Reviews for Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden

Review 1:Room rather small, specially the bathroom.

Review 2:Entrance to lobby from outside public parking (on parallel street opposite of main entrance). Equipments. Free WiFi. Smoking room available. Very attractive price.

Review 3:Cost of parking and cost of breakfast. 24 euros per night is too steep. Also breakfast, 24 euros per person per day is a bit too much.

Review 4:Hotel itself, accommodation.

Review 5:Bathrooms are nice, but seem somewhat dated. The bathroom does not match the moderness of the propeety. Parking should be free for guest. The price of rooms with a single king size bed should be less than the price of the same room with two double beds; it cost more money and time to change two beds, than it does one.

Review 6:Size of room and indoor smoking lounge.

Review 7:The fitness center is small, and the spa facilities are not open until 8am.

Review 8:I have used this hotel for 14 years, and it never fails to please. The breakfast is outstanding, in a country where hotel breakfasts are excellent. The staff is always helpful and cheerful.

Review 9:The gym could be a bit better equipped but other than that this is the place to stay when visiting Wiesbaden.

Review 10:Well managed hotel in a prime location in Wiesbaden. Staff are pleasant, nice and don't mind to take care of any extra demands. This has been our fifth or sixth stay, we love to come back.

Review 11:Staff offhand. No shower cap, shampoo, soap etc in bathroom. Only one bathrobe supplied. Towels threadbare. No bathmat. Unbelievable for a 5 star hotel.

Review 12:Nothing. Could not recommend it to anyone.

Review 13:1. WiFi connection is slow and unstable, which is not acceptable for a modern business hotel in my opinion. 2. Something is wrong with the ventilation system, it cannot control the room temperature as supposed to and I have serious doubts if they cleaned up the filters and the whole ventilation system after the hotel construction.

Review 14:Good large hotel, has everything that I expected.

Review 15:Breakfast is overvalued and the hotel is far quit bit from the downtown

Review 16:The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable and the staff are helpful and the location is close to the train station

Review 17:Breakfast additional cost at 24€ per Person a bit expensive

Review 18:Very kind and flexible Staff. We asked for a late check-out which became a very late check-out and that was not too much of a problem.

Review 19:The quality / price ratio for dinner was poor. The food was not worthy Dorint Hotel. This do you expect from such a hotel.

Review 20:Rooms were spacious. We were with 2 grown ups en 2 little children. The breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and service oriented.

Review 21:Food was bad. Room service is the worse I have seen. I wasn't impressed at all. I think this hotel is overpriced for the service and value one gets

Review 22:Location is the only positive. Less than five minutes walk to the train station

Review 23:The area near the hotel is somewhat devoid of restaurants, but it's a fairly easy walk to town.

Review 24:Nice and clean. We selected the Pallas Dorint for an easy place to spend a few relaxing days before returning home from a long European trip. Access to the local thermal baths and Rhine River cruises with convenient train connections to the Frankfort Airport made this a great choice.

Review 25:Very short bath tub, non availability of iron or ironing board

Review 26:Very comfortable rooms, plenty of cupboard space, cleanliness, tea / coffe station with excellent cocoa, windows that open, good air conditioner, close to main railway station, quick and free wi-fi

Review 27:the bed is not comfortable and the blanket is small the door of the bathroom do not have a lock if you have children it is a problem the door ofthe room don't have a chain which allows the children to go outside

Review 28:Most equipment in the spa was out of order, which is not acceptable for a hotel of this level.

Review 29:Room size, Wi-Fi, location close to the station, in front of a park.

Review 30:I requested a park view room, unfortunatly it my request was not granted

Review 31:This is the second time to visit the same hotel. Its location and atmosphere are remarkable

Review 32:The bed is far too soft. The hotel itself and the facilities are a good stard 3* rather than 5* because there were no range of toiletries, no body lotion. Shampoo/shower gel were all in one. The short facility swerve basic.

Review 33:The hotel is advertised as medium but it was very large. More suited to business meetings and conferences rather than short trips leisure stays.

Review 34:one of the reception staff in the mornng was really disobligent... my question was to double check again about my breakfast which was well included into the paid rate, she said no... and after rechecking i was right, she did not dare saying sorry or whatever...

Review 35:Parking fee for garage (24EUR) a little high

Review 36:I needed to be in Frankfurt area, and Wiesbaden is good choice to avoid the costs and crowds of the city itself. Hotel is modern, in good condition, and very close to Hauptbanhhof.

Review 37:Some junior rstaurant staff at breakfast room not professional, restaurant limited choice of food, quality at best average.

Review 38:Location, front desk quite efficeint.

