Reviews for Blesius Garten

Review 1:No tea, coffee making facilities. To get hot water seemed hard work. Room temp high had to find radiator valve behind cover. Naked men coming out of sauna into pool area. Breakfast time stated in room was incorrect for weekend by an hour, 07:30 instead of 06:30. Staff didn't seem friendly but may be due to language differnces.

Review 2:Nice Breakfast, comfortable beds, light airy room, swimming pool, internet very good

Review 3:only thing it was quite windy on our last night and there was a banging noise outside our window room 203i think it was lights or something

Review 4:lovely small hotel and great beer

Review 5:There is nothing that I dont like about Blesius Garten. The staff are really friendly, they assist me with my rather poor German, the food is brilliant, and they have their own brewery. Whats not to like.

Review 6:The swimming pool was quite cold.

Review 7:The place is very nicely located, surrounded by vineyards, with a rivulet nearby. It has its own brewery (the bier was very good). I liked the restaurant - nicely decorated, delicious food. Breakfest was also very nice, the chocolat spread was fantastic!

Review 8:We only wished that we could have lights by the side of our bed for reading. It was awkward to have to turn all of the lights off with one switch for the entire room.

Review 9:The manager at the reception desk was very helpful, efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our room. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant decor was nice and the food was delicious!

Review 10:Nothing really (maybe the sauna only available from 4pm)...

Review 11:Friendly and smiling staff, good amenities, excellent cleanliness, excellent overall comfort (good beds), excellent breakfast, value for money !

Review 12:We had room over beer garden so was noisy at night so could not open window

Review 13:Staff very friendly and helpful, spoke excellent English. Hotel located right next to bus stop to get in and out of Trier but did not suffer from any road noise. Breakfast very good with wide choice

Review 14:Hotel is located a little out of Trier, in a quiet residential area, so need to get a bus or taxi into town, a little far to walk at night. No hot drinks served after approx 9.15pm even to residents???

Review 15:Lovely spacious room with a large shared sun terrace. Safe in the room. Very good German restaurant, with some English speaking staff. Popular with the locals. Hotel staff very helpful and English speakers. Breakfast including hot choices was outstanding.

Review 16:Good location for exploring the area. The staff are very helpful and the hotel offers a good choice of food, ranging from simple burgers to fantastic gourmet fayre.

Review 17:The shower in the bathroom was awkward. Otherwise it was great.

Review 18:The staff was very helpful, actually excellent. The room was pleasant, and beds very comfortable. The dining room was friendly and accessible, with good food.

Review 19:The location, in a greener setting, with close by and regularly scheduled bus transportation made access to the center of town, made the hotel's location very good. We definitely appreciated the three-day bus pass - a great value which simplified getting around the city and its surrounds. The room was very comfortable, the best of five we stayed in on this trip. The restaurants both were very good - the quality of the food was excellent; however, the service was not up to the same standard as the food. Service at breakfast and the quality of the breakfast buffet were both outstanding.

Review 20:Everything - Room excellent as were facilities and breakfast. Nice 25 minute walk from city centre but buses available. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking.

Review 21:A little more choice on the Bar menu would have been good-it felt a bit restrictive.

Review 22:Very comfortable, good parking, helpful staff. Arrived too late to explore Trier so ate at Hotel.

Review 23:Service in bar and restaurant was excellent. Food and beers were great. We liked being out of town, and it was easy to get to in the car, easy to park and easy to walk/bus into town.

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:Hotel was just out of town, bus ran by entrance so it was easy to get to town (3 euro each way). Facilities of hotel were really good, we had the swimming pool to ourselves, ideal after a long drive. The hotel restaurant was very busy, full of local people, so advisable to book ahead.

Review 26:Nice comfortable spacious room. The only drawback was the limited wardrobe space. Indoor pool ,although small, was well equipped and next to a sauna. Food in the Brewery restaurant was wholesome but somewhat a case of style over substance. Good location only 30 minutes walk to the centre of Trier and 10 minutes to the Roman amphitheatre.

Review 27:The only thing that I could complain about was the menu, There was nothing in English, when we asked if they had an English menu the answer was NO!. In the rooms the folder about the Hotel and its amenities was in English.

Review 28:The hotel was in a very nice area. It was clean and rooms were excellent.

Review 29:We had a bedroom over the kitchen, the weather was hot which made it a very uncomfortable night. There is no air conditioning and no fan was provided.

Review 30:Characterful hotel with comfortable rooms. Food was great.

Review 31:It is located by the amphitheater - a good 20 minute walk into the town center.

Review 32:It had a great beer garden and a micro brewery on site. The breakfast was awesome!

Review 33:If you have a car, this is an excellent place to stay. You are not in the hubbub of Trier, but only a 5 minute drive away. The location is calm and serene.

