Review 1：Reception is not manned the whole day. If you have a problem you have to phone some other hotel.
Review 2：Great location, very friendly and helpful concierge, balcony with super views. Basic budget hotel, resto downstairs also very good. My room was recently refurbished.
Review 3：The hotel does not have a sign with its name on it. Almost impossible to locate. There is no staff at the hotel. they are at another hotel. balcony door automatically locks, trapping guests outside. Bar under room with loud music all night. no parking near hotel, three block walk. hotel is on a closed street. no way to drive there.

Review 5：Only criticism,not the hotel's fault,were the mosquitoes.It was hot (surprise) so we had the doors open,and some mosquitoes came in.If I stayed again I would take a spray,but then after meeting Snros Mosquitoes I'd take it wherever I stayed.

Review 10：Very good sized, clean room for single occupancy. Bonuses: fridge, aircon & fairly fast wifi. Location excellent: 100m from sea, 10min walk from bus station. For this price would definitely stay again if ever came back to Torre.
Review 11：Not easy getting in! I didn't see the notice in very very small print about going to another hotel to get the key. The place was locked up and no one in sight...I felt stranded. Finally found someone walking by who helped me.

Review 19：Male staff member we spoke to by phone was rude/too blunt/ very unfriendly, unwelcoming and unapologetic when we informed him the lock on balcony door didn't work. No safe in room or at reception so it was fair that we mentioned the broken lock. They did send somebody to fix it but it wasn't fixed. we said no more as the man we had talked to was so rude. Unfortunately we don't speak spanish and the lady running the guesthouse didn't speak English. restaurant under our room very noisy when opening and closing....dragging furniture across floor.

Review 21：We got there at 11 pm. There was nobody in reception...there is no reception! You need to go to another hotel to get the keys....luckily we found somebody who knew where the other hotel was, as the hotel had not informed us of anything. Also the room was very noisy, almost impossible to sleep.
Review 22：We arrived at 7 pm and door was locked with a note on saying to go to another hotel to check in. At the other hotel we were given our keys to the room . When we got to the room which we had paid extra for a sea view and terrace and a bed for my 11 year old daughter . The room smelt of new paint , the terrace was dirty and the sheets they had used when painting the room had been thrown over the balcony onto the roof below . There was no table and chairs to sit at on the terrace because it was too small to put a chair on so no need for a sea view because no where to sit and enjoy it . We had to go back to the other hotel where we got the key and they were very kind and gave us a room in there hotel .

Review 51：I have almost lost count , the number of times I have been here,this time a lovely gesture was left by the hosts, made us feel so appreciated thank you, We have traveeled almost all of andalucia and I can say that Las Americas offers the best as far as location, price , hospitality and comfort goes. I have booked to go yet again and am contemplating booking all the rooms and taking all the family early next year to celebrate the in laws 50 years wedding aniversary.

Review 53：everything! the room was super clean, the en suite was top quality, with a very modern shower enclosure, very modern indeed. The lady in charge made us very welcome, the flooring was top quality too and there was air conditioning, a refrigerator a TV and good free wifi. we will certainly be going there again and again. Car parking was not easy of difficult, there is a lot of parking space but many cars too. but just opposite there were 2 guys helping people to park for a voluntary charge of 1 euro, they were very helpful to me and saved me a parking place for a few seconds while i moved my car. plenty of bars and restaurantes, and the sea front and beach were magnificent!
Review 54：Well I am such a regular here , that they were really extra nice to us this time round, with a bowl of fruit ,and splendid tolietries, you cannot beat that for appreciation! thank you so much! Las Americas is simply a wonderful place in a location second to none that I can describe in Spain, first line beach and in the middle of the town, Torre del Mar is bustling with life, breaming with reasonable priced places to eat and shop, Have booked to go again.
Review 55：Reception was closed when we arrived at 1730 although we were advised it would be open. Had to go to another hotel for keys. Parking was ok as it was off season but I think in high season it will be a problem

Review 58：this is about the fourth time I have stayed here, my favorite place ever, best location, for beach town, perfect for middle age people, hotel ideal for thoses who wish to have peace and tranquility, the fridge is what adds the extral special touch for us, we can chill the drinks and head for the beach the day we check out, although there is no parking there are paid parkings al aorund the hotel, so long as you avoid the afternon which is peak bathing time, you shuld find a parking.
Review 59：The use of a fridge gave me the freedom to have food and drink always at hand and enabled me to sit on the balcony and enjoy the wonderful views. A real plus for anyones holiday!

The woman that greeted meat the hotell and checked me in didn't speak a word of english and Idon't speak any spanish but we still managed great, mostly due toher amazing positive attitude!

Review 66：The parking...on the map it looks as though there is a lot of parking space near the hotel, but during July and August all the parkings are fully occupied 24/7 and it is really difficult to find an empty space (the best hours to find an empty spot are when people leave the beach: at 2PM, 8PM and after midnight) The room furniture was a bit old, but the bathroom looked recently refurbished. Don't recommend Torre del Mar, theoretically, it looks like a nice seaside resort with a lot of facilities, but in reallity it's a place where most of the tourists are elderly noisy people. There are very few hotels because everyone stays in appartment blocks. The sea is cold (20-21 degrees C in August) and dirty (floating brown stuff) and it's the same in other places on Costa del Sol too.

Review 73：Second time here and I plan to go again, the guests of this hotel havethe chance to uses the spa at the torremar hotel for a fee just enquireat check in and also meals can be eaten here if you wish to include thisin your stay, not really essential as the area is bustling withrestuarants, the Cueva is where all the locals eat and as I said in myprevious write up as for half rations as they areenourmous!...........no parking is available but there are spacesavailable all aound or the public parking is five mins away and costs 17euros per day!.. The beach is 1 minute away and the city center is alsoa minute away , you could not ask for more. Apartment has recently beenrefurbished, tv has loads of chanels air con works extremly well and theshower is enormous with plenty of hot water and good pressure, goodquality toiletries are provided daily as is maid service...........Forthe price you could not ask for more!

The restaurant called La Cueva is where all the locals eat, ask for half rations as they are enormous. If you fancy a lie in, then dont request breakfast there are plenty of places to have a cheap roll or toast.

Review 85：Hotel is in a very good location. After 1pm you have to collect the key from hotel Torre Mar just round the corner- the staff on reception are extremely efficient there. The hotel is exceptionally clean. I read another review about a "metal door" that you had to gain access to the hotel from - this is just a traditional Spanish front door on buildings. A good size balcony with views to the sea across the road.
Review 86：Hotel Las Americas is an excellent choice for a beach and town holiday in Torre del Mar,. It is very near the seaside and there are plenty of good shops and restaurants close at hand. I enjoyed walking along the promenade which will be even better soon due to a complete renovation project presently in progress. The hotel was very clean, my room was comfortable and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The lady in charge even offered to carry my rather bulky luggage upstairs for me ! The seaview from my balcony was really superb. Altogether I was very pleased with this great value hotel booking.
Review 87：No reception - just a notice to say contact another hotel but noindication as to where this hotel was. It offered breakfast but therestaurant downstairs said they were 'separado' from Las Americas. Entryto the room was through a back entrance with a iron door which wasimpossible for me to open - had to ask passersby to help me. Aircon/heat was without instructions. This was Dec and hueat was set on 30but switched off randomly.. Room tiny and badly laid out.
