Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:Proprietors were friendly and helpful and even helped me with my Spanish. Breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day.very quiet too so I got a good night's sleep.

Review 14:The hotel was a little hard to find as the address given is the main road. There is a set of steps that go up to it but getting the vehicles in the first time was challenging. All worked out ok though and really enjoyed our stay there.

Review 15:very clean and spacious. Close to all the bars and restaurants and tucked away off the main road

Review 16:The hotel is located just a short walk from the centre of Comillas. The room had a wonderful view and was very clean with a comfortable bed. The owner was very friendly and hospitable.

Review 17:Attention to our needs. The owner served our breakfast earlier then usual as we were travelling. Good quiet place. Good views. Green. Parking place. Perfect value.

Review 18:Too far from beach.

Review 19:Location walking distance from bars, restaurants and old quarter. Staff/owners very hospitable. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Parking on premises.

Review 28:It was a bit difficult to find initially.

Review 30:Beds not comfortable Awkward to find hotel at first

Review 31:location near to centre nice rooms and views good breakfast lovely staff

Review 32:None

Review 33:The view from the hotel was unexpected. The owners were very welcoming .A lovely start to our holiday.

Review 34:Friendly staff, comfortable and excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

Review 35:Very friendly staff, beautiful location, well appointed rooms

Review 36:Not suitable for people with walking problems as every were you turn are steep hill also didn't like the plastic sheet under the bed sheet it made you stick to the bed. These sheets are normally used for children to stop bed wetting

Review 37:We liked the Hotel & staff not far from the town centre

Review 38:Nada

Review 39:Very comfortable and spacious rooms. It was like being at home. Good views. Breakfast was good..a lot of choice and you could have as much as you wanted. Central location but quiet.

Review 40:We received a warning welcome. The position of this "habitationes rurales" is exceptional, from there you can see a beatiful landscape of Comillas. It is close to the Comillas centre and the "Caprichio of Gaudi". We had a very good breakfast.

Review 41:Difficult to find. Breakfast was average and the dining room was a bit of a tight squeeze. Breakfast is served from 9.00am, which I think is a tad late. Wi-fi signal in the rooms was very poor indeed. The hotel is built at the top of a very steep hill so if you are elderly or not that fit (and you don't have a car) you're going to find it tough. Some of the rooms are good while others were not so good (we had a great room, but my parents' room was a bit pokey and cold)

Review 42:Great staff and hosts. Very friendly and helpful but be warned - they don't speak a word of English. Not too far to stroll into town.

Review 43:Opening the window we found it quite dirty, the room itself and the surroundings were spotless

Review 44:Very well situated, close to center of the town. Nice breakfast, very nice staff.

Review 45:No real negative points. Just for info: the place does not serve lunch or dinner.

Review 46:The owners deliver an exceptional treatment, very charming. Beds and bathroom completely clean. WIFI works perfectly well (free). Breakfast is very good, especially the homemade "quesadilla" and "bizcocho". Walking distance from the centre (no more than 300m, though hilly as the village is hilly). There is free parking space at the hostel.

Review 47:A bit difficult to find with the one way system and v. narrow roads.

Review 48:Location.View over the town. Friendly staff.(Didn't speak English but communicated well) Excellent breakfast.Parking available.

Review 49:Plastic bottom sheets on the beds - however easy to remove which we did and they were left off for the rest of our stay.

Review 50:Traditional hotel - friendly staff, although broken converstations due to our lack of Spanish. Plenty of eating places, especially for fish dishes. Historical buildings to visit, the surrounding countryside, long sandy beach and small harbour all within easy distance to reach on foot.

Review 51:Very bad hotel!!!The position: Very difficult to find with the navigator also, very hard to reach by walk if you want go in the city center. Breakfast: very poor and always the same stuff. Room: Wet and mold, discreetly clean. Staff: NOBODY speak english. They give us a very wet and mold room, we asked a new room beacuse we was with our doughter 5 months old and i have asma problems telling that the room was wet, the owner answered me laughing: CANTABRIA IS WET!!!! Cantabria is not wet, the room was wet because attached direct to the ground! we asked two times more to change the room (that was available!!!), BUT ALSO THE OTHER ROOM WAS A BIT WET AND MOLD. I Really don't reccomend this hotel.

