Reviews for Hotel Pinomar
Review 1:Sound isolation is not very good - if somebody speaks outside your door you can't avoid listening to the conversation. Wi-Fi doesn't work on balkonies, only in the rooms.
Review 2:Location, decoration, atmosphere. The hotel is placed in a very quiet place, the beach is 5-7 minutes walk through the piny wood where you can meet few rabbits. The room was cleaned every day.
Review 3:The layout of the three-bed studio is not very practical. There is a small kitchen (fridge comes in very handy) but no table or chairs to have lunch with three.
Review 4:Three nice swimming pools, atmosphere in the hotel, original decoration. Location close to the beach. Zumba workouts etc... offered for free.
Review 5:expensive, we booked for 4 grown-up persons and they packed us together in one small room with some camping beds. Old furnitures, bad taste. We wanted to speak to the manager but he was never there.
Review 6:No bad experiences at all.
Review 7:The rooms were a very god size & quite clean. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, beside a pine forest, close to the beach.
Review 8:too far to walk to town. taxi needed making hotel more expensive than taking a hotel near town. only food available at hotel is breakfast.
Review 9:room size ecellent (big) very quiet area near a small woodland and beach (which is a bit dirty)
Review 10:step out of the room onto a sun terrace leading down to clean pools and a well kept garden....a short woodland walk of 4/5 minutes to an excellent beach with bars/restaurants.
Review 11:A beautiful situation amongst Pine forest and close to beaches, nice pool and a complete surprise, a separate small kitchen, sitting room with hob and fridge. It would be a good longer stay hotel.
Review 12:Not very easy to find (we didn't have a GPS). Quite far from the centre of the town but with a car it's not a problem. Very basic breakfast.
Review 13:Very helpful staff, quiet area. One of the pools is suitable for fitness swimming. A tiny beach three minutes walk - and a couple of bigger and nicer beaches some 10 minutes walk. Pine forest nearby. Beautiful area.
Review 14:The food. The noise - the rooms opened onto a public area with kids running and screaming around. Absolutely weird religious statues and chapels in the hotel. Extreme religious art work.
Review 15:The pool The staff
Review 16:The information provided at the time of booking was misleading, their rooms could not possibly accommodate 4 adults. There was a double bed plus a single bed in the sleeping area, and a very narrow day/sofa bed in the kitchen/entrance area. According to the information on the website, there was a full kitchen, but instead, we found a partial kitchen (stove but no dishes, glasses and cutlery for two, and a few saucepans - no kettle or microwave oven). The TV was not larger than 23" and was wall mounted in the entrance area.
Review 17:There were two decent size swimming pools on site. The staff were very apologetic for trying to sell a room for two (or for a family with young children) to 4 adults. Additionally, although they insisted that we had pay for the first night, they agreed to cancel the booking for the remaining 6 nights.
Review 18:Breakfast a little plain and unvaried. Wifi hopeless. Overhead shower not working, only the hand held feature worked, but hotel regarded it as ok. Not cool.
Review 19:Almost all staff very helpful and competent. Nice, clean pool suitable for fitness swimming. Well located near a great beach and nearish the marina and town. Reasonably priced meals. Would stay again in a different room.
Review 20:Very nice and helpful staff Yoga on the roof twice a week Walking-distance to two beaches, one with restaurants and bars. Beautiful garden Paintings and decoration in common areas
Review 21:Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent continental breakfast selection. Not too far away from town centre.
Review 22:Noisy guests!
Review 23:Quiet location.
Review 24:Low quality wifi internet.
Review 25:Nice, clean and big room and friendly staff.
Review 26:Wasn't close to any amenities have to walk or taxi around to get anywhere.
Review 27:The pool and own kitchen area ten minutes walk to marina.
Review 28:No Wifi in the bedrooms Bedrooms could be a little up-dated
Review 29:The staff the grounds the pool the hotel ambiance
Review 30:Staff very helpful, comfortable small hotel. Pool facilities very good.
Review 31:that I could stay longer ;)
Review 32:Very nice decorated hotel and room. Swimming pool nice.
Review 33:Bar, breakfast service bit lacking
Review 34:Pool, location
Review 35:30 minte walk into town centre/harbour area
Review 36:Quiet, comfortable, not too expensive
Review 37:No tea making facilities in the rooms
Review 38:Excellent hotel with good outdoor facilities
Review 39:Breakfast
Review 40:Swimming pool
Review 41:The bed was extremely ( I could feel every spring) and my back was in A LOT of pain the following day. The hotel is extremely far from the centre, about an hour walk, and even further from the train station. To get to the beach you have to walk through a forest which is really scary if you're coming back from the centre at night. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone without a car.The walls are paper-thin and one of the neighbors of the hotel has a dog that barks all night so I recommend you come with ear plugs. The housekeeping didn't throw away any of the garbage. Our room came with a kitchen but it was pretty much useless as there wasn't any silverware or pots and pans provided to cook with. The interior of the hotel is filled with biblical statues and portraits in every corner, probably more than the local cathedral. This isn't the most welcoming image for those who don't identify with this religion.
