Reviews for Hotel Aulmann
Review 1:Wish there were refrigerator and water kettle in the room, also had to deal with some stairs to get to our room (with luggage and stroller), breakfast was ok but not excellent (needs more warm dishes)
Review 2:Location was excellent. Fair price, clean room
Review 3:N/A
Review 4:What an excellent smart boutique hotel, great friendly staff, very clean rooms and restaurant, walk out the front door turn right and you are in the middle of great shopping, restaurants, wine house's that this wonderful city has on offer. A highly recommendended property.
Review 5:It indicated that it was a non smoking room, but i could tell that people smoke inside the room as I am very sensitive to it. My eyes water and I get very congested when in a small room where people smoke. Once i am outside my head clears up with the fresh air.
Review 6:location. It was a convenient to get around the old city and see the sights.
Review 7:Very good location on the pedestrian area. The room was quiet although close to the reception and very clean. The travel cot for the baby was kindly provided. Breakfast was good value.
Review 8:Conveniently placed on the edge of the pedestrian area, its perfect for exploring the city centre. The ability to book a place in the underground car park makes it a great stop off when travelling in Europe.
Review 9:Hotel entrance difficult to find when travelling by car. More information should be available on the web site as to how to get entrance to the car park and the height limitations on the majority of parking bays.
Review 10:Location very close to the centre
Review 11:Free wifi did not work. They tried restarting the router for us but made no difference. Very difficult to find hotel as in a pedestrian zone. No room in car park so had to park in a public one. Very noisy early in the morning with lorries making deliveries.
Review 12:Central location, clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Roman sites and local restaurants
Review 13:Hotel car park was full. Recommend booking ahead. No A/C and area was noisy.
Review 14:Loved location and staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good and good value.
Review 15:Very difficult to find because entrance is NOT at the given address, but around the corner on a pedestrian street. Lot of noise, people talking loudly, laughing, etc. throughout the night. OK with windows closed.
Review 16:Central location in a pedestrian area, just a few blocks from the Porta Nigra, clean and comfortable, helpful staff.
Review 17:The unusual setup, having to go upstairs to go downstairs to my room with rather heavy luggage. The unusual German pillows take a lot of getting used to. Living right above a noisy street is not appreciated.
Review 18:The hotel is centrally located, close to the old city centre.
Review 19:Wifi was pretty ordinary, and parking is a few blocks away, although you can park outside briefly to unload.
Review 20:Reception staff very friendly and helpful, lovely rooms, right in the heart of town, very good breakfast.
Review 21:very hot in the room at midnight, no air con, we open the window to keep the temperature comfortable. 迷信的中国朋友请注意,房间风水不好,床正对大门,总觉得特别不舒服。
Review 22:location! supermarket and a bar just downstairs, Karl Marx's house three mins to go. clean. convenience to park after you make a resevation. quite.( our room is not face to the street)
Review 23:Great location for those travelling by car -- the hotel has its own underground parking facility and yet is located right in the heart of the old town, and therefore very comfortable for both sightseeing and shopping in the vast pedestrians only zone.
Review 24:At 6 a.m. a truck came and they started to make a lot of noise, because they were delivering things to Rossmann shop which is on the ground floor.
Review 25:Very good and cheap breakfast, wide variety of food and drinks. Location in the city center. 15-minute walk to ERA.
Review 26:I think a kettle in a room would be a good idea, as there is no restaurant at the hotel as such. That is, apart from breakfast buffet (which is ok, nothing fancy, but then it's also quite cheap) and a kartoffel restaurant nearby - Kiste, which, btw, is really nice.
Review 27:Great location, in the very town centre and just next to the bus stop which can take you to more distant places. Our room was quite spacious, the same as bathroom, and it was also very quiet, so altogether it was a very pleasant stay. In general - good value for money, as Trier turns out to be rather expensive when you try to find accommodation.
Review 28:Isolation between the rooms on the 3rd and the 2nd floor could be better. Rather difficult access to parking places.
