Reviews for XQ El Palacete

Review 1:Nothing!

Review 2:Fantastic location all rooms overlook the sea. Jandia beach is probably one of the most beautiful in the whole island. Helpful and friendly staff who always have your comfort at heart. A big thank you to Sandra, Luis and Rosa who made us feel at home.

Review 3:Cleaner left bag of rubbish in room and unclean cloth shower was hot and then cold even though on the hot setting

Review 4:Staff vfriendly v helpful fab location view spectacular

Review 5:The wifi is just okay -- depends on where you are in your room. The evening staff is very good (a couple ladies during the day, and a gentleman during the evening), but the early morning staff (an older man) is nearly useless.

Review 6:The hotel boasts an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. The room was very clean and was within walking distance of restaurants and shops on the beach. The bathroom was really nice.

Review 7:Wifi was horrendous, ebvery day given a huge lengthy code to input username and password , kept dropping out of wifi. A real bug bear. Too many germans, very boring bar and quiet with no personality.

Review 8:Loved the view and staff friendly, great location near to lovely fish restaurants. Hotel clean and neat.

Review 9:The water not included in dinner, even if it is already on the table when you arrive. Pool water temperature a little bit too cold

Review 10:Clean,excellent position, good breakfast, great dinner, restaurant staff really kind

Review 11:The situation is perfection. The staff so accommodating. Sea views with sun all day to everyone of the 54 rooms. We went on a B and B basis and the choice and quality of the food excellent. Large comfortable rooms.Hotel situated close to restaurants and shops and the beautiful Morro del Jable sandy beach. We can't wait to go again.

Review 12:Room facilities could be enhanced with tea/ coffee making kit. The bar area lacked atmosphere somehow, bit like an airport lounge, but there's plenty of options locally.

Review 13:Good location for peace and quiet with a bit of local charm nearby. Friendly staff, without being intrusive. Prosecco for breakfast (!!), generally good selection to set you up for the day. Wonderful views up the coastline from every sea facing balcony. Heated freshwater pool, for when it isn't quite warm enough.

Review 14:XQ El Palacete is a small very quiet hotel in a superb location. You can hear the sea from your bedroom and the beautiful Jandia beach is only a 5 min walk as is the centre of Morro Jable with its shops, bars & restaurants. All the rooms are a good size, well furnished and overlook the sea. The small hotel capacity means there is easy access to sun loungers, meal times are hassle free and the staff have the time to be friendly and helpful to their guests.

Review 15:The beds were a bit soft

Review 16:The location overlooking the sea was quite superb. The peace and quiet. The magnificent beach The friendliness of the staff The excellent cuisine

Review 17:Very little to gripe about. Mattress was very hard but, with sea air, stil slept well.

Review 18:The view of the sea and beach were amazing. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was quiet and peaceful.

Review 19:The hotel is beautifully situated, wonderful views of beach and sea - away from any traffic - close enough to shopping centre and delightful restaurants. The hotel food is phenomenally good - breakfast and evening meals exceptionally good quality and value - lovely [large] lunchtime snacks available too. The staff are without exception charming, helpful and friendly.

Review 20:No kettle and tea in the rooms. The bed, although massive which I loved, I personally prefer a duvet in stead of layered sheets on the bed. The bed was also a bit hard. At times we felt we were a bit rushed at dinner by staff clearing away plates to quickly. TV could cater for English as well. There were just German and Spanish channels, bar BBC news 24.

Review 21:Staff were amazing. We were particulary charmed by multi-lingual Ben. There were alot of German tourists, so it was lovely speaking to the staff and getting an inisght into a bit of their culture and country. The view from the hotel was super. Hotel location was again great. Right on the beach front, sea view and close to shops and restuarants. we saw a dolphin in the sea on our last night there. The buffet dinner and breakfast is great value for money. The area is quite quiet and relaxing which was exactly what we wanted. I would definitely go back and recommend it if a friend wanted a hot, sunny, relaxing holiday with lots of fresh sea air. Loved it!

Review 22:Not bad, but wifi should recognize You when coming back every day. Stressed by AlwYs having to write the code again and again

Review 23:The place of the hotel against the beach and sea and the little town Morro Jable close up

Review 24:Not enough parking places for all guest cars on the 1st night, narrowly avoided a street parking fine the following morning

Review 25:Location & opportuntity to sit on your balcony and hear the waves crashing below Size of the bedrooms

Review 26:The mainew dinner at night could have been better quality.

Review 27:Fantastic location who love the sound of the ocean reverberating day nd night. Small hotel, attracting like minded people ..simpli city, maybe slightly old fashioned qualities.

Review 28:Noise of guests next door 'coughing all night'. Noise from kitchen area below end of property rooms.

Review 29:The lovely champagne arrival. The Staff were exceptional! From the front desk: 'Louis; Norah and Susan; to the Dining Room: Superb Host Jose and chef Aristanza; wait Staff Ben and Pablo and Rosa in and around the bar area. Wonderfully attentive service! Thr view from room was beautiful overlooking sea and Esplanade. The beds were very comfortable. The cleaning schedule of rooms was terrific and the little chocolate gifts each time was a lovely touch! Pool area and sunbeds was immaculate! The locale of property for early morning walks on beach and evening strolls into town and esplanade...lovely!

