All rooms at the 4-star Wellnesshotel Auerhahn feature satellite TV and a minibar. The rooms either face Lake Schluchsee or the pine countryside of the Black Forest.
A rich breakfast buffet, a vegetarian lunch buffet and dinner (set menus or buffets) are served in the Bollenhut and Tannenzäpfle restaurants, which are both traditionally furnished in a typical Black Forest design. The Backbord bar is open every evening.
The 21500 ft² spa area at the Auerhahn has a salt water grotto, Finnish sauna, aroma sauna and steam room. The fitness and aerobic programs include yoga, water gymnastics and Nordic Walking.
The Hotel Auerhahn is a 15 minute drive from the ski station on the Feldberg, the highest mountain in the Black Forest. Guests receive a discount at the Hochschwarzwald golf course in nearby Titisee.

Review 1：Not at all friendly with English speakers. We ordered superior roomwith balcony. It was the most noisy balcony facing a lake ever. Notfriendly for disabled at all. Charged 80% for the daily rate for thelast day cancelation out of 7, Although it has been announced in theday of arrival.

Review 3：The wellness treatments were a little basic in my opinion - catering primarily for relaxation rather than manual therapy. However they were reasonably priced. The location, being on a busy highway, disturbs the serenity a little. With the windows closed you can't hear a noise, however we found it impossible to sleep with the window open. As i speak very limited German, i found it difficult to communicate with the staff.

Review 4：The food is incredibly good - 5 star quality. Very tasty and healthy! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The all-inclusive package for the meals is excellent value for money.

Review 7：Alcoholic drinks not included with dinner, and nobody told us this on arrival. Prices on alcohol are very high.

Review 9：In the Finnish sauna, only the personal is allowed to throw water on the rocks. It happens only 2 time a day at 16:00 and 17:00. It creates a crowd of people at these time. Outside the scheduled time, one has to wait at least 20 minutes before one starts sweating. Without steam it is not a real Finnish saune but only dissapointment. Personnel also do not leave the water bucket upon request. For a hotel that is marketed as Spa, it is unacceptable. There are spa hotels in the region, which are twice less expensive (taking in account only accomodation without pension) and at the same time offering more to their guests.

Review 10：This hotel is not on the lake - a busy 'landstrasse' runs between it and the lake - not as pictured. The salt water grotto is a small 60-70cm deep 'pool' with plastic grotto 'rocks.' The large pool is also not as spacious as pictured. Overall, the advertising was misleading. The manager was disinterested in guests.