Review 29:Location next to the center, no need to take the car. parking availability. Size of the room.
Review 30:distant room on the end of corridor 2 floors downstairs without elevator, bad view from the window, extra 10 euro for parking.
Review 31:Location, clean room, very good breakfast.
Review 32:BUTThere are service vehicles right outside the windows throughout the late night and early morning hours - and chaos rules!! There were crates being dragged across cobblestones and all kinds of other loud, irritating noises. And then there were the garbage trucks and other service vehicles! It was so noisy I barely slept and when I did, would be abruptly awakened by more loud noises and yelling right outside my window. Not very pleasant. I left this hotel totally exhausted from lack of sleep after several nights. The wifi is terrible and almost non-existent much of the time. I booked this hotel because the ad said high speed wifi is included. That is not correct information because wifi was either non-existent, or intermittent and very slow; it often didn't work at all and when it did, I had to log in every few minutes because I'd be booted off, even when I changed rooms to be closer to a router. My other reason for booking was because the ad says there is a lift. What it fails to mention is that the lift doesn't go to some of the rooms. I had help on the way to the room - but then had 26 stairs to climb to get my heavy luggage to the floor with the lift when I was leaving. I have back problems and never book a hotel anywhere without a lift. The hotel ad needs to let people know that they may not have a room with lift access. The evening before departing, I asked if it would be possible to get assistance with luggage in the morning and was told NO.Because of terrible wifi and no lift to some floors, along with all the crazy late night/early morning street noise, I would not book this hotel again. Pity, because it's a very nice hotel in a great location otherwise. Most of the staff were nice. One of the girls cleaning the rooms noticed me struggling with luggage and ran to help with the last few steps. I thought that was very nice!
Review 33:This is a very nice, clean and modern hotel in a great location.
Review 34:Road outside a bit noisy while deliveries and bin trucks were around
Review 35:Location was perfect for us to visit the wonderful Christmas market. Love Trier and will definitely return to this hotel
Review 36:Noisy Bar across street from our room. I had to close window to sleep. Closing window made room hot. Next morning, the music in the breakfast room was the same Michael Bolton song playing over and over again. What the hell was that about?
Review 37:Modern and clean Hotel with covered parking. Wifi was strong.
Review 38:The shower head holder had been broken previously and so it did not stay up very well. Any slight bump and it would come loose so I had to shower holding the shower head in my hand.
Review 39:The room I stayed in was very clean. Also I really liked the central location. The price was the best offer available that weekend and it was well worth the price. I spent most of the time out in the city, so I did most use most of the other amenities. I also like the safe where I could lock up valuables.
Review 40:-I have stayed here 4 times and WiFi has always had "issues" -Shower head nozzle saggy and water pressure weak and swung between hot and cold -I could not dial room to room. Front desk said it wasn't possible even though instruction sheet next to phone said it was.
Review 41:-Super clean! -Phenomenal location on pedestrian zone
Review 42:The room smelled like cookies, not really in a nice way. The temperature was very hot from when you enter the reception to the hotelroom.
Review 43:We liked the beds and the breakfast was good. This location is in the centre which we really loved!
Review 44:Hotel was in an IDEAL location. Staff was very helpful. We showed up without reserving parking but they had a space for us. It was 7 Euro I think but we had it there for about 24 hours - slightly longer than checkout time which was helpful. Hotel was beautiful and you step right out into the Old Town area. We split the room between 3 people but given the location I feel like it's a very good deal for a quality, comfortable hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and worth the 5 Euro.
Review 45:Rooms on the pedestrian street side were noisy and because there is no air con in the summer one needs a window open. Parking reasonable but challenging. Lift parking means that cars such as 4x4 only have 3 available normal slots and proximity to vehicles entering/exiting lift make the possibility of damage highly likely.
Review 46:Central location. Excellent breakfast.
