Reviews for Le Royalty

Review 1:no special things that I didn't like. Just, there was no electric kettle, room was not enough warm.

Review 2:location was good. Kind staff. Room was clean. Reasonable price

Review 3:Owner is warm, personable and welcoming. Our room was renovated and lovely. We were biking the Loire Valley and our bikes were put in a safe place. Great breakfast! We recommend this little hotel at the door of the old town!

Review 4:Despite allowing the dog to stay at the hotel they would not allow us to take him into the very small area used for serving breakfast.

Review 5:Inexpensive hotel, clean and tidy and well situated for exploring the town but pretty basic. ie you get what you pay for.

Review 6:The internet connection. In some devices, the connection was reseted very often and went back to the advertisement page.

Review 7:The staff was very friendly, providing information about the city and maps. Good breakfast. Basic rooms but very clean. Located at a walking distance from the city centre. A tram stop is also available just 50 metres walking or less.

Review 8:Infuriating wifi. set up. Very small shower (I am only 5'2'') lack of water/tea/coffee in the room.

Review 9:Friendly owner, good price, well situated and helpful staff. Clean and accommodating.

Review 10:I came to angers for the psych fest , so the hotel was a 20 minute walk . There is a tram stop nearby so its easy to get to angers railway station . The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town . The staff are very helpful . I would stay at the hotel again

Review 11:Very crammed room - hostel style really with a double next to a bunk.

Review 12:Great low price, walking distance to the city. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and humorous.

Review 13:Very small shower cubicle, noisy outside (although only because it was too hot to have the windows closed-no aircon in room, just a fan)

Review 14:Staff really helpful especially the lady at breakfast who allowed us to practice our French, advised on places to eat & visit. Hotel very clean

Review 15:Traffic noise through the night when window open but to be expected in the middle of a city on a very hot evening, however the following day we were offered a fan for our room which made a big difference.

Review 16:Friendly and extremely helpful staff with plenty of information and advice e.g. 'whats on today/evening'. Great location Good wi-fi signal Clean & comfortable Good value for money Email notification/directions the day before we travelled and again on our first evening reminding us of the code for the door if we returned after 9.00pm Great customer service - so refreshing

Review 17:The temperature was over 90 (33 C) and there was no air conditioning. With the windows wide open, it was hot, and the road noise made it impossible to sleep. With the windows closed, it was sweltering. When I got back from dinner, the hotel was locked up; nobody had given me an access code. I had to go to a tavern and have them call the hotel to get someone to let me in. This took more than an hour.

Review 18:Excellent location - right next to the old city. Good breakfast.

Review 19:A bit noisy due to road but otherwise all OK.

Review 20:Super spot, handy for the town etc with parking (payable in daytime) right in front of hotel. Staff are excellent and breakfast well worth the extra £3 each

Review 21:The lady that owns the hotel is really super nice and helpful. She makes the hotel I´d say, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is basic but recently rennovated and has small but very charming rooms.

Review 22:It was far away from the location of the conference I participated.

Review 30:Everyting was great and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Review 31:The coffee and chocolate offered during the breakfast are not good at all. Except that, all was fine in this hotel.

Review 32:Breakfast

Review 33:small room, but all the France rooms were small, so this isn't a fault of hotel

Review 51:The outside could do with smartening up (minor point)

Review 52:Friendly helpful owners

Review 53:The man on the reception wasn't very friendly...

Review 54:The reception Woman was very friendly and helpful

Review 55:Nothing not to like.

Review 56:Very central, and very helpful staff. Comfortable beds, good shower, and - although on a main street and a musical night - not too noisy. Plenty of breakfast. Parking across the road. Good value for money.

Review 57:Elevator big enough for just one person.

Review 58:The best thing I can say is that you wont find a nicer staff that will go above and beyond for you. That is not a stretch, it is the honest truth.

Review 59:A bit tatty on the outside, some noise at night and you have to pay for parking on the street or car park, even for a motorbike, until 7pm.

Review 60:Excellent welcome and information given on arrival. Nice room.

Review 61:The hotel is situated in a very convenient and beautiful place just near the tram station at st Serge university. Many local attractions are at walking distance from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and readily available. Room is comfortable with flat TV and bathrooms fitted with hair dryers. Nice view. Excellent Service!

