Reviews for Vienna House Easy Trier

Review 1:Although it is written that there is an air conditioner, they have no,just an old broken system (ventilation without real conditioning)!!!Just the false advertising!!! Be careful!!!

Review 2:Nothing good. Choose another hotel if you can!

Review 3:Air Conditioning was not adequate!!! Sleep was very uncomfortable because room was still over at least 22 degrees. Air conditioning nowadays can be MUCH better than this. Carpet in room was soiled.

Review 4:Very friendly staff, great breakfast, clean beds and bathroom.

Review 5:We arrived in very hot weather. We were not told that the air conditioning was broken. Our west facing room was unbearably hot. No fan was provided and the receptionist was rude.

Review 6:Proximity to the town center

Review 7:My room was cold and I told the staff at the front desk that cold air was just being blown out from the heating vents. Despite telling the staff and being told it would be fixed, no-one sorted it out. Also, the curtains were not fitted to the window so there was a lot of artificial light from outside entering the room during the night.

Review 8:It was convenient for the ERA conference centre and the breakfast offered was good.

Review 9:Wi-Fi difficult to use. Not having tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 10:It was next to the conference centre I was attending. Spaciousness. Free wi-fi

Review 11:long walk in rain to city centre. heating set by hotel, not able to be adjusted internally by each room. staff - not all fluent in English. Some of them not friendly. bath not shower. shower head was broken, water constantly spilled out of bath whilst showering, making it impossible to shower. toilet paper was not frequently replaced. uncomfortable flat pillows

Review 12:close to conference big spacious rooms but very cold, and hotel staff would not increase room temperature for us. good breakfast.

Review 13:The room we had was just above the outside bar seating area. Unfortunately this meant that the sound of people talking and laughing kept us awake until the early hours. When I went down to the lobby to complain the member of staff informed me that the bar area was closed. After I had informed him that nevertheless there were people still seated present he immediately rectified the problem. The issue was obviously a lack of outside security as I am pretty certain the people talking etc were not even guests of the hotel. Ask for a room at the rear or on one of the upper floors.

Review 14:On-site parking. Easy to find. Close to some of the Roman ruins and not too far from the centre of town if you don't mind a 15 minute walk.

Review 15:Cold water streem in the sink very low. WiFi supposedly free , not working. No technician on duty available.

Review 16:Nice location not far from the city center, nice rooms.l

Review 17:When Booking.com made a misleading listing for this hotel that indicated it was a "Free Cancellation" room, and it turned out NOT to be free, this hotel refused to be reasonable and let us cancel...just hours after the reservation was made.

Review 18:Clean, comfortable.

Review 19:Average rooms. No real indoor entertainment. Restaurant service was average.

Review 20:Great location to walk to the old downtown core or the pool (bad/spa) close by. Staff spoke English and were very professional.

Review 21:The price for a room (and breakfast) seems to be too high because of its just average standard.

Review 22:That is the most convenient option for participants of ERA (The Academy of European Law) activites because its located in the same place (and in a walk-distance to the Roman Bath and the Amphitheater).

Review 23:15-20 minute walk to old town. Staff not unhelpful, but not particularly warm. Resisted drive-in drive-out garage arrangements. Better to find hotel closer to old town. Facade modern, more conference-oriented than personal

Review 24:distance from city center and train station (too far for walking), not very attractive from outside (concrete walls, no trees, no garden)

Review 25:clean, friendly, well organized

Review 26:Cleanliness

Review 27:The oldest female receptionist with short hair was rude. She even prevented a young female receptionist to answer my questions.

Review 28:The location

Review 29:perfect breakfest, nice room, everythink was perfect

Review 30:The parking is very close and secure ,efficient well trained staff , nice big room ,comfortable.

Review 31:nothing

Review 32:Clean comfortable room. Helpful staff

Review 33:Big room and bathroom. Decent breakfast.

Review 34:Nice clean room, very kind and helpful receptionists, good wifi.

Review 35:breackfast absolutly indiscutable for 16 euro a day a complete joke. uneceptable

Review 36:staff was fantastic welcoming and did everything possible

Review 37:A bit far from th city center for sightseeing

Review 38:The location is perfect to attend ERA conferences Very convenient hotel Good comfort

Review 39:Roadside signage was inadequate. Droive around the block trying to find access to property.

