Reviews for Hotel Le Progres
Review 1:The decoration was very outdated so felt very cold and run down.
Review 2:Internet was perfect, super fast! Bed was a great size. Staff were friendly and helpful and it is directly opposite the station.
Review 3:Location! Location! Location!!! It is just 3 minutes walk from the Angers Railway Station, and these's a nice parking structure with plenty of parking spots around the corner! Lots of good restaurants nearby. Staffs were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was actually bigger than what I thought because you know how small those hotels are in Paris!!! And I have to tell you, with this best location and size, it worths every single penny! Totally Valuable!!! If I ever visit Angers again, I would definitely go back!
Review 4:No fridge in the room. Room a bit cramped for space with 2 suitcases of medium size.
Review 5:The location is very convenient for rail transfers and the accommodation satisfactory for a short stay. We loved the friendly staff who were only too willing to offer assistance, including great restaurant recommendations.
Review 6:It's the first hotel we've stayed in where tea and coffee making facilities were not available in the room. You have to order them from downstairs and pay for them. We think it is a cost-saving message but it seems strangely unwelcoming
Review 7:We liked the central location and the bed. The room was also quiet. A nice touch is that you can also book bikes.
Review 8:Lack of air-con . Although windows did open and some breeze and shade helped cool the rooms ok
Review 9:Location opposite the station and in a respectable and safe area
Review 10:I would advise to install a glass wall or a shower curtain to separatethe tub just to safe the floor and maybe rebuild the steps near thefront door so that people could roll their luggage from the street.
Review 11:The hotel is easy to find and visible from the square in front of therailway station. The check-in/ check-out process and payment weresmooth. All the staff were very kind, gave the city map and explainedwhere to find the main attractions on their own initiative. Thebreakfast room is tastefully decorated and the choice of food is good,it is possible to order coffee, chocolate etc which will be preparedvery quickly. The room was large for two persons, the bedding was good. Our impressions from the hotel are absolutely positive.
Review 12:The room service started very early cleaning the rooms next door preventing a relaxed late sleep.
Review 13:It is a very basic hotel that does well what it promises. I did not see any A/C and there was no fridge or safe in the room, but this is not to be expected for the price/category.
Review 14:Location premium for St.Laud Angers Gare with welcoming staff and decent amenities.
Review 15:Location was good, price and amenities were ok.
Review 16:slow elevator
Review 17:convenient location as it is very close to railway station and walking distance to town centre with good restaurants and castle
Review 18:Cannot fault anything
Review 19:Really good location opposite the train station, the staff were so friendly and helpful, The whole place was spotless.
Review 20:Staff welcome. Good breakfast. Quiet rooms. Good bike garage.
Review 21:Great location, good value quiet and comfortable bed.
Review 22:central location, competent staff, very clean, good parking facilities, close to some very good restaurants
Review 23:Very friendly people at this hotel, excellent location of the hotel, everything was just perfect!
Review 24:A very basic hotel which doesn't merit 3-star rating.
Review 25:Nothing much, except its close proximity to the railway station which facilitates inter-cities travel in southern France.
Review 26:This attractive hotel is right across from the train station. It was clean and comfortable, and we slept extra well in the bed. The shower was hot and there was free-fast!-WiFi. The helpful staff allowed us to leave our bags after check out. There were bakeries just outside the hotel and a small grocery 5 minutes away, with the main attractions about 10 - 15 minutes walking distance. Great value hotel!
Review 27:Beds too soft. Chairs too hard. No place to relax sitting down.
Review 28:Friendly, helpful, cheerful staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location for city touring and dining.
Review 29:Nothing to dislike
Review 30:This was a truly excellent, value-for-money hotel, with friendly, helpful staff, and a clean, comfortable and spacious room. The location near the station (a surprisingly good location considering most railway station areas) was ideal for us and only about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the centre. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting clean and good value accommodation.
Review 31:Great service, great location. For business or vacation, if you don't want to go to the main brand, this is your place. The family touch is there and the service and location are great.
Review 32:No air con but that was stipulated and clearly communicated. We happen to be there on a 31 degree day
Review 33:Directly opposite the Angers station and easy to find. Staff were very helpful.
Review 34:we were told that the hotel had parking for a fixed daily price and that there was no need to book in advance. When we arrived we asked for the parking but were advised that we should have booked !!! There were no spaces available.
Review 35:great location, excellent breakfast and very helpful staff.
Review 36:The bathroom was old fashioned and a bit grubby round the edges. This did not feel up to your 3 star rating.
Review 37:The staff were friendly and helpfull and the beds were comfortable
Review 38:The equipment of the room, the mattress is very soft that we cannothave a very good sleep. And there is no water heater and other tea bagor coffee bag to supply, we cannot drink the hot water and make onecoffee or tea.
Review 39:Its situation, just in front of train station. And the receptionist isvery warm, they show us all the information even we will leave the hotel
Review 40:This is a typical three star hotel, but the people working here work hard at making your stay pleasant. We arrived wet having cycled for three hours in the rain. The young man on reception helped us with our bikes, gave us maps and directed us to the launderette, he even lent us his own umbrella. The couple managing the restaurant in the morning worked hard to ensure the buffet was replenished on the tables were cleared quickly. The rooms were bright and clean. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the main attractions.
Review 41:The receptionist was very helpful on arrival and pointed out places of interest in the city. The multi storey car park was very convenient just over the road. Breakfast was good.
Review 42:Toilet in a broom cupboard size room - a squeeze to get in and out of.
Review 43:We were allowed access to our room mid morning. It was at the back of the hotel and quite quiet. Hotel is very handy for the rail station. Very good value compared to other hotels in Angers.
Review 44:We are travelling by motorcycle and that day got drenched. On arrival at12:00 the room was ready for us! It had a bathtub which was greatlyappreciated. Everything was clean, the room quiet,. The purchase ofliquor from their bar very inexpensive so we tried Patis, excellent.Staff was very friendly offering us an umbrella, maps, etc.
Review 45:The locaion near the station is not a "good area" , there were a few"rough looking" people. But we felt quite safe to be walking out sidethere at night. Public Car park but had security cameras.
Review 46:Very good value, far better than average 2 star more like a 3 to 4 star!Good sized room Good buffet breakfast Pleasent decoration of all areasGood value cofiie & drinks Rapid service
Review 47:Wish they had mentioned the multi-storey car park over the road before Ispent €4.00 parking for two hours in a side street. How on earth can ahotel in the heart of Anjou not have any Rosé wine in their bar?????
