Reviews for Hotel Storchen
Review 1:very small bathroom, no hairdryer, no fresh fruit or fruit salad for breakfast, quite loud with the windows open
Review 2:good location, spacious, new room, friendly staff
Review 3:Not enough parking space. No hotel restaurant for dinner. Thereceptionist recommended us to go to a partner hotel nearby. But therestaurant was full and provided no possibility to book a table forlater evening.
Review 4:Small and comfortable hotel.
Review 5:road noise was horrendous, no phone in room as advertised, locked up early evening had to use back entrance.Woke up every morning at 7.30 with builders noise from next but one room. Should not have hotel status at all, more like hostel and also top price of all 5 hotels used on trip and poorest in all ways!!! Also no lift which could be a problem for older guests, who were checking out after one night!
Review 6:the bed
Review 7:Price per night was a little high but given the nice breakfast and location it wasn't a big deal.
Review 8:Friendly and helpful staff and great location about two minutes from the Gruener Tum and Frauentor in the old city where a Penny Markt is also located. The room is modern with a nice private bath. Breakfast had high quality items and very nice pretzel bread rolls. The distance is about 10-15 minutes from the train station by foot. Would stay again.
Review 9:They have just few private parking places but you can park near the hotel (30-50 meters away) for free between 18:00 till 09:00.
Review 10:Clean and quiet. Really close to the city center (old city) that have many places for shopping/dine. It's have free WiFi (and it's fast!).
Review 11:Furniture, carpet and all interior very old and very used. Mildew in bath room over-painted with white colour etc. All cleaning does nor more help on 40 years old furniture, very worn and full with spots. Location direct on main trafic road. EUR 120 overpriced for double room in April... 80 might have been adequate...
Review 12:Friendly staff and cleaning ok.
Review 13:The first night I was at the front of the hotel. These rooms are right on the main road and are noisy!
Review 14:When I moved to the rear of the building it was quiet (no road traffic noise). Good location
Review 15:The only thing that I didn't like was if you arrive after 10 PM in order to check in, you have to inform them by email, or even calling. Because after 10 PM, the reception closes and there only a note on the door informing you must go to another hotel to get your key. There is a horrible map too, showing the location. They could improve this map. This is the only thing I didn't like. In general way, I liked it and I recomend for other people.
Review 16:I enjoyed staying in Storchen Hotel. The room was very good and clean. The team is very kind.
Review 17:Curtain did not cover windows height or width, TV old 14" CRT, bed creaked badly, though reasonable mattress on timber slat system that needs waxing.
Review 18:Excellent location near main pedestrian area, sound building, good breakfast but let down by some old detail furnishings.
Review 19:Water never stopped running in toilet our whole stay. Told the staff the first day, they just said to close the door to keep the noise down. The lights were so dim that you could not read in the room. Old tv faced a wall about 3 feet away, impossible to watch.
Review 20:The room was quite small, considering the price was quite moderate to high.
Review 21:The staff was very helpfull. They vere really good and patient with kids.
Review 22:The hotel is located at an intersection of one of the busiest streets in town so it is not the quietest location.
Review 23:a narrow bad
Review 24:location, silence, clean
Review 25:the shower gel could have been replaced sooner and the rooms were very basic
Review 26:room is generally clean and 24 hour access is good.
Review 27:The hotel has only 2 or 3 park places.
Review 28:Great room and service
Review 29:no elevator very less parking lots
Review 30:Breakfast food, room service, poor wifi signal and adjacent road traffic
Review 31:Reception lady communication is good
Review 32:I booked two rooms and got only one. Booking.com did not workwell so far
Review 33:No lift for seniors. No ac. No fan, not much soap or shampoo
Review 34:Breakfast, staff. Location
Review 35:A bit down at heel. Former brewery has seen better days.
Review 36:A bit noisy but that was expected given the location. No hairdryer in the room.
Review 37:Clean, comfortable and central.
Review 38:The hotel is very close to the center of the old town center. We were there to look into the background of family heritage. My husband's family came from a small settlement just outside of Ravensburg, and the recorders came to us from a Church in Ravensburg.
Review 39:"Free parking" but tiny car park with room for only 3 or 4 cars and always occupied requiring parking on street by parking meter between 9am and 6pm. No lift. Room adequate, but small. Traffic noise necessitated keeping windows closed.
Review 40:Central location for exploring the town centre. Reasonably priced and clean. Pets allowed and without extra charge.
Review 41:Reached on a Sunday afternoon after a long flight. The hotel was locked out with NO staff at all. Had to make an emergency phone call before somebody from the hotel could be contacted and keys handed over. Took more than an hour to enter the hotel!! The whole of Sunday, there were no staff or guests at the hotel, which resembled a ghost house. Absolutely not recommended for business travellers, especially ones who cannot speak German, and NEVER reach on a Sunday. The situation improved during the weekdays.
Review 42:Reasonably eaquipped & clean rooms. Centrally located.
Review 43:There is not refrigerator in the room
Review 44:friendly,nice staff!
Review 45:Staff speaks just a little english, but are still friendly
Review 46:Located near the city center; good value for money
Review 47:wi- fi was not working all the time
Review 48:friendly stuff
Review 49:Bad beds, noisy, no free parking, location in the middle of biggest trafficjunction, simple breakfast.
Review 50:Near to citycenter
