Reviews for Sokha Angkor Resort
Review 1:The room was a little hot during, call the staff but they could not get the room any cooler.
Review 2:Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Excellent view of the pool area, and the Japanese restaurant reminded us of Japan.
Review 3:The property was a bit dated externally. But this does not affect the comfort in any way.
Review 4:Everything! The location, the friendly staff, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness.
Review 5:Nothing bad to say!!
Review 6:Everything was perfect. The rooms are big and comfortable, the pool is fantastic, breakfast is delicious, staff are helpful, and the location is very central. Absolutely wonderful stay there, would definitely recommend.
Review 7:My second visit to Siem Reap and this hotel certainly made the whole experience even better. Loved the rooms and the pool, the breakfast and the friendly staff.
Review 8:Hard mattress and stern breakfast service.
Review 9:Deep appreciation to Miss Kimsour for her excellent service and genuine warm smiles. Made my check-in a breeze...
Review 10:The hotel is extremely well appointed. Close to the main centre so walking was easy to get anywhere. The staff were excellent in all areas . This is my 2nd stay here and I will return to this hotel.
Review 11:No problems during our 7 night stay.
Review 12:Everything! Breakfast buffet very good. Salt water swimming pool with waterfalls and poolside bar was fantastic. Good location to banks and shopping.
Review 13:Price and my door key card kept not working.
Review 14:Great location. Great property. Always my go to stop in Siem Reap. Just wish it was more appropriately priced vs other local properties. But you do get what you pay for.
Review 15:Great hotel lovely staff who spent the whole afternoon with us in the rental car. always gave us an ice cool towel after visiting the temples under 38 degrees! Thanks a lot
Review 16:the food was not great in the hotel ate there one night mistake when seim reap has so many restuarants
Review 17:the pool area was great for the kids ( 7 big kids)
Review 18:mosquitos at the cafe facing the main entrance. Although, we didn't get any bites there but it was not comfortable having so many of them flying around
Review 19:I was very pleased with the condition of the room. Absolutely loved the balcony which faces the beautiful pool. Wi-Fi was very strong and connection was easy and fast. Although the breakfast was the same everyday, I enjoyed it! All staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Review 20:Lunch service a little slow in the bar cafe
Review 21:Perfect location, just a block from the iconic Grand Hotel d'Angkor and a short drive to Angkor Wat. Outstanding suite room (living room plus two bedrooms), huge amount of space and beds large enough for 3 people! Reasonably priced for a very nice property - lovely pool/garden area, nice spa, good service.
Review 22:Location is not bad, but a little long distance to the pubstreet. (it takes about 15~20min by walk.)
Review 23:It has great salted pool and includes various breakfast buffet. And room was very big and clean.
Review 24:Everything was perfect.
Review 25:Everything was excellent. A real 5 star hotel ! Good staff. Lovely room and pool. Good breakfast. evening chocs. welcome drink and fruit and even a surprise birthday cake !! 500m walk to pub street for meals and drinks.
Review 26:wifi intermittent and at ridiculous speed. Electric wiring of the room was designed by a psyco to let you play "treasure hunt": entrance light switch was in the kitchen, living room switches at the entrance and kitchen, bedroom switches part on the wall and part on one side of the bed; some lights in the living room did not have switches at all and could only be turned off by unplugging the actual plug... it all drove me crazy on the first night
Review 27:sumptuous facilities on the way to the temples. big restaurant, pool and rooms; abundant and varied breakfast
Review 28:They do a very welcoming check-in process with refreshments and an individual attention by the manager on duty but it takes longer than one would expect. There is a variety of restaurants in the hotel but all very expensive when compared to restaurants in town. La Indochine is a very good restaurant alternative and just walking distance.
Review 29:Its walking distance from Pub Street and the Old Market, popular hangouts in town but far enough to provide good rest. Breakfast is very good too, including the box you take to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. And the swimming pool is a real oasis in the heat of Siem Reap.
Review 30:Breakfast buffet was great but it got very busy and staff could not keep up with demand
Review 31:A beautiful hotel and lovely spacious room with a super king bed.
Review 32:Booked room from Booking.com, like always, and again have to wait at the lobby long time for staff can find my booking...finally dont find, so i have to send email to them and get the room after 1.5hours waiting...They upgrade us to swimming pool side room for free for all this waiting, so it was good. I Booked just 2 nights from booking.com and would like to stay longer but hotel was fully booked...Staff were nice but not all of them...