Review 40:Overall experience was good.

Review 41:Too pricey for quality of service provided No complementary water / tea / coffee in room Poor internet connection

Review 42:10 minutes walking to city center, comfortable and spacy room. Quiet. Nice staff.

Review 43:-They do not really have AC. They placed After-Eight chocolates on their reception desk but they were all melted together and the hallways were suffocatingly stuffy. Our "AC" came from open windows, but there is a very busy and loud road that runs by the hotel which made this option also problematic -The WiFi did not work in our room. In fact, in order to get an adequate signal, we had to walk to the very centre of the hotel -The staff, while generally friendly, were uninterested in helping us discover information (like if there was a laundromat nearby or how to make a phone call to Switzerland). We were basically told that they didn't know such things and that was that. In light of how poor their WiFi was, which limited our ability to learn things ourselves, this was incredibly unaccommodating. -The WiFi account that we did get expired long before our stay was over -Location is far from both the train station and the historic downtown (about a 25min brisk walk to the train station) -There is not even a single English television channel -We had booked a triple/large room, but because of their booking errors, they gave us two adjoining rooms instead, which was unnecessary (we wanted space, not necessarily more beds). So we ended up with a regular standard room with no reduction in price.

Review 44:-There were large windows that could be opened wide, which was important because their AC is not really AC (just air blowing)

Review 45:All the drinks in the fridge were overdated. The hairdryer was defect. The rooms were very noisy, we could hear every sound coming from our neighbours. Finally, when we booked it was written that we would get free WiFi, but they did not mention we would get a free WiFi password on one device per room and you had to pay extra for a password for another device. Also the lady at the receptioniste was very unfriendly, which was not pleasant.

Review 46:The hotel was located 10 min walking fron the city centre

Review 47:When driving to the Hotel, it was a bit confusing to find the correct entrance and a place to stop. Perhaps some additional signaling would be helpful.

Review 48:Reception staff was very friendly and spoke perfect english; The location is great, it's a pleasant walk to the center passing by nice views like the "small gardens Club" and some roman ruins.

Review 49:Breakfast was over priced and not worth the money in my opinion.

Review 50:Clean and neat place. Friendly staff and quite helpful. Great location. Excellent for a weekend getaway. Friend staff at the bar also.

Review 51:Near roman ruines but a bit far from downtown. Breakfast was expensive Wifi was not free as expected according to Booking's reservation.

Review 52:Quickness in checkin & checkout Size of the room Kindness of the Staff Excellent bed/mattress

Review 53:There was no option to pre-pay by debit card and I was pressed to make abank transfer more than a month in advance just for one extra night. TheWi-Fi is not very good and it turns off, which is annoying and thelocation is a bit isolated. The bathroom was modest in cosmetics - soapand shampoo were not provided every day.

Review 54:The location - just next to the era Acsdemy and even with a corridorconnection makes it really very convenient. The breakfastt is rich andvarious; the rooms a big and clean, though too old furniture.

Review 55:The air conditioning was not very cool, we could not get it to be ascool as we liked. We got a code for the wifi - we had to ask for it though-but the code did not work.

Review 56:Nice place good service

Review 57:We felt that the price of the breakfast was too high so we ate at a cafe around the corner.

Review 58:The lady at the desk was very helpful. Our rooms weren't ready when we got there so she asked us to sit in the bar and poured us a beer. When we got to the room we found it clean and comfortable.

Review 59:The so called airconditioning did not cool, but only blew hot air. It was very hot in the room and due to the location very noisy so opening the windows was no option.

Review 60:Thoroughly boring unimaginative business hotel ; expensive ; they demand full payment up front, before you have even seen the rooms (this is no doubt a wise precaution, because we would have checked out after one night if we had not been committed to them) ; everything chargeable including the water in the room that appeared complimentary ; designed for motorists, rather too far out of centre of the town for non motorists ; expensive breakfasts (well above the norm for the city) ; poorly linked by infrequent bus services ; bar unwelcoming.

Review 61:Easy to find ; ideal for business travellers ;

Review 62:Very cold this hotel. I will not recommend this hotel. Heating lacked Wi-Fi in the room ... cost 5 € and goes very low, we are in the park, cost 9 € / day

Review 63:Hairdryer didn't work. Soap dispener had fallen off the wall in theshower. Only German language tv channels available andI had to pay forinternet connection.