Review 42:The staff at the bar downstairs were friendly as well as the new gentleman who works the front desk during the night staff. The room was quite big.
Review 43:breakfast really bad no resuarant open except breakfast and only one place you could actually walk to for food, Too remote unless you have a car.
Review 44:staff helpfulish good price near the beach and a woodland
Review 45:Nothing really but it was a bit out of the main town.
Review 46:Spacious hotel room. Food in restaurant was extremely good value for money. Short pleasant walk to the beach. Hotel was more quirky than the normal chains but all the better for that and it had all the facilities you would expect
Review 47:They didn't clean our room in three days, only made the beds. They didn't even take the trash out.One day they just left the towels on top of the bidet. We had to ask them to send somebody to clean the room. The window couldn't open properly since the frame was broken. The same happened with the bathroom window and the closet door. The TV has no English speaking channels, not even news channels. We could hear everything that was going in the rooms next to ours and even the noise that was coming from the cafeteria that was on the ground floor. The beds were really hard and uncomfortable, so we really didn't get much rest during our stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody.
Review 48:reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful
Review 49:We absolutely loved the pools and the big garden with banana trees and exotic plants. The hotel itself is very original, it even has a little chapel. There is lots of artwork everywhere and we saw a wonderful painting exibition in the room downstairs.
Review 50:The English skills of the starff were quite limited. The breakfast was very basic - no warm food. The distance to the city, marina and restaurants is relatively long (unless you are by car) and not pedestrian friendly. The walking distance to the Beach is ok but very difficult with a stroller.
Review 51:A nice and large room, friendly starff, good cleaning with pleanty supply of new towels, three pools - one primarly for adults and two for families with children, a bar with drinks and snacks. Also nice with a relatively large fridge in the hotel room.
Review 52:Family room slightly cramped for four with inadequate storage space No tables or loungers on the sun deck A few minor niggles with the room but nothing worth making a fuss about
Review 53:Responsive, helpful and obliging staff Excellent quiet location Good fast wifi coverage Attractively built and furnished in local style Lovely quiet hotel Pool area well tended and very clean, never over-crowded
Review 54:Friendly staff, always willing to help with day trip, opening the bar or else. Very good pool and relaxing area. Very nicely looking Hotel inside and out.
Review 55:Nice hotel, good value for money, and with a location in a peaceful place, but still not difficult to reach e.g. Cadiz Swimming- pool area recommendable
Review 56:There was no dinner table and there was only one chair, so it wasn't too comfortable to eat sitting on the beds in front of the small coffee-table. And we had to air the apartment each time we returned after rather long absense because of the smell of cats. But inspite of all the mentioned above we will recommend Hotel Pinomar to our friends and will be happy to come to it again.
Review 57:The staff was very friendly. There was a kitchenette in our apartment and it was very convenient as we travelled with kids. We were provided with all we needed for cooking. The pools were clean and warm and our kids spent all the free time in them. The beach close to the hotel is very good - clean, not crowded. The apartment was cleaned every day. We left our car in the street right in front of the hotel. We felt VERY relaxed in Hotel Pinomar.
Review 58:The room walls are not enough isolated, so if you are "lucky" with noisy neigbours you might hear them at night.
Review 59:Location is great - pine forest (very nice and sweet air!), beach - 5 min walk, the hotel itself is a nice old Spanish-style house. The room was with the kitchen and the friendly staff brought everything we needed for cooking (even the microwave), so nice of them. Also we had a large piece of corner terrase, sort of isolated from other rooms with terrases, that was very convenient (room no.113). A quite amazing feature was the Saturday concert in the hotel hall, could enjoy some Spanish and European opera arias (seems that they have it regularly). In general, very good and convenient hotel for this price.
Review 60:The breakfast was totally uninspired and makeshift. Food was just left out for clients to help themselves (no-one to assist or offer anything freshly cooked). The dining room was also dull and not at all inviting.
Review 61:Staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a nice quiet spot out of the town and near some lovely pine woods.
Review 62:We were expecting a bedroom with ensuite bathroom and we had akitchenette and lounge area. The layout of the hotel was lovely - it hada very Spanish feel to it
Review 63:The hotel is very original and exotic. When I compare the rooms of the hotel with the other multi-star hotels,ı definitely prefer the hotel.
Review 64:very little, finding it was a problem but once you sussed out how the town worked it wasn't an issue
Review 65:a lovely hotel, nice staff and quiet area,
Review 66:No kitchenware provided
Review 67:very close to a beautiful beach, quiet, nice swimming pools
Review 68:great beach location
Review 69:Wifi slow, location not ideal for us.
Review 70:Staff and value
Review 71:I like most things place clean, staff very helpful and pool and the surroundings very nice
