanket. Said they would get me another hotel of lesser standard but had to find my own way there

Review 24：Misleading information on location - 15 minutes from the airport (the reason we chose this hotel) but they didn't say that was from the old airport that is now closed - so we were 1 1/2 hrs away from the airport.

Review 26：Just a wonderful location in such a beautiful town. The room we had was beautiful and so large and the extra touches like rose petals on the bed, fresh roses in the rooms and a basket of fresh oranges was so thoughtful and nice. We even had a fire each evening in the room and when we called to request it they were there in minutes. The facilities are stunning and well maintained. We stayed only two nights but I wish we could have stayed for longer! It is a bit pricier than other locations but worth it in my opinion if you can splurge a little for an extra special treat.

Review 27：Poor call for taxis,had to wait while other taxis passed the hotel. Hotel staff not proficent in Ingles, if necessary,.Doorman have no idea what you tell them, regarding directions.Commuinication skills of total staff needs improvement, consideration of international travellers. Otherwise , the hotel is of soun d value. Breakfast if not incuded, is a poor choice @ $12.00.

Review 55：Ok I reserved our rooms on line, at the time of checking in, at the front dest, they couldn't find our reservation. They asked me how much I paid for two rooms, when I told them how much I paid, they made a face as if they said that's impossible. The stuff was rude and wanted us to pay more money for the rooms. I told them to cancel my reservation and then they said oh we found your reservation but you have to pay more money. Booking.com accepted my reservation with no problems when I reserved it. Why can't rio amazonas hotel honor the reservation? Anyway, we walked out of the rio amazonas hotel frustrated and started hunting for another hotel in the area dragging our bags. We found a better hotel with better customer service.

Review 57：At reception it was a bit hap hazard, checking in which should be simple wasn't and asking for help to find a camera repair shop was extremely difficult. The location was not great as the music from the bars was extremely loud and you can still hear it even if you are on a high floor. Apparently the quiet night was a Sunday, but unfortunately for us we were there a Friday and Saturday night.

Review 58：The wifi was quite fast. But you needed to login to a proxy server EVERY TIME you needed connection. Even for a second without use it would disconnect. No Pool. The lift was not so safe. No alarm sound. No security getaway.