Review 64:The internet (icloud), although it was provided at an extra cost (10euros for 3 days), it was hardly working throughout my stay.

Review 65:Spaciousness and cleanliness of the room, quietness.

Review 66:Neads complete remodeling, outdated furniture, old tv with poor channelreception old carpet, a lot of stains noise from elevator in corridorsmall parking

Review 67:The location ( if you have a car) room size

Review 68:The staff gave our room to another group at the same time. In the night, they opened our door!!! We tried to contact the reception staff. They were very rude! We got no explanation and no sorry for such stupid mistake in a four-star hotel. By check-in and check-out you can feel that the reception manager are very impatient and unfriendly. This was the first time, but also the last time that we stay in this hotel !!!

Review 69:Der Aufenthalt war sehr sehr unangenehm, da die Mitarbeiter sehr unprofessionell und unglaublich unhöflich waren!!!

Review 70:The breakfast was a little too expensive for us, so we decided not to take breakfast at the hotel. But there are plenty of great bakeries in the neighbourhood.

Review 71:Very friendly staff, helped us in English and German. Spacious and clean rooms, good bathroom. Easily accessible and safe parking garage. Hotel was in a great location, only 10 minutes walking from the center.

Review 72:Internet is very expensive and works very poorly, which is far from being a good service in a business hotel.

Review 73:Close to ERA centre, which is the only reason why i chose this hotel.

Review 74:No clear signalisation for the parking, may pass by before seeing that it belongs to the hotel. A bit longer walk to center than indicated. Wi-fi is expensive and the rooms (or at least our room was) anything but elegantly furnished.

Review 75:Comfortable, good local wines offered in the bar, though not a great variety. Very large room (3 bed).

Review 76:Unfortunately, the price was very high and the comfort was not good enough for that price. The 16€ for the breakfast is a ridiculous price as it is ok, but nothing special. The service was below average and when we asked for a snack after the restaurant closed (as it was advertised in the leaflet on the room), we were faced with a receptionist who didnt understand us at all and just said "restaurant closed, no possibility for food" and was not able to speak either German nor English. So we were rather disppointed, especially after paying the final bill...

Review 77:The rooms were fairly clean and the size was ok. It is only a 10-minute-walk from the city centre.

Review 78:staff with a good sense of humour, service-minded although somewhat reluctant to be specific in advice.

Review 79:No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms

Review 80:Parking under the building

Review 81:It is an ideal location if you are participating in one of the ERA training.

Review 82:I expected more from a 4 star hotel in amenities versus price.

Review 83:A well located motel.

Review 84:We can use Wi-Fi only with 1 device. Signal was very weak (Maybe depend on room). Sometimes I could use internet.

Review 85:Not so far from the city center.

Review 86:The breakfast was very expensive but quite poor.

Review 87:Nice and clean rooms, good location still close enough to the city.

Review 88:All or stay was great.

Review 89:Over priced breakfast option

Review 90:Convenient location and parking

Review 91:breakfast was too expensive

Review 92:easy to get in and out of.

Review 93:Staff was excellent, especially at the front desk. Close to everything~

Review 94:Charged for internet (even though booking.com paperwork said it was covered) Very uncomfortable bedding

Review 95:Hotel associate was nice

Review 96:Nice size room. A real triple. Great location to the old town Very accessible

Review 97:The pillow was pathetic room was like a ww2 bunker clean but srill a bunker

Review 98:Breakfast restorant is too small.

Review 99:Wi-Fi was unreliable- did not appear to work most of the time Bar not open on evening of 25 April No wine in mini-bar

Review 100:TV old

Review 101:Modern

Review 102:good, friendly staff, clean proper comfortable rooms, walking distance to center!

Review 103:The parking arrangement was strange and not well explained

Review 104:Nice and clean rooms, good location still close enough to the city

Review 105:Distance from (busy) road and Trier centre

Review 106:Clean

Review 107:No leisure facilities

Review 108:Good location, spacious room

Review 109:Comfortable, good value, well positioned.

Review 110:Without services. No internet free in the room,no internet free in thelobby, no breakfast inclusive, etc.

Review 111:Wifi is expensive (15€ per day), bit of a hike to center of Trier.

Review 112:Nice hotel with an attentive staff.
