Reviews for Hotel zum Erdinger Weissbräu

Review 1:Tried to give us a pokey double room when we paid for a triple. Nothing like the photos. Definitely not the type of room you want with a 4 year old and luggage for 3. After complaining, they miraculously found a spacious triple room for us. I felt like they tried to rip us off which spoilt the 2 night visit for me even though it was a lovely place otherwise. The restaurant can be very busy.

Review 2:Great location! Lovely walk along the river and found an amazing little zoo and great play area. Cafes close by. Breakfast was good too. Very lucky to have a car space out the back as it wouldn't have been easy to park elsewhere.

Review 3:Air conditions didn't work and staff didn't care about it. Staff just played the time that they shouldn't have to deal with the unpleasant customer. I guess that the hotel has never maintained the air condition. Totally unacceptable behaviour in the four star hotel.

Review 4:Parking in the garage with direct access to the lift.

Review 5:We were told the rooms had A/C. It was 96 degrees. However, the A/C didn't work at that high of a temp I was told the next morning. We slept with the window open and none of us got any sleep.

Review 6:Wait staff very friendly. Good location.

Review 7:Munich is accessible by S-Bahn in about 40 minutes. But the station is only a ten minutes' walk from the hotel. Two employees proved a little impatient with our German (which is not that bad ;-)).

Review 8:Excellent location in a small charming town. Colourful Bavarian hospitality. Lively atmosphere. Friendly, well-trained staff.

Review 9:I have stayed at this hotel several times before. However, this time, there were problems. First, the air conditioning in my room never worked, and even with the windows open, it was very, very warm all of the time. I reported it to the front desk several times but was told that everything was operating properly. Not true. Also, the friendliness of the front desk is not quite as welcoming as in my previous trips. Perhaps this is due to so many demanding travelers from all over the world.

Review 10:The room was comfortable (except for the non functioning air conditioning), and the bed was okay. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping staff was superb at doing their job of making up the room every day. The extra breakfast is worth the money, and the restaurant is absolutely superb in offering the very best of international cuisine. And the beer...well what can I say? It's amazing!

Review 11:1 the staff seemed rather indifferent. the day we arrived the air conditioning in the room was not functioning . it was more comfortable out in the street than in the room. we complained and the staff promised a technician would come. till the time we left two days later no one came and the air conditioning was still performing poorly. on top of that we had to ask multiple times at least for fans and that took them forever to bring and only because we insisted. 2. the wifi connection was poor. it is unacceptable that a connection needs to be established every hour, and not once in a stay. the

Review 12:the location right in the middle of the town

Review 13:The air conditioning was not working. The light on the control was on, but it did NOT cool the room. I reported this to the front desk before going out for the day, and was told maintenance would look into it in our absence. 5 hours later, we returned to a warm humid room. For the price paid, the a/c should have been cold. Fans were not even available (I asked). Fortunately, it rained the same evening, cooling outside, so we slept with windows open, and it made it tolerable.

Review 14:Beautiful hotel located in the heart of a very charming city. 15 minutes from the Munich airport. Restaurant food and Erdinger bier was delicious!

Review 15:Nice location with underground parking, large rooms, good restaurant with local beer on site. Flexible management ( we did not get room we have booked, but manager solved problem nicely and we were all happy after all )

Review 16:breakfast was good, but they charge for it and it was expensive. Most hotels in Germany provide a breakfast. Also, they charge for parking. Frankly they would be better off charging a bit more for the room and including the above.

Review 17:beautiful hotel...great restaurant...

Review 18:Not at this place not one bad thing to say Not one thing since 1985 We are going back for our fall hiking for another 5 nights the end of September if that tell you anything.

Review 19:Price, location, friendly staff who we've known for years, great rooms and bed! Parking easy and free and THE FOOD!! Half board is a must as her cooking is fabulous!

Review 20:Pictures lication in the center of little German beer town. It's worth to visit for couple of days (or maybe weeks). Lots of attractions around including biggest thermal spas.

Review 21:The breakfast room has a strong and strange smell maybe from the wood or many years of people smoking. Put me off my breakfast.

Review 22:Magnificent Bavarian hotel only 10 minutes from Munich airport. Clean and friendly with safe underground parking. Great value for money!!!

Review 23:Minors, but still; The shower-head didn't work properly. Breakfast without expensive add-on's is much less then to be expected from a four star hotel.

Review 24:A great Bavarian experience of local hospitality. The rooms were **** , and location perpect for almost everything, both locally and for Munich trips. Close to the airport.