Review 52:Nothing!!!!

Review 53:The molton on the matress had a plastic cover on the bottom layer, which bothered us a bit.

Review 54:We enjoyed our days in Comillas at La Solana Montañesa. The room was spacious and cosy. The bathroom was comfortable. Breakfast was great with good coffee.

Review 55:Nothing

Review 56:Lovely location, walking distance to the town and the beach. Lovely view, peaceful. Very reasonable price, good breakfast and charming staff. Will come back

Review 57:we liked everything.

Review 58:lovely hotel! staff is very friendly, breakfast is decent, view from the hotel down to the town is beautiful, room is big.. it offered everything we would expect in a hotel in comillas with their own touch.

Review 59:A bit difficult to find on arrival, but you just have to follow the signs and you´ll get there. The sheets on the bed felt a bit like plastic, and made a lot of noise while turning around, felt a bit moist and sticky...

Review 60:Very friendly and welcoming staff, cozy atmosphere, great views, very quiet at night, good breakfast. Stayed in a room whit a big balcony with a small table and chairs - lovely. Privat parking on site. We actually decided to extend our stay because we enjoyed the place and the city. A great place to relax.

Review 61:Tricky road for cars

Review 62:Rooms ok, good breakfast (but fresh gread arrives after 9.30), friendly service (little English). Fine town with interesting attractions (Gaudi, university)

Review 63:Nice b&b-type hotel. A bit hard to find, up and down narrow streets. Very nice hosts, and even though their english or our spanish were not the best we felt very welcome. They even upgraded our room so that we got a wonderful balcony. Breakfast was basic but good. Free wifi, although a bit slow from time to time.

Review 64:The only downside that would stop us returning was, the beds have plastic under sheets that made you sweat and were uncomfortable and noisy.

Review 65:Beautiful location owners very friendly and helpful, good choice of breakfast. only 5 mins walk into the town and restaurants.

Review 66:Lovely room with a fabulous view over the town. Really friendlypeople who do not speak English but tried really hard to communicatewith us and underdstand our limited Spanish Very good breakfastRecommend most highly

Review 67:Not easy to find, up and down steep hills! Breakfast was rather uninteresting - coffee, however, was first class !! (see +comment)

Review 68:Basic, rustic, clean. Friendly family owners. Good location, close to town centre and restaurants. Excellent freshly made coffee. Comillas has many interesting sights, among them the University (English speaking guide can be booked in advance), Palacio de Sobrellano and El Capricho, a beautiful building/palace designed by the young Antonio Gaudi. A great surprise to find such a gem in this small town!

Review 69:Lovely hotel, clean, comfortable, quiet location. We were doing the Camino del Norte, and needed to get some clothes washed-the owners did our laundry for free.

Review 70:Little bit difficult to find but worth it!

Review 71:Very friendly staff and great value B&B, better than many 3 star hotels. Location great as close to town and quite close to beach but not noisy. Large room with balcony was a pleasant surprise.

Review 72:Cold room

Review 73:Window at bathroom

Review 74:Very rural Spanish , great hospitality, at breakfast you know you're in Spain! 5 minute walk to centre

Review 75:A bit on the side but well-specified access. Room was clean with a nice view.

Review 76:Slightly awkward access on fully loaded motorbikes in rain, because of steepness and slippery road surfaces. No problem for a car .

Review 77:Everything.

Review 78:Poor wifi, difficult to find without gps

Review 79:Quiet location, lovely rooms, helpful staff, great breakfast

Review 80:Friendly staff. Romantic style. Nice view around. Good breakast. Good navigation signs to hotel ib the town

Review 81:Very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and fresh.

Review 82:Lovely room with a fabulous view over the town. Really friendly people. Very good breakfast

Review 83:Great hosts! Very nice breakfast with home made cakes and plenty of choice. And with a great view of the architectural highlights of Comillas.

Review 84:Very friendly people who made us very welcome the hotel is in an excellent position in the town. I would stay there again and would recommend it
