Casa del Artista is a beautiful white-washed villa set in the countryside 10 minutes’ drive from Elche. It has a lounge and a terrace overlooking the property’s gardens and pine trees.
The bed and breakfast features rustic décor and pieces of bright art work. Each heated room has a private bathroom and offers views of the surrounding countryside. Some rooms have a terrace with views of the gardens or the sea.
The hotel’s gourmet restaurant serves French and local cuisine including seafood and wines from the region. Breakfast can be enjoyed every morning.
Guests can enjoy breakfast in the Casa el Artista’s dining room or on the terrace. There is also a small library with a fireplace.
The beaches at Arenales del Sol and Santa Pola can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Alicante Airport is 6.2 miles away, while the city centre is a 25-minute drive from the Artista.

Review 3：A charming talented host, wonderful 5 star food and comfortable luxurious rooms. Jean Paul provides a feast for both the eyes and the body with his art and cooking.
Review 4：The owner was very accommodating and flexible. He served us a beautiful cheese platter when we told him we were hungry at 10 PM. He did so lovingly and happily, and was generally very attentive to our needs.

Review 7：What did we like? Everything! Spent two nights here and enjoyed the stay immensely. Jean Paul is a wonderful host and most thoughtful and accommodating to his guests. We stayed in the large upstairs room with private bathroom and large balcony. After some sightseeing in Elche, we ended up spending most of our time relaxing on the well shaded downstairs patio and some great after dinner conversations with Jean Paul. Loved his paintings.
Review 8：Took the wrong turning off the motorway coming from direction ofAlmería. J-P's directions tell you to come of at Elche exit. Do notexit at Elche Oeste which is the first exit where Elche is mentioned butcontinue further along the motorway to the Elche exit.

Stimulating environment for lovers ofmodern art.Jean-Paul, the owner goes out of his way to make you feel athome and to provide helpful information about where to go and what tosee. He includes a delicious continental breakfast in the price of yourstay. Nice to escape the tv but to sit in the garden to read or listento music etc. Good wifi connection.

Review 13：A great host who cooked lovely vegan food for for us. A beautiful home. Jean Paul made us feel at home with his personal touch. He posted an item we had left back to us for no charge which was very kind of him.
Review 14：Dinner was unfortunately not upto the same standard. No choice whatsoever and food was below average. Everything piled chaotically on the plate . No choice of wine and overpriced at 35 euros a head. Would not recommend dinner. Breakfast was an acceptable plate of pastries/ breads.

Review 18：This B&B is located on the heights of Elche; you will arrive there easily if you follow the owner's directions. The hotel is a big house with only 4 rooms, if I am not wrong. You are greeted by the host, Jean-Paul who makes every effort to make you feel as if you were at friends'. We had a (the?) superior room, very spacious with a huge terrace opening to the Mediterranean sea (a few miles away), and a nice bathroom. Jean-Paul cooks for his clients, so we had dinner there together with other 2 guests. JP serves fine cuisine accompanied with wine, a 3-course dinner at a reasonable price. On the next morning, we had a nice home-cooked continental breakfast. If you are in the area, go to Jean-Paul's B&B, it is worth the detour. And if you ask, he will show you his paintings, because as the name of the B&B indicated, he is an artist.
Review 19：Lovely facility, terrific hospitality and wonderful food. It was especially nice to get to know the owner (and artist!) It was a perfect place for our stay on that part of the coast.
Review 20：We spent one night at Casa del Artista. A bit hard to find without a map, but when we you get there, you don't want to leave. The property has a big outdoor area with a great view, and our room was clean and lovely. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Review 21：The host Jean Paul paid much attention to our needs. He posted us very informative mails before arrival. We arrived late (22:00), yet late night dinner was served within 15 min. The Casa del Artista B&B looks like an art gallery and works like a home.

Review 25：While the Casa is lovely, the area doesn't lend itself to walking to local shops or cafes so expect to drive. Place also a bit hard to find but JPs directions really work.
Review 26：Jean Paul was extremely helpful and an excellent, friendly, knowledgable host. Lovely vista from the house overlooking the coastline in the distance. Elche is a centre for shoe manufacture so get JP to direct you to the outlet stores for very good reductions. I bought two pairs of Panama Jack all leather sandals. Museum worth a visit.

Review 40：There are no tea/coffee making facilities. The dinner, whilst welcome given the lack of local alternatives, was not good value at 35 euros per person.
Review 41：Casa del Artista is an extremely comfortable and welcoming environment. The owner provided detailed directions to get there and subsequently went out of his way to ensure that we were able to locate the drop-off point for our hire car on our departure. The room itself, whilst quite small, was very comfortable and warm. The breakfast was adequate and overall, certainly by British standards, C del A offers good value for money.
Review 42：Our room was in a converted out-building separate from the main house. In the unseasonably cold winter weather the only heating (a portable electric heater) was barely adequate. If arriving at night it can be quite difficult as the signs are black and not easily visible in the dark.
Review 43：A lovely quiet out of the way place but easily accessible by car from Elche or Alicante airport. Jean-Paul is an excellent host and provides an excellent continental breakfast. To locate Casa Del Artista follow Jean-Paul's directions and the good signs. We tried to be clever by checking the location on google maps and matching street view with the photos on Booking.com but were caught out. Warning - Google maps got it WRONG!

Jean-Paul was the most gracious, attentive host I have ever met. He is also gifted with his cooking! He used the finest ingredients to create a mouthwatering delicious 3 course meal which we all enjoyed! This place is like a hidden gem, a truely unforgettable 5* accommodation! Review 53：Set in a rural location - the perfect place to relax after a longjourney The owner is a charming French artist and his work is evidenton the walls of his home. We arrived late and asked for something toeat. Jean Paul prepared us a meal which was delicious and served withloving attention to detail. Our bedroom was warm and comfortable(January). The huge bathroom had bath robes,plenty of towels andtoiletries and hairdryer. Breakfast was perfect, freshly preparedorange juice, fresh fruit, bread and croissants. We always search forprivate secure parking and Casa Del Artista provided this. We bookedone overnight stay but didn't want to leave ! Casa Del Artista isdefintely a 5* B&B. One of the best of the many we have used.