Review 25:You're very close to Munich airport but get to experience a traditional Bavarian town and guesthouse with great pub serving excellent, authentic Bavarian cuisine

Review 26:I wish I could remember the front desk girl who was so kind. (Stephanie?). She was able to answer ALL our questions and was so patient when we would lose our keys or had newbie questions (it was our first trip to Europe). The hotel was great, we loved the little town!

Review 27:The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it to be served Even though the restaurant was full, we as hotel guests got special seats and still the food came quick and fresh The room was really clean, the bathroom very big and the shower nice. The room made you feel really comfortable. You could even order different types of pillows - whatever you wanted. Breakfast was also excellent, with 20 different types of tea, pancakes and freshly cooked eggs. One of the best breakfast buffets we ever had. The staff was extremely friendly and open for any wish or recommendation

Review 28:The WiFi was very bad. We had to ask at reception for WiFi tickets, which were issued incorrectly and expired before the end of our stay. As a guest you only get a 100MB pass, which is nothing. So many ports are blocked so you cannot stream or download [no youtube or netflix]. There was a great selection of TV channels, but not enough english [i think there was one]. While reception staff were very friendly, the restaurant staff were not as welcoming [probably busy]. When booking, I would have liked to have known that it was a holiday [everything was closed]. I know it is standard in Germany to close everything on a Sunday, but the things we wanted to see were closed every day we were there due to the holiday. The Website was poor. The english translations were very lazy and did not make sense.

Review 29:the staff were fantastic and helped us in every way they could. The town is gorgeous and idilic. If you go, you must visit Stadtpark. The hotel rooms are spacious and bathrooms are very modern. Beds were big, but very soft - matter of preference. Even though everything was closed during our stay, we had so much fun walking around and exploring the town. There are many trails and walks, forests/parks/rivers, it is just an amazing place. We are already planning our next trip to Erding.

Review 30:elderly lady who served us our free beer(which was included) at the bar was very unfriendly and rude maybe time to retire

Review 31:staff was very friendly, breakfast was fantastic

Review 32:A bit expensive probably due to the final Oktoberfest weekend in Munich

Review 33:Superb room. We had the romantic suite. Better for a married couple rather than two men but very nice nevertheless. Great location in Erding and not far from the Therme spa and the Brewery.

Review 34:Difficult to get a/c controlled Difficult to check out early. Staff doesn't arrive at reception desk until 7:00am. We had an early flight and cut it very close to getting to the airport on time. Be mindful of this when booking - didn't think that would be a problem.

Review 35:Hotel was in a good location, beautiful rooms. Didn't get to stay as long as we had hoped. Very convenient to the Therme Spa and a quick drive to the Munich airport from the hotel made us choose this location.

Review 36:The staff was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is excellent and the beer is the best weissbier in the world. The room was big, comfortable and clean, the staff will do all they can to help your trip to be perfect. Definetely will go again, book the brewery tour in time!

Review 37:The parking situation is not the best. Unless you can snag a space in the very limited area behind the hotel, you have to drive around a bit to get to the underground garage which is a bit tight to get into and out of. Parking in the lot is not free, but there is a secure direct passage from the underground garage into the hotel. The breakfast buffet is OK, but not up the same standard as I have had in other non-chain hotels in Germany.

Review 38:I have been a return guest at this superb hotel since September, 2010. The front desk staff is always very friendly and helpful, and can answer just about any question about the shopping in Erding as well as Munich. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and clean, but just like other non-chain hotels in Germany, King size beds do not exist. I am six feet tall, and I have found the beds to be very comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves excellent regional Bavarian food as well as a more generic continental menu. The Erdinger Weißbräu brewery is located at the end of town, and their house beer is as fresh as you can get. The best light and dark Weißbier I have ever tasted. The restaurant buffet is good, but I prefer to have a true Bavarian Breakfast; Weißbier, Weißwürst, and a delicious freshly baked pretzel. Highly recommended!

Review 39:Although rooms are very well equipped and spotlessly clean, there is no kettle or tea/coffee so if you like a hot drink first thing before heading down to breakfast take a travel kettle.

Review 40:Lovely hotel and lovely town ideal for a weekend break combined with a visit or two to Munich city centre. Everything is spookily spotless almost like a film set. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants, with good food once over the language barrier.

Review 41:There's no wifi in the room. I think this is not admissible ina hotel of this category. Please check this because people needwif to work.

Review 42:Is a very good hotel and well situation with parking.

Review 43:The parking was difficult to figure out at first.

Review 44:Erdinger beer was the real attraction so we stayed here prior to our tour the next day. It worked out great!

Review 87:Nice room and good location.

Review 88:Location, staff, THE Staff costumes, Fabulous food, Atmosphere, Beers, wines, cleanliness, all new, size of the rooms. Paradise.