Review 62:1. Exterior of hotel is shabby, should be changed. 2. Because of old building floors are wood; gives next door neighbour noises.... 3. At Wednesday evening students make lot of noise in the main street.

Review 63:1. Nice and friendly personnel 2. Centrally situated in the City centre. 3. Nice newly furnished rooms with en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV etc. 4. Fresh and varied breakfast 5. Easy big parking next to the hotel for free from 20.00-09.00 hrs.

Review 64:Room was somewhat small but about what expected for price in French city. The room was very nice and attractively decorated, spotlessly clean. right on edge of the downtown area. and university campus. area, and much activity. Small lift for 1 and a suitcase. Evening receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

Review 65:Le Royalty, besides having great staff and a fine location in Angers hasa dumb waiter for luggage. That one feature would give this hotel arating of 10 out of 5 for this sort of "classic" hotel. Greatand particularly helpful staff.

Review 66:The hotel does not have its own parking, but just opposite the street there is a public parking, which is not expensive at all. WiFi internet is not very good.

Review 67:10 minutes walk from the center, clean, comfortable, polite and hospotable english speaking staff, good value for money.

Review 68:nothing in particular and generally the Hotel was very good value for money

Review 69:The hotel manger was extremely helpful Breakfast was sufficient and the quality v good

Review 70:Would have liked a kettle in the room. I missed my morning cup of tea.

Review 71:Spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was in a perfect location for the Levitation Fesitival we were attending. A short walk into the city and the venue.

Review 72:Welcoming and friendly staff, helpful and quick to suggest activities. Clean and well-appointed room. Angers is an attractive city and ideal centre to visit the Loire.

Review 73:Rien!

Review 74:The couple who own and run this hotel were so friendly, efficient and helpful. Because our French was practically non existent we would have missed out on a couple of excursions we really wanted to do. Claude, one of the owners, organised everything for us. A really lovely lady who showed us Aussies real French hospitality.

Review 75:Staff were very helpful. The location is very close to the tram, which is great for getting to and from the train station. It was quiet, even though on a main street.

Review 76:Walls were unbelievably thin and with a heavy snoring man on the otherside did it result in a night without much sleep. Didn't help thatthere was no warm water at all to take a shower.

Review 77:I love Anger

Review 78:The whole place needs a makeover. The paper was peelimg of the walls in the room, Mattress on the bed should have been replaced a long time ago The bathroom was clean, but had an ancient pink sink in it with a tiny shower cubicle. 'Desk' / dressing table was chipped formica, with two very basic wooden chairs.

Review 79:Staff very friendly.

Review 80:Tap in wash basin too strong and splashy . Needs adjusting. No coffee or tea facilities in room. Shower rather small. OK for short stays.

Review 81:good value for money

Review 82:The lift is very small, just big enough for one person and a case.

Review 83:A good location about 5 minutes walk to main area. Secure coveredparking about 100yds away, 5 Euroes a day. Very helpful staff, typicalFrench breakfast bread, cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurt, good value.

Review 84:Very helpful staff, answered all our questions, provided detailedinformation regarding various dining options in the city, walkingroutes, best things to see, etc. breakfast with more options then justcoffee and croissant. Good sound isolation in the rooms - with closedwindow no sound from the street.

Review 85:No air conditioning in bedroom - it was in public room. Room needing redesocrating & the shower leaked really bedly, flooding the floor each time it was used.

Review 86:Family room, fantastic welcome

Review 87:Very welcoming and helpful staff - we were greeted with a most welcome glass of cold water on a very hot day. Pleasant room, with everything we needed. Well placed for the city centre.

Review 88:Very hot room with a little air conditioning unit that made virtually nodifference. Breakfast was adequate but it would have been nice to havesome fresh milk and not uht rubbish. The hotel is very tired and needs aface lift, the lift will only fit 1 person at a time and the Wi Fi isnot usable - none of the passwords worked! The room was very small butthe bed was firm and comfortable. By the time you add all the taxes itwas not what you would call a cheap over night stay, but just aboutadequate. We would not stay again but would spend a bit more onsomewhere a bit more out of town.

Review 89:The staff were very friendly.

Review 90:Rooms are small but everything fits in ok

Review 91:Great value for money, friendly service, nice selection for breakfast, clean comfortable bright rooms, covered parking available