Review 47:Poor wifi connection Very noisy Found Trier hotels to be expensive - we felt we paid over the odds for what we had
Review 48:Lovely large room Nice bathroom with good shower Good breakfast Friendly helpful staff Fairly central location
Review 49:Trage wifi

Review 54:WiFi was spotty
Review 55:Location and friendliness of staff
Review 56:nothing
Review 57:Good location & staff
Review 58:Parking was a problem . Breakfast was good.
Review 59:Location was very convenient to old town. Rooms were modern and spacious.
Review 60:There is no air-condition, it's hard during the hot summer.
Review 61:The location is great
Review 62:Bed - Sheets were too small for a tall person
Review 63:Ligging
Review 64:Location, breakfast, convenient
Review 65:no a\c
Review 66:location, very clean,wi-fi

Review 73:Location, breakfast, staff.
Review 74:bed pillow too large
Review 75:friendly staff and very clean rooms
Review 76:Poor breakfast, acces to room difficult, poor wi-fi,
Review 77:Position en ville
Review 78:Tv too small not enough choice of programs in English or french, wifi didn't work in room.
Review 79:Very near Christmas market
Review 80:Only combo hair/body gel pump
Review 81:Very friendly staff, spacious room
Review 82:Nothing at all
Review 83:everything from the central location to the modern comfort of the big rooms.
Review 84:But the massive problem I had was that I did not have wi fi signal in my room.
Review 85:The location is perfect. And is also good value for the money.
Review 86:Good location, within easy walking distance of everything, but still nice and quiet. Clean, comfortable room with friendly and helpful staff.
Review 87:The sofa bed was not very comfortable and my nine-year-old son ended up sleeping on the floor in preference.
Review 88:Its hot in the room..
Review 89:The location
Review 90:Nothing.
Review 91:Close to all city centre attractions. Secure parking below.
Review 92:Nothing
Review 93:The location is close to the city center. Staff were friendly and helpful. The underground car park was a bonus.
Review 94:View
Review 95:Staff Location
Review 96:No air conditioning, and it was the hottest days of the year (+95F). The street noise was a bit loud with the windows open.
Review 97:The hotel had good, friendly service. It also was immaculately clean and comfortable.
Review 98:Limited parking on site, needed pre-reservation (+fee). Public parkhouse nearby is very pricey. Only other option is curbside parking (again fees) in extrely narrow, crowded streets.
Review 99:Fantastic location in the heart of city next to pedestrian area. Hotel decor very inviting and comfortable. friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Review 100:There's no elevator facility for some of the rooms and this isn't listed in the specification on booking.com. Breakfast very basic and not as described on booking.com. Although I have rated the staff as poor, this is only in relation to one staff member. She checked us in on 18 April and was quite impatient with our questions. However, when she checked us out a few days later, she was extremely rude, even raising her voice to us. We were completely taken aback and it put a dampener on the end of our trip to Trier. All of the other staff members were very nice and helpful. She let the hotel down.
Review 101:Great location - very central - 5 mins walk to main square. Secure underground car parking. Lovely triple room.
Review 102:Nothing really bad, a minor thing with the too soft bed and pillows (at least to our taste), and wifi was a little hectic though it was included in the room price.
Review 103:Very close to city center, helpful and nice staff, good breakfast. Parking possible underneath the hotel.
Review 104:My only complaint is that there was a slight odor in the room. We left the windows open and that cleared it up for the most part.
Review 105:The location was awesome and the staff was very accommodating.
Review 106:Very friendly helpful staff, pleasant breakfast room and good breakfast, warm, clean bedroom and bathroom. Very convenient location in pedestrianised area near most of the major sights.
Review 107:although very clean, the room was quit small the printer at the reception was not working properly and therefore I was unable to print my boarding pass there.
Review 108:A nice hotel right in the heart of trier. Very clean room.
Review 109:Rooms with windows on the pedestrian street are sometimes noisy at night.
Review 110:Nice, new, clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Safe parking at hotel. Staff very friendly. Location excellent for the city sites.