Review 39:The hotel is rated as a 5 star property but lacks all the basic features you would expect from a 5 star hotel. i.e. No water in the Gym or anywhere in the hotel for that matter. You have to purchase all water in the hotel and it is expensive. (7.50 eu) for a small bottle at the bar or mini bar prices in the room. The rooms are very basic. No toiletries other than the "all in one"refillable bottle attached to the shower wall. Bed/pillows were very basic and uncomfortable. Hotel restaurant (for dinner) is definitely not what you would expect in a 5 star hotel. The staff was very nice but the food was mediocre. I travel all over the world and only stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. I would rate this hotel a 3 star. I am sure if you could afford to stay in the JFK suite you would have a much better experience. I did get to see that room and it is beautiful! With a pretty price tag to match!

Review 40:The location is great. Within easy walking distance to the train station and city center. The hotel lobby bar is nice. A great place for an afternoon coffee or evening drink. The young staff (in training) were very nice and helpful.

Review 41:Hotel seemed a little cold. Vast lobby clearly designed for the business traveler. We would have preferred some thing closer to town

Review 42:The hotel was nice. The facility and staff were great

Review 43:Nothing not to like.

Review 44:My first port of call in Wiesbaden. There is nothing not to like, the outside area and bar are fantastic in the summer. The rooms are large clean and well equipped. The food is excellent (by hotel standards) it makes a business trip enjoyable

Review 45:There is noting I did not like, except that for part of my stay the price went up very high (I guess the occupancy rate on those dates were high), expensive hotel considering it is not in a major city.

Review 46:The room and the furniture is designed very functionally, lots of storage space. Very close to train station and shopping. The room gets plenty of day light.

Review 47:Business hotel with prices reflecting that - 24€ for breakfast, and no, no golden plates. It is about making money and not about making you feel welcome; so not a friendly reception but a matter of fact approach, which some might prefere and others dislike. Room with a view they said: hmm. A grey wall doesnt qualify.

Review 48:Good beds; Check-out

Review 49:Problems with wifi Housekeeping can be improved e.g replacement of tea and coffee

Review 50:Bed & bedding air conditioning Quiet environment & comfortable

Review 51:Firstly I only had one request which was for a quiet room but I given one facing the main road. When I got out of the lift on the 6th Floor all the carpet was held together by grey duct tape. I had to work from my room one day and asked housekeeping for another sachet of coffee which was refused because I had already had two, so I am paying Euro 200 per night but could not get a third sachet of coffee. The curtains in my room had many pin holes that the sun light shone through. The air conditioning rattled and could not be used at night due to the noise, the gym does not open until 8.00am making it impossible to use before heading off to work. One of the 2 lifts was out of order for the entire 5 days that I was there. Other issues which I raised were just greeted with a shrug of the shoulders at reception, they gave the impression that they just did not care. The Dorint just appears to be in cost saving mode at the expense of the customers.

Review 52:I have stayed a few times at the Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden due to its convenient location to the city and ease of parking. However after this latest visit it is clear that standards have declined.

Review 53:The Hotel is not far from Wiesbaden center (15 min walking) and is near the Autobahn access making it a good "HQ" for tours in this region. Facilities are very good.

Review 54:Can feel a bit sterile and its a 1Km walk to the centre Meals and drinks can be expensive. If on a budget have breakfast elsewhere unless you get it included.

Review 55:A good place to "recover" after a long flight. Rates are generally reasonable and I would say is good value if you can get a breakfast deal. Good facilities Food & Beverages are preety good as well Perfect for arrival by train

Review 56:stayed on 5th Floor - lifts were not working correctly. I suppose it was good excersise but a waste of time waiting for lifts

Review 57:cleanliness breakfast ease of free parking in the area

Review 58:Horrible bed with Styrofoam mattresses and pillows made of foam A/C was not working first night Staff did no bother to clean up dirty dishes and pick up towels during the day. No iron/board in the room

Review 59:Location Strawberries upon arrival Breakfast buffet

Review 60:Wifi connection not so good.

Review 68:The pillows are not very comfortable.

Review 69:I've been staying in this hotel since 2008, the best hotel in Wiesbaden.

Review 86:Room Service added unordered items to breakfast order. TV did not work for more than 24h. Restaurant has no atmosphere.

Review 125:Reception staff were too abrupt.

Review 126:Good food good restaurant staff House keeping were great in finding solution for our son's second bed

Review 127:every thing

Review 128:We got the feeling that we were out of place because of all the business people its not a holiday hotel

Review 129:good comfortable room, good soundproof window and air-condition, coffee/tea maker in the room, very friendly and professional reception staff. Close to rail station and centre, but very quiet green place, near park. I recommend it.
