Overlooking the beach of Playa de Palma, the Hotel Rodes is on the edge of Can Pastilla, near Palma de Mallorca, the capital of Majorca.
Stroll down to the beach from Rodes and relax on the fine sands. You can take a dip in the Mediterranean Sea here, or rent a bike and ride along the seafront promenade.

Review 1：Intermittent internet connection in room although always available to access in public area

You walk through the restaurant to the small reception desk for the hotel. There is not always a receptionist on duty, but other staff members 'multitask',capably. Hairdryers were available from the reception but are not in the rooms. Air-conditioning was very effective. Lovely seaview from balcony at front of hotel . I would return here.

Review 11：The outside of the hotel where there are dinning facilities was never cleaned. Cigarette ends, lemon peal, rubbish and a dead cockroach were under the tables. At least the ants disposed of the cockroach. Buy the end of the week it was not a place we wanted to eat. also we thought the food was expensive for what it was.

Wifi is free-of-charge butsign is very weak on 3rd floor, most of the times it did not work (inthe lobby it was good)

Review 16：Dark curtain is perfectly shuts out sunlight, so we can sleep well evenin the day in a totally dark room. Nice thing that there is a pc andprinter in the lobby so we can plan our excursions, print our boardingcards etc. There are sun-umbrellas at the lobby what guests can freelyuse, no need to buy ones.

Review 24：It was a short 15 Euro taxi ride from the airport, right on the beach, near plenty of tourist shops, restaurants, and bars. Bike rentals were available everywhere and made exploring the island easy and fun, and Palma was a short ride away (by bike or bus). Breakfast was included, and great!!

Review 25：On booking.com there is information that children under 2 in special beds are for free which turned out not true and they wanted extra 6 euro per day for it. When we refused to pay, lady at reception told us that room we booked is too small for child bed and we need to book larger one and of course more expensive. That's not fair practice and with one hundred other hotels around I definitely do not recommend this one for families and next time I'll easily find different one nearby.

Review 26：Localisation was great. Lady at reception helped with bags, which was great, but I'm not sure if it was pure help or regrets after not so pleasant welcome. Large terrace in rooms with sea view.

Review 27：The double room was a bit small, however, quite comfortable. A bit annoying that the airco blows directly on the bed. Beach towels should be provided.

Review 28：Excellent attention at the front desk! Good and varied buffet breakfast. Location cannot be better!: 5 min from the airport, just in front of the beach, restaurants and services all around. It was really nice that we were allowed to take a shower in one of the bedrooms, after spending the day at the beach and before leaving for the airport, even though we had checked-out hours ago. This hotel is an excellent value for money and we would recommend it 100%!!

Review 33：the most noisiest hotel we have stayed ever (doors, bathroom, starway...), but despite of this, we would stay here again. there is a pharmacy next to the hotel, where you can buy ear-plugs and the problem is solved… rather a 2.5 star hotel instead of 3 stars, but for this price it is worth to stay here.

Review 63：If you like the beach, it is really nice. It is locating just right in front of the beach, (30 secs walk). There's a coach at the back road of the hotel, and it takes you only 5-10 mins to the airport. I stayed for 3 nights and I'd never hear any noise from the plane. Choices of restaurants along the beach, but you would expect that is a bit more expensive then then other areas, which is fair enough for tourist areas.

Review 64：could do better in the breakfast, ie the fried and scrambled eggs were very unappealing, and the cereal selection was poor. The room lighting is very stark.

Review 78：We had a room with interior view. Interior view is not a garden orstreet view. All you can see is air condition's pipes. The room isvery small. The room was clean ed around 2:00 pm, when we normallyreturned back from the beach. We asked the cleaning lady not to cleanthe room 2 times, because of this hour. Generally the hotel offers avery clean 2 stars conditions. In spite of all this, we will like toreturn to this hotel, but in a room with a sea view.