Review 33:Nice bed, nice room, nice shower...breakfast ok...specially guys in front door so nice and welcoming...Would go here again next trip to SR...
Review 34:The wifi is not bad, but if it is improved, the accommodation will be more attractive.
Review 35:Friendly and helpful staff, convenient location. I love this accommodation and its staff. My room is not a luxurious one, so I do not have much to say about the furniture :).
Review 36:Spa experience just ok.
Review 37:Restaurant was great, awesome omelettes for breakfast. The staff were friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Rooms very spacious, pool was lovely. Location was central. The gym was great.
Review 38:Go hire bikes from Rosy's Guesthouse (just across the river) and rent the White Bicycles for $2 a day, funds go to local charities.
Review 39:So nice. The room was very comfortable. The pool was amazing, especially after a long day cycling around the temples. The staff were so nice and attentive. We arrived early, having checked out of a bad hotel early, and they kindly let us into the room at around midday. Overall a great place to stay.
Review 40:Booked room from booking.com, but staff doesnt find the booking, so have to wait almost 1 hour to get in room, even we came late 9pm...But good thing was that hotel update our room to poolside free...
Review 41:Everything was great..Short way to walk everywhere...Nice staff, rooms, etc
Review 42:At morning, I can hear the nosie from the upstairs (moving of the chair)
Review 43:The service from staff is pretty good and you can be cared in almost all aspects.
Review 44:the suite we had was very nice clean and comfortable but a bit dated! could just do with a little refurb to make it excellent
Review 45:the staff were wonderful and could not do enough to help the restaurant was fantastic and the pool beautiful! a perfect place to use as a base whilst sightseeing in siem reap!
Review 46:The handling of credit cards is completely unacceptable. It's not a 5 star hotel but a poorly kept 4 star. The decor us outdated and poor taste. Tours organised by hotel to boat tripwas a disaster.
Review 47:The location
Review 48:The shower is too low and not good. The balcony is very small. Sound from the water at the pool not to our liking. The juice in the breakfast is not "real " juice
Review 49:spa treatments overpriced / same quality available for one quarter the price downtown staff not sufficiently attentive for a five star hotel, few spoke good english
Review 50:swimming pool breakfast choice
Review 51:One and only - weak wi-fi connection. I could hardly check nor send photo messages, and it took so long to check my e-mails. But other than that, nothing at all to complain.
Review 52:Actually, everything from the check-in to the check-out. My early check-in request was fully satisfied, the location is the best (walking distance to Lucky Mall & tuktuks always ready at the hotel), and the pool was great with clean water and comfortable sunbeds! Other than the major services, there were details I liked. When I asked the direction to the national museum, the hotel staffs told me I could buy ticket from the hotel concierge and they also arranged complimentary one-way ride to the museum. Also my favorite was the bicycle rental service($4~5 a day). You can just ask for one at the concierge, select the bicycle you like from the list they give you, and in a 5 to 10 minutes it is ready. It was about 30 minutes ride to the Angkor Wat, and it was indeed the most enjoyable moment during my stay.
Review 53:Booked a pool view but no sight of pool as blocked by trees, felt short changed. There are many empty rooms, could have given us one with better view.
Review 54:Walking distance to a lot of massage shops , night markets and eateries.
Review 55:The food was not very good. The breakfast was sub par for a 5 star hotel. The hotel and rooms are outdated.
Review 56:Location, pool, bed was comfortable, staff was nice and it was quite.
Review 57:Having to leave.

Review 116:The staff service is superb. The facilities are complete and value for the money. The room is clean and very well equipped and plenty of TV channels and fast Wifi. Good breakfast and varieties of eateries.
Review 117:Our city view room is just next to the main road which was noisy from time to time due to the cars and motorcycles passing by. Also we got quite a few mosquito bites during the night, even after requesting the hotel to use more mosquito spray in the room.
Review 118:When we walked into the lobby there is a very refreshing and invigorating aroma which we loved. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great selection of food for breakfast.
Review 119:The entrance hall into the hotel looks amazing. The swimming pool a great size and looks great. Worth staying in the hotel even if it's just for the pool. Staff friendly and gave us free transport to the airport in a hotel jeep.
Review 120:This hotel is fantastic, the staff is very friendly and make you feel like a king. The hotel has all the facilities and very nice restaurants, location is great, very close to the market and the main streets, I'll be back this year and stay there again, too many awsome temples to see at once!
