Review 17：Beautiful stately resort directly on the beach. A short walk to various restaurants and shops. Live entettairnt in the evening. Fabulous breakfast. Comfortable beds.

Review 18：Hotel superbly situated. Spent 2 nights during the Carthagineses v. Romanos Fiesta in September 2015. Short walk to the port and the also to the Medieval market. Room was excellent (suite), very clean, tea and/or coffee making facilities complimentary in room. Bathroom facilities first class. TV in both living area and bedroom, free WiFi. Car parking available, but can´t be reserved, I had no problem at all but it is essential, I think, during fiesta´s. Altogether a very pleasant experience. I will always go to this hotel when I have to stay for a few days, I recommend it.

Review 20：Very great hotel. Excellent English speaking staff. Nice and comfortable rooms and fantastic spa and gym. Breakfast was also good but a little expensive.

Review 21：Asked for a no smoking room. Was given a smoking room! It smelled awful. Advised reception and they sent someone to clean again but said we couldn't be moved. Even left window open for 4hours and it still didn't alleviate the smell. Finally, after the awkwardness of having to complain again we were offered to move rooms. New room was great. Also, no ironing facility in the rooms. If you need anything ironing you have to go through the hotels ironing service at a fee. We couldn't check in until 2pm, the ironing service finished at 3pm, which we weren't aware of until after 3pm!. So I couldn't iron a cotton dress (got badly creased in my case) that I needed that evening. Even for the next day if you wanted an item back the same day it was an extra 50% surcharge, making the cost over 10Euros just to iron one dress!!! ridiculous service, especially in 2015 when an iron and ironing board are such basic requirements.

Review 22：The Spa is lovely. Fantastic massage, well trained spa staff. Stylish bedrooms. One receptionist was very helpful with directions and suggestions of what to see on our visit.

Review 23：Location was very good, very short walk to the town centre, restaurants, museum and harbour. Room was very good, good size and very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate.

What's not to like? Plenty of local cafeterias for inexpensive breakfast, so we didn't try hotel breakfast which was also available.

Review 29：Room was opposite the lift which meant that every time the lift moved we were disturbed by it. Managed to sleep for a couple of hours between 4 and 6am. We were told that the hotel was full so we could not change rooms. Would not stay here again unless we could be sure that we had a room well away from the lift.

Review 39：It just is not a 4 Star hotel, and if one of the reasons for claimingthe 4 star status is the Leisure facilities, then the 4 star statusshould be taken away. When we arrived the Leisure club was close untilthe evening (which is when we were out like most other watching theEaster processions) and on the second weekend day it was closed all dayand evening. This was not made clear when we booked, so we were unableto use the leisure facilities!! The parking was not connected to the hotel and it was very difficult to take our cases to the room, no help was given! The parking attendant was quite rude to me, I was in a British plated car and he did not realise that I spoke fluent Spanish!! They then charged me 15,00 Euros per day for this inconvinient facility! When we spoke to the receptionist about this we were told that the hotel was forty years old, which is why it was not so convenient! Perhaps they should be rated as a forty year old hotel and have 2 stars!! The Wifi did not work! We specifically asked for a quiet room on a higher floor, we were given a room on the street side on floor 3. So when the young people cam our of the clubs between 02:30 and 05:30 in the morning we were treated to high levels of noise and no sleep!!

Rooms were lovely and warm but you could not change temp so got too hot during the night and when you had window open you got noise until 4am from the bar next door. Only 12 tables in breakfast room, small amount for a large hotel, we had to wait for up to 15 minutes on the Sunday morning for a table, also very sparse breakfast selection for the cost & for a 4 star hotel. Would not stay here again

Rooms and corridor grey and depressing. Room was constantly very hot despite low temps outside. No atmosphere. Would not use it again.

Parking garage was full and unavailable, during the four days I stayed there the advertised breakfast and spa where available one day. The steam room had mold growing in it. The sauna was about 80'F. The hot tub was Luke warm. Nothing about this place was as advertised. I will never stay there again.

Review 55：Parking an absolute nightmare - in an area with residents only parking, had to drive round for ages to find a spot to park and pay, kept having to go out and feed the meter. Very impersonal Hotel, minimal staff, NO BAR, (well there was one but it was closed). Not even a place to get coffee. Breakfast a bit limited, I told the waitress that there was no bacon left, she arrived 15 minutes later with 6 slices ..... ???? Serious let down, absolutely no chance of a balcony or terrace, all rooms just have windows. Spa is not as advertised, much smaller that it looks in the photos, the walkway on stones with jets on feet was cordoned off and not working, the Sauna is infra-red, so does not get as hot as a normal Sauna. Very glad there was only the 2 of us using the place, nice and quiet, but if there had been more than 6 people, place would be horrible. Overall, really a 3*.

Review 56：Hotel in very good location, central to Marina, bars, restaurants and lovely pedestrian only streets with up market shops. Hotel looks a bit grim from the outside (1960's brick built block), but inside was better. Recently refurbished bedroom was lovely and spacious, but a bit let down by the bathroom that had not been renovated. Reception staff (one old chap) a bit grumpy at first, but improved during our stay. We booked to use the Spa, not bad, but not as advertised, no heated pool or water jets. Massage was good. Wi-Fi excellent worked everywhere. They get plus points for having the best Belen I have ever seen, really detailed and fantastic.

Review 57：Breakfast was the worst I have had in Spain for the money. We were not made welcome or informed what was available, man in charge was more interested in reading his news paper. No eggs no bacon yet the man in charge was not aware there was none. The hotel is missing a trick, as it appeared that the majority of patrons were aware of its failings and went elsewhere. We will next time. The hotel should either not offer breakfast or do something about it. It is inviting poor reviews, which is a shame as everything else we experienced was fine except for Wifi along with poor English TV reception

Only staying a night as my boyfriend and I were staying a while away from Cartagena in a golf resort, as I have been driving around for the holiday we fancied a drink on a sat night. Hotel was Nice looking, very clean and friendly staff , only faults were we asked for a double bed not two singles pushed together, ...only fell down the middle a couple of times. The beds were VERY comfortable though. We also wanted to use the spa but it was closed which was a bit of a let down. Otherwise I would definitely stay again.

Review 70：Absolutely excellent bed, very good sized room, great shower, convenient parking, very clean. After travelling for 2 months in Spain and Portugal this hotel was one of the best for comfort and value for money in a well located position.

Review 71：Although the hotel wasn't noisy, when people were on the corridor it was rather loud within the rooms (not very sound proof). Also, we couldn't find any English channels on the TV - I am aware we were in iPhone struggled with the Wi-Fi, but Spain but there is normally at least a news one available! Lastly, my my partners Samsung worked great.

Review 72：The hotel was incredibly well presented, in a modern, quiet and clean environment. It's location is hard to beat, with it easily being in walking distance of the main shopping boulevard and Cartagena port. Reception were helpful, even lending us a spare adaptor and looked after our luggage after check-out. Overall, a fantastic stay and a hotel I would definitely return to.

The breakfast hall was good with standard food selections as expected. Wifi was excellent, and price and parking were very moderate.

Male member of staff quite unfriendly, never really acknowledged us whereas the female staff were always friendly and polite. Beware of parking charges 15 euros per day to park in car park (special rate we were told). We parked for two days at the end of the road for just over 3 euros. Expensive breakfast.