Review 89:In center of the city Parking Beer

Review 90:Wifi was non-existent in our room, and the mattresses were really cheap and uncomfortable.

Review 91:Location was superb and enjoyed the welcome free drinks

Review 92:Difficulty in locating route to hotel car park on arrival

Review 93:First class hotel excellent and busy restaurant. Good breakfast if slightly overpriced

Review 94:Small bath in the room

Review 95:The location in the center of town Available parking Large rooms Generous breakfast

Review 96:Bit noisy with the window open because of the street noise.

Review 97:The pretzel soup in the restaurant was great! In fact, the staff and the cuisine were top notch. The beer was Wunderbar! We had an early flight on our departure day and the hotel made sure that we got to the airport in fine form. Room was spotless and very comfortable. We fly in and out of Munich airport frequently and will stay here again.

Review 98:Very clean room, but people came back late we can hear people laugh around 2am. We requested quiet room and it was away from elevator but still noisy. Overall it was a great experience.

Review 99:The level of insulation is very low, I was awakened by the noise of people talking in the corridor, as if they were in my room, as well as the noise of flushing water from the rooms upstairs and next to mine. Breakfast disappointed me from the start by a small variety of food, but later under a beautiful napkin I going a small menu for omelets, pan cakes, etc. I still wonder why breakfast menus should be put under the napkins while serving the tables.

Review 100:The hotel is situated in the historic center. Although it is situated in the very center of the city on a tiny narrow street, behind the building there is a spacious garage. The personnel was very friendly. The rooms are very clean and relatively big. As a resume the hotel is fine for one night as an alternative to the airport hotels.

Review 101:Access to car parking site is a bit complicated.

Review 102:Great location, very clean and comfortable room. In the restaurant, food is acceptable but good variaties of beer.

Review 103:First room I was given there was a smell of previous guest smoking and had issue with poor quality wifi in room

Review 104:Very Nice historical hotel, facilities high quality,

Review 105:Car parking site a bit complicated.

Review 106:Excellent location, comfortable room. Food is not great but reasonable Bavarian food. Beers are great. First time I saw and tasted a Bavarian single malt whisky called Syrs and was not bad.

Review 107:Very clean and comfortable The restaurant and bar are very nice. The breakfast is very good. Love the traditional Bavarian style of the hotel as well!

Review 108:There was a lot of garbage can noise and talking in the morning outside our window. The girls at the front desk didn't seem to be enthused. Check in and check out, the girls never smiled or told us to enjoy our stay. At check out, we weren't asked if we had enjoyed our stay, or if everything was good. Kind cold.

Review 109:Everything about this hotel was good. It felt new. Very clean. Great location for flying.

Review 110:Nothing

Review 111:I have stayed at this wonderful hotel several times. Wonderful and friendly staff, very clean and beautifully appointed guest rooms and perfect location in the middle of Erding. Also the best Weißbier you will ever taste!

Review 112:Tea & coffee facilities would have been a nice touch.

Review 113:The Hotel zum Erdinger Weissbrau lived up to our expectations and more. Prime location in a beautiful Bavarian town. You must try the fantastic restaurant and bar.

Review 114:There was nothing that I didn't like.

Review 115:Traditional and comfortable. Although the hotel is obviously about the erdinger beer, it wasn't overpowering for my wife who found the hotel very pleasurable.

Review 116:Limited English could be challenge for a non-German speaker. Not acomplaint, just a fact. Extra fees for parking and Wi-Fi in room. Ourroom, on the street side, was very quiet with windows closed, but noisywith windows open.

Review 117:Excellent location in center of Town. Close to Munich Airport. Room wasfresh and up to date.Very accommodating staff. Food a bit heavy, butwell prepared and quite delicious. Beer is the specialty, but great wineby the glass.

Review 118:I booked through Booking.com. When we arrived with our 3 children in the evening, the receptionist didn't find our reservation and the hotel was fully booked. He offered us a regular double room for our big family instead of suite that we ordered. And then he started calling to the nearest hotels without even asking us to try to find a room, but in fact there are no good hotels nearby. So we had to stay in a small double room with 3 children. As a compensation they served us a free dinner, breakfast and gave a free minibar. I suppose that it was all they could do in such a situation. So it is better in this hotel to reconfirm by phone before arrival whether they received your reservation or not.

Review 119:I like this hotel, we stayed here a few times before. It is very convenient when you travel through Munich airport. Very good restaurant with good Bavarian food.

Review 120:Too much cigarette smoke; they let guests and staff stand next to every door outside to smoke and smoke pours inside your room when you open the windows.

Review 121:Nice room Clean Good food Good beer nice staff