Review 34:A corner bath was awkward to move around in for showering.

Review 35:The size of the room onto the terrace. Having a swimming pool & sauna. The micro brewery.

Review 36:Our first night we had dinner in the hotel and thought it was expensive for what we got. The next night we stayed in town and then got a bus back.

Review 37:Good bike storage. Slightly out of town so less city-like setting. We walked to town on our rest day to see all the Roman sites.

Review 38:The bed was too short and our room (superior comfort room) was too close to the main road. The noise from passing cars made sleeping with an open window difficult.

Review 39:The location - you can walk to the city center in 30 minutes. Also the food and atmosphere in the Biergarten. Friendly, helpful staff.

Review 40:I asked for a quiet room and the room I got was out to the front to the street. I was not very quiet early in the morning as all the deliveries, etc. arrived then and were right outside our window

Review 41:Nice food at the Wirtshaus, good beer

Review 42:Nothing.

Review 43:this hotel, which is a comfortable walk (30 minutes) from the porta negra, is at the top of a vineyard, on a side street located in a residental area. The rooms were fabulous, large, and quite. we were on the third floor overlooking the bier garden. The windows were easy to open and allowed for good air movement. The bier garten was good. the beer was great, and the food was amazing! Then if that were not enough, we reserved a table indoors and enjoyed by far, the best meal that I have had thus far in four trips to germany. Chateau Briand...Amazing!!!

Review 44:Dat er buiten gerookt wordt. Een tip voor het hotel. Het terras is groot genoeg om rokers van niet rokers te scheiden. Het viel ons op dat er bijzonder veel sportieve gasten aanwezig waren.

Review 45:Het ontbijt is excellent.

Review 46:Position slightly out of town centre, but well connected with bus services.

Review 47:Swimming pool/sauna/infrared cabin included in room price. Big and varied breakfast with many different options. Staff very helpful.

Review 48:The restaurant and bar of the hotel only had the menu - drink list in German so we didn't feel very welcome there although some of the staff tryed to assist with their limited english knowledge.

Review 49:The hotel is a very nice old style building and was comfortable.

Review 50:WiFi was non-existent! Terrible connection. Nothing fancy about the rooms, but clean and functional.

Review 51:Nice getaway in neighborhood above Roman Ampitheater ruins. Great free parking if you are traveling by car. Generous full breakfast buffet, friendly youthful staff. Good restaurant microbrewery onsite.

Review 52:Nothing to complain about. We would love to be back for longer!

Review 53:Lovely property with a lot of character. Very friendly staff and willing to go the extra way. We are vegetarians and the staff was extremely flexible to even translate the German menu into English

Review 54:A great hotel; friendly staff, tasty local food in the restaurant. Clean and cosy. Easy to find, accessible by public transport (bus 81). Отличный отель. Дружелюбный персонал. Хороший ресторан местной кухни. Комнаты чистые и уютные. До центра города можно доехать на автобусе (81). Нам все очень понравилось. Рекомендуем.

Review 55:Comfortable, clean and excellent value. Helpful staff. Very good restaurant. Easy, free parking. Free WiFi. Easy, regular bus into Trier right outside hotel. Decor of the rooms.Breakfast selection was excellent with something for everyone.

Review 56:Nothing!

Review 57:Comfortable, clean and excellent value. Lovely, helpful staff. Very popular German brauhaus restaurant. Easy, free parking. Free WiFi. Nice swimming pool. Easy, regular bus into Trier right outside hotel.

Review 58:very poor service in the traditional restaurant, food was quite awful too. in the morning very busy at the breakfast room,we had to ask for the table to be cleaned for us and serving coffies has taken a long time( by unpleasant waitress) All hotel smels of beer brewing

Review 59:decor of the rooms, swimming pool

Review 60:food choice a bit limited (very strict separation between restaurant & Bierstube....which doesn't make sense, they are adjacent), sauna area very little and a bit neglected: it was crowded in there and had only one shower - no rest area within sauna...overall not what I expected when they said 'wellness & spa' area

Review 61:selection of craft beer, friendliness of staff, aid in planning ahead from hotel (they call us to set up massages, table reservation etc.)

Review 62:The staff, the breakfast, the room, the Restaurant and Brauerei - well, everything really. They were decorating on the floor of our room and, when I said I didn't like the smell of the paint they changed our room immediately.

Review 63:Breakfast was charged extra.

Review 64:Friendly staff, quiet rooms and a nice 20 min walk through allotment to the city centre. And free parking plus a bus stop outside the hotel for those who don't want to walk.

Review 65:Location was kind of remote luckily we had a car to get around!

Review 66:The room was very comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful! The food was excellent! I would stay there again gladly!!

