Reviews for La Casa Chacinera
Review 1:The mattress was 1,90 m long but not wide enough for two persons to sleep quietly. No snow in "La Covatilla" :-(
Review 2:Quietness of the village (not our country fellow portuguese neighbours of floor one!!!); Helpful owners; Free car parking nearby.
Review 3:No complaints.
Review 4:Beautiful old house, full of character and tastefully decorated in a rustic way. Lots of space. The owner was friendly and made us very welcome. One tip: if you come into Candelario from the east (Barco de Avila), there's a free public car park at the entrance to the village and the house is only a few metres away! This saves you having to negotiate the narrow streets in the car.
Review 5:Poor wifi. When we arrived, the house was locked and it took us an hour or so to find the owner. We had to call booking.com and even started to look for another hotel, because it was pretty late. We tried to call the owner but nobody picked up...So later the owned just showed up and we got in. So be careful - better arrive in the afternoon, not evening.
Review 6:Really cosy nice village with authentic houses. The owner has recommended us really good restaurant for dinner. Clean room, good value for money. Big kitchen with fridge.
Review 7:In a way the road through the village, even if special and somewhat fun. But you had to fold the outside rear mirrors to make through at some places on the road. I didn't dare to think of meeting someone on the way down. Leaving I was shown the outside road, which was a normal country road.
Review 8:The village worth a trip of itself. Narrow - very narrow - streets, cobble stoned, steep. There is a road on the side up to the village but our navigation system took the shortest way through the very narrow, bending, steep, cobble stone road. We got there at the end. La Casa is extraordinary with a very friendly, serving owner. A winter sport cabin, years back. Simple, traditional with what you need in a fair comfort. Well worth a stay! Dog OK, Wi-Fi OK. Free out door parking 200 m up the road but also a roofed garage there with fees. No meal service but good restaurants nearby. Can recommend Mesón La Candela next to the church, 200 m down. A very fair price making high price performance, even if simple/special.
Review 9:difficult to find, right at very top of town.TV very poor.No air con
Review 10:good value for money, very clean, free parking nearby

Review 13:The hotel was hard to find.
Review 14:The hotel was hard to find in "upper Candelario" but once located the hotel and it's location were fantastic! The room was beautiful and there was a shared kitchen. Everything was ultra-clean. I would love to go here for an extended stay.
Review 15:Very poor wifi connection - unable to connect in my room and no othersuitable areas to sit except on stairs. Candelario village almost closesdown by late October.
Review 16:Lovely 'rustic' building typical of the village. Very niceowner. Public car park 100m away. Nice room but as only guest commonareas were closed off.
Review 17:The condition of the accommodation was beautiful and of the highest standard. The owner was helpful and very friendly.