Review 111:-Shower temperature fluctuated constantly every morning -WiFi didn't work properly on 3rd floor, and 2 different staff did nothing to try and fix it. That is UNACCEPTABLE! They should ALWAYS have people on call to fix plumbing, electrical, and internet issues etc.
Review 112:-Excellent Breakfast buffet -Clean, comfortable beds and rooms
Review 113:In pedestrianised area, so satnav cannot get you there. Garage at rear is accessible but on different street.
Review 114:Adequate small hotel right in city centre.
Review 115:It was not clear that the breakfast was an additional charge.
Review 116:The reception staff upon arrival was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable and close to sites we wanted to see. Although there was no evening meal service, the staff was ready to recommend places to eat.
Review 117:The room was very clean and warm. The bed was confortable to sleep. I'm veryhappy the hotel. The people there were very polite and helpful. Next time I'd stay again there.
Review 118:It is noisy there are delivery truck driving to the nearby stores , I could not sleep the whole night. However if you are a sound sleeper than maybe you will have no problem.
Review 119:Nice location very nice staff well ogranised and excellent value for money.
Review 120:Gap one side of the bed was rather narrow making one walk at an angle.
Review 121:Friendly and helpful staff communicated in both German and English.Central location but quiet.
Review 122:The room was excellent, the breakfast was also excellent. Its location is perfect for getting around the old town and the Schloss while being able to easily connect with the rest of Heidelberg. Staff very helpful with storage of bags and taxis, as well as information about our stay.
Review 123:They do not have air conditioning and we always seem to stay when it is over 30 degrees. The rooms can be hot at night. If your room faces the adjacent bar when the football is on it can be a little noisy with the windows open.
Review 124:Despite being on the edge of the pedestrian zone in the city centre, they offer car parking in a secure underground car park, and easy access from the autobahn. The hotel is within minutes on foot to shops, restaurants and the historic sites of Trier. We stay here once or twice a year as we like to hotel and the city which is a great gateway to souther Germany.
Review 125:It is warm in the lobby area, no air conditioning, and it can be quite loud early in the morning if you are on the street side, but this is because of it's excellent location in the city.
Review 126:This was our second trip to Trier, and we chose to stay at the Aulmann again. The location is excellent, the hotel is spotless, breakfast is wonderful, the staff friendly, and the beds are very comfortable. Because of events in Trier at the time of our trip, the Aulmann was not available for our entire trip, but we chose to spend as much time as we could at the Aulmann.
Review 127:The entrance of both the hotel and the parking garage are not always easy to find (of the hotel in an alleyway, of the garage on the other side of the block). The garage has a parking LIFT so not always suitable for motorcycles or large / high cars. The reception is located on the 2nd floor (accessible by elevator) and from there it can be a long walk up and down staircases to your room, depending which room you have. But all this is not really negative, just for your general information.
Review 128:Located at the end of one of the 2 shopping streets leading to the central market, the location is quite in the centre of the city and close to everything (shops, restaurants, centre, churches). The underground parking however is accesible from another street and not always easy to find. The rooms are adequate in size, very clean but not much of a view unless you like rooftops. The bathroom however was quite large and comfortable. Good breakfast buffet, very friendly staff. Not expensive if you count all that. Wifi is not for free, nor is breakfast included in the room price, nor is parking free but still good value for money ! For a special ROMAN style (food) dinner I recommend restaurant Zum Domstein at the central market.
Review 129:The tv didn't work, we were unable to get onto the Internet. When we called the service, they told us we would have to wait till Morning
Review 130:Breakfast
Review 131:No air conditioning
Review 132:The Staff, the location, garage parking for the Harley Davidson
Review 133:The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was really good, a good variety of food and the price was very reasonable.
Review 134:Reserved parking in advance, but was unable to park in garage.
Review 135:Breakfast was excellent.
Review 136:Very clean German middleclass Hotel with friendly stuff and nice breakfast - centrally located;