Review 82：Overall the positive aspects clearly outweigh the negatives, but we did bump into a few things to improve. First, hotel has poor soundproofing - especially in the bath room, all the voices from the room next to you will carry over to your room through ventilation. And I mean ALL voices, even normal speech. For a couple of days we had a rather loud neighbor in the room next to us, and for that time it occasionally felt like we had a 3rd person in the room as the voices were so loud and clear. The room door has no soundproofing either, so voices from the hallway and stairs may wake you up at night. Second, there is no mini-bar / fridge in the room, which is of course understandable for a 3-star hotel, but would be a great addition nevertheless. Third, safe box rent costs you 2 € per night (cash only) - this we found a little bit tacky/cheap and not very professional - why not just add like 1 € for regular fares and offer it by default for everyone? Fourth, reception was empty when we needed to checkout, there was no one to serve us. We rang the bell on the desk for calling a staff member but no one came. It was 7:30am and we were in hurry to catch our plane. Although we had paid the room in advance (which they require), it would've been nice to return the room key to someone and make sure everything goes properly in that regard. After a while we did get someone from the restaurant to handle our room key to, and we still caught our flight with no problems.

Review 83：There was so much to like about Rodes! Hotel has been recently renovated and its star rating raised from 2 to 3, and very righteously so. Rooms and public areas are neath with modern look and feel. We had a twin room with balcony and sea view, it was very comfortable, although a bit on the small side (had to move the bed a little bit to make more space in front of the closets). The location is excellent for combining beach and city vacation; you are directly on the beach, there is only a pedestrian promenade separating you from the Mediterranean. You can catch at least three buses (15, 25, 30 or 31 if I recall) to Palma center just a couple of hundred meters from the hotel. Bus 15 is the most frequent one and takes you to Palma in about 20-25 minutes for 1 €/person with 10-journey ticket. Also airport access is very convenient with the bus 21, which takes about 10 minutes and costs 2.50 €/person. Due to nearness of the airport, there is some aircraft noise but it's not disturbing, more like background noise. Can Pastilla itself offers a lot of tourist shops, restaurants and supermarkets near the hotel. The resort itself is much quieter and less hectic than S'Arenal on the other side of the bay. The sea-view rooms have nice balconies with two chairs and a table and good privacy from the neighbors. Breakfast was good and varied to our taste, we found it as a positive surprise, and each morning there were something new, like new fruit added to the breakfast selection. Hotel staff is nice and they have good customer service skills, especially the reception woman. All in all, I would say that the price/quality -ratio in Rodes and Can Pastilla is great compared to many other resorts and hotels around Mallorca at least in the high season. Very much recommended!

Review 94：We were surprised how German the hotel was. We landed in Spain andjoined a hotel full of Germans! This affected the food somewhat and alsomeant that the hotel was super clean and efficient.

Review 109：What a lovely hotel! The location was just gorgeous, but make sure that you pay the little extra to get a sea view. Even on a windy day, the balcony was warm enough to sit on and watch the surfers. The staff were friendly and polite, The bedroom was basic but very clean and I am fussy! Breakfast was lovely and there was still plenty on the buffet at 10am, so you don't need to get up early! We went at the end of October and still managed to come back with a tan! Can Pastilla was quiet but just a short bus ride away from Palma. We also liked the fact that the airport was less than 10 minutes away too.

Review 113：The hotel is excellent in terms of location, service, facilities andvalue for money. Its 2 mins from the public bus stop (el cid) from whereyou can get both the bus for the Airport (#21 every 30 mins) and to goto the City (#25, 15 every 15 mins) The public bus service is quite goodand fare is 1.5 eur only. The Airport Bus is 2.5 eur. The stop for theother distant areas is Can Pastila (next to Burger King) which would be5 mins walking from the hotel. Many people have complained about thepublic transport from Palma and Can Pastila, but I would say if you canplan your day trips in proper way, you should not face any issues and donot need to take even the Taxi (although comparability cheaper inSpain). We stayed for 3 days and always availed of the public busservice, they were not much to complian about. The hotel location wasexcellent, it was just almost next to the beach and the sun beds wereall over the place and very easy to get. Lots of crowd and people spenttheir holidays and vacation on the beach for the whole day almost. TheBreakfast was of decent quality and nice although with out any variationfor the days. Was great staying in Rodes and would come back again infuture. Had a great fun filled holidays.

Review 114：The cleaner asked us to leave the place every day at 2 pm when we werehaving rest (as it is too hot in the afternoon) and we had to adjustourselves to her schedule. Rather far from night clubs, if you want somefun - it is better to go to the other part of the town or to Magaluf.

Review 120：Friendly staff, small hotel where you just feel good. The view from the rooms with sea view is beautiful. Rooms clean, close to market, public transportation, restaurants... Good food. Small hotel on a quiet side of the beach, for us it was just the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday. If you can take a room with sea view, you should, these are much nicer than the ones with inside view.