Review 30:The only downfall of the trip was the irritating wifi, having to log in every half an hour. Log in page doesn't remember your password, very long and difficult to remember log in name and passwords. Buffet food could be improved on.

Review 31:Everything was great, the view from the room was breathtaking. Staff were very friendly and room was clean and comfy.

Review 32:We had a lovely room, but for me the bed was a bit hard for my back. But we like going to El Palacete, and this was our third visit.

Review 33:The view from the room and access to a sandy beach. The variety and quality of the food, and the attention and care provided by the staff - in the restaurant, in reception and room service.

Review 34:Not worth mentioning

Review 35:Loved the friendly atmosphere and smaller size of hotel. The food was great, the staff were great, the whole place was great, the swimming pool was the clearest I have ever seen. The sea views are spectacular and sun beds are very comfortable.

Review 36:You have to pay for the safe in your room

Review 37:The location of the hotel is excellent with nice views over the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Very short walk to the beach

Review 38:Bathroom a bit tired and in need of an update (shower in particular not great). Parking quite cheap (€3/day) but a bit of a pain because the access road leading to the hotel is small and difficult to manoeuvre with drop offs, parked cars and goods vehicles, etc.

Review 39:Great location with stunning sea views; lovely sun terrace area; friendly staff; clean and comfortable rooms; decent breakfast. Best hotel in jandia we've found so far and - with a few updates here and there (eg bathroom) - it would be a great hotel.

Review 40:Bathroom could do with a being modernised, the shower in particular.

Review 41:Location is amazing, right over the beach & next to a good choice of restaurants. Great sea view from the room balcony. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Good breakfast buffet.

Review 42:The favouritism of the German guests. Haven't a problem with a German people, do have a problem with being ignored whilst Hassan ran around after them. Topping up their wine whilst my husband never did get his order of a beer....we gave up...Didn't like cats in the dinning room or chef feeding them. Bar and outside areas were soulless no atmosphere or no quiet background music...only music was from the sea.

Review 43:All rooms have sea views which is lovely However if you are at the left hand side of the hotel you will firstly see tatty roofs . This hotel would probably be lovely if you were German because it does favour that nationality. Lucia in the dining room was lovely, big smile for everyone, and the same service for everyone, shame she was the only one.

Review 44:Problem with wi fi

Review 45:Superb location, friendly and helpful staff, very good food, perfect place for a quiet relaxing beach holiday.

Review 46:hotel for old people with elevator to swimming pool, bad food, not so good service, old furniture. Not recommended for young people

Review 47:View

Review 48:Location on the beach, so comfortable, lovely friendly staff and nice pool and facilities.

Review 49:Wifi cutting out

Review 50:Location

Review 51:Location excellent. Sea view.

Review 52:Quite evenings

Review 53:Fantastic beach setting

Review 54:Awesome place for rest and relaxation, beautiful location, faultless.....!

Review 55:Just could not justify the room rate, also far from five star

Review 56:Location was fabulous ,and the food was good also.

Review 57:As per previous comment, a kettle and tea bags would have been handy. Our room did have a good fridge (which we used for our own wine from local supermarket) so we could have got our own fresh milk. As 99% of guests to the resort were German, local restaurants struggled with English (and some were staffed by Germans rather than Spanish) and there was a lot of smoking. If this bothers you, go to Corralejo at other end of island which is 99% British! But not a major issue for us as we just wanted rest and relaxation.

Review 58:Loved the view from the sun/pool terrace. We received a free upgrade to a suite (room 55) which we were then concerned to find was on the bar/terrace level so it's "private" terrace lacked privacy. However the benefit was that we could walk directly around to the pool! There was also a gate at our end of the terrace and then a short path down to the promenade/beach so easy access. Hotel very peaceful, 99% of guests being "Saga" age Germans.

Review 59:It was bit overpriced for what it is not worth 325pounds per night though.

Review 60:it was absolutely lovely hotel.i went with my wife and 2children and we loved it.Staff was so polite and nice.My kids love the sun loungers there and the view from the room and from the pool was really nice!!!!!!

Review 61:We had to ask for a kettle for the room. It would be nice for this to be a standard item with tea/coffee available in your room.

Review 62:The location of the hotel is excellent with amazing views over the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shops all within walking distance.

Review 63:Bathroom little tired, no atmosphere in bar where entertainment was.

Review 64:Excellent location for beach and restaurants. Lovely to sleep witn patio doors open and sound of the waves.

Review 65:The Germans reserving all the best sunbeds, starting from anunbelievable 2 hours before dawn, an then rarely using themthroughout the day

Review 66:Location, food, comfort

Review 67:Lovely hotel, perfectly positioned above the beautiful beach at Morro Jable and close to a good collection of seafood restaurants. Totally different from what we saw of the rest of Fuerteventura whioh comprises large resort hotels. All the rooms at the El Palacete face the sea, the infinity pool and the loungers are perfectly positioned and the beach can be reached in less than five minutes.

Review 68:Nothing

Review 69:Location, near to sea front and accessibility to beach and local shops/ restaurants

Review 70:Beds very hard

Review 71:Location v near restaurants and beaches lots of sun beds no hassle getting them

Review 72:The location of the hotel is fantastic and the rooms are very spacious and clean with a beautiful sea view.

Review 73:No Guinness

Review 74:Winter sunshine ,good food ,super staff magic hotel