Review 67:Rated facilities as poor because the WiFi didn't work in the rooms and it hadn't been working for a number of days. They wouldn't give any rate reduction. They emailed us before we arrived but didn't tell us it wasn't working. Would have cancelled the booking if I'd known. Very unhappy about it.

Review 68:Breakfast selection was excellent with something for everyone. Hotel has a lift which worked. Free parking. Clever shower door maximised space in bathroom. Extra place to sit in room. Two power points on each side of bed.

Review 69:Main hotel access to Reception is rather hidden. It's best to turn left immediately inside the gate and then drive clockwise from above) round the main block. Otherwise it's quite a trek with baggage.

Review 70:Tomtom finds hotel easily. Room was very pleasant Free parking, lift. Desk staff very helpful Easy bus access to Trier, but return journey may be to different place. Breakfasts good. Two restaurants a. In the brewery is simple German food but well cooked. b. International cooking and surprisingly good.

Review 71:Rebuilding which no one informed us about! Obviously they hade informed other guests but not us! Why? Because we booked through Booking.com?? I would appreciate to be compensated for this.

Review 72:Nothing to dislike

Review 73:Excellent hotel. We had a large, spacious room which was extremely comfortable and very well furnished. Staff very helpful East taxi ride or bus into town, which was about 20 minutes walk away. Food in both restaurants extremely good.

Review 74:I hope the shower room were more wide, but no difference from European standard actually.

Review 75:Second time to stay. Dinner was fabulous. Breakfast was great as well. Starting time of breakfast was 6:30 AM which makes us easier to make a schedule.

Review 76:other hotels in the city offer equal facilities at a lower price in a more convenient location. although breakfast was good 6.30 was the stated time and even at 7.00 some things were not ready.a minor point but if you are on a tight schedule. the bathroom shower was of the wet room principle with the shower doors pulled out to give sufficient space to shower, requiring folding back in to use the wc.

Review 77:rural location and very friendly staff. good breakfast. room was clean and tidy and a reasonable size.

Review 78:- The lack of ac in the room- Not many places where you could sit out in the evening. There was almost only the restaurang area.

Review 79:- The big and delicious breakfast- The pool area where you could take a refreshing bath after a hot day in the summer.

Review 80:nothing

Review 81:The staff could not be more helpful, when it was raining they even offered us an umbrella, the facilities were great and the bus service was right outside

Review 82:Excellent hotel! Very nice restaurants inside ! We will definately come back for a longer stay !

Review 83:Very comfortable rooms and good food in the restaurant. Free parking and easy access to all the sights of this lovely city.

Review 84:Lovely hotel friendly staff all good .

Review 99:Good location, convenient local bus service, good food.

Review 100:Limited parking, reservation of dinner necessary

Review 101:Good location, interesting place - possibility to test local wine and special bier

Review 102:The friendly staff, the excellent food and the hotel brewed beer is worth the trip by itself

Review 103:A great nature nearby and peaceful and comfortable hotel room.

Review 104:Everything

Review 105:Wifi connection slow or not stable

Review 106:the swimming pool (even if small, that's nice to have one in the hotel) calm location comfort of the bed

Review 107:very comfortable and friendly helpful staff. Excellent bus service into town. Bus stop close by. Hotel provided timetable.

Review 112:The food and service was excellent

Review 113:Upper rooms got warm.Minor issue though.

Review 114:Excellent breakfast.Staff forgave my awful German.Loved the BBQ.

Review 115:Extreme little sunshine due the overwelming many trees.

Review 116:It is quite a bit outside the city, not great if you don't have a car. The room was a bit warm and there is no fan to get the air moving.

Review 117:We only stayed one night, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfy.

Review 118:Some of our devices unable to connect to WIFI in bedroom.

Review 119:Clean and freshly decorated bedroom. Great food in restaurant. Own beer very good. Staff helpful and attentive.

Review 120:It would have been nice to have had patio heaters to have enjoyed the garden later. Menu was not as traditional as we would have liked.

Review 121:The room was lovely. The price of the food and drinks were reasonable. My partner enjoyed the speciality beer.

Review 122:Nothing, only we didn't stay long enough.

Review 123:Blesius Gartens was fantastic, the room was roomy and extremely clean. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was great. Dominic? in the restaurant was so helpful. We loved the microbrewery beer it was an added bonus. Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Germany.

The Fine Print

Please note that some rooms are not accessible by lift. Please note that the price for an extra bed does not include breakfast. Extra beds are only available in the larger rooms and are subject to availability.Due to the popularity of the conservatory restaurant serving French/German cuisine and the brewery lounge serving traditional dishes, the hotel recommends you reserve a table in advance.Breakfast buffet is served between 6:30 to 10:30 during the week and from 7:30 to 11:00 on weekends and public holidays.
