Reviews for Villa La Jamisa

Review 1:no water, coffee or tea in the junior suite....in this standard is provided mostly as a complement. A kettle and Microwave is available. The bath plug was missing...I booked extra the junior suite for the nice bath but to take a bath unfortunately wasn't possible... :o

Review 2:perfect view to the village, very quiet, close connection to the village mijas, just 10 min. by walk, very friendly owner, very clean, nice garden...

Review 3:Up a very steep hill from the town of Mijas although not a long walk We were fine with this but may not suit everyone

Review 4:Wonderful views and very relaxing start to our holiday, only seemed to be a few people staying, very peaceful Liked the self catering aspect as could breakfast when we wanted to

Review 5:Villa la Jamisa is up a very steep hill. if you are not fit then a taxi or car is your only option. Although advertised as being available throughout, there was no WiFi signal inside the apartment. The one bedroom apartment was small but adequate although the narrow spiral staircase would not be suitable for the infirm.

Review 6:Nice gardens. Nice view.

Review 7:Walk up the steep hill to the Villa was a chore in the heat. Not good in the dark either. All manageable though.

Review 8:Small and friendly!! Fantastic views and loved the peace and tranquility!! Thomas has the Villa ticking over nicely.

Review 9:Villa had a shared balcony when description implied it was your own balcony - self catering facilities were poor - the bedroom/villa is in need of an update as it could be really special if this was done

Review 10:The villa has stunning views looking out over the hills and towards the sea - easy access to Mijas village - sun area has wonderful views and nice pool - easy access to all that the Costas offer

Review 11:Nothing to report!

Review 12:Tomas was extremely accommodating and helpful. The villa was larger than expected and well equipped. Pool was cold but refreshing. The hill to the villa was steep so someone not so agile would find it difficult if they didn't have a car. If you need car hire....book it through Tomas.....great deals and well maintained cars. All in all a fab villa and Mijas is just simply beautiful.

Review 13:No bad experience at all. The sun lounger. cushions could have slightly cleaner.

Review 14:Location was perfect. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and particularly knowledgable about the area, restaurants and lots of useful tips and general advice. The view from Villa Jamisa was stunning and made the whole stay great value for money in its own right.

Review 15:We loved the stunning views and the space in the 3 bedroomed accomodation. Thomas - the owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly, he arranged for us to leave later on our last day. The surroundings were tranquil and it was a lovely walk into Mijas. We would definitely book again and we fully recommend a stay here!

Review 16:At the top of a very steep hill that we were unable to walk up soalthough there was free parking we had to spend out on taxis. Mostannoying was lack of wifi coverage in room or on our terrace even ,the property is advertised as having free wifi throughout and we choseit for this reason. The owner knew there was no wifi in our room soshould not mislead guests this way. Our room was shabby, not wellcared for..the covers on our chairs were loose, unsewn pieces ofstained material.

Review 17:The mattress , the view , the gardens were charming, it was tranquil

Review 18:Our room did not have air con and we used a fan at night but this was not very effective

Review 19:The location was ideal, pool area great, bedrooms really clean

Review 20:A beautiful set-up in a peaceful and tranquil location but within walking distance to the centre or Mijas Pueblo. Thomas was very welcoming and willing to pass on his knowledge of the local area.

Review 21:Friendly response to our problems with steps. Had I alerted the owner prior to check in we would have got a "level access" room. He changed our room the next morning. But

Review 22:Although not problem to us, villa on very steep hill. Facilities at first impression little basic but didn't spoil our break at all

Review 23:Tranquil location, views from terrace, relaxed atmosphere

Review 24:Very steep approach up narrow private road made driving interesting and walk into Mijas and back impossible for anyone with anything less than good mobility. Cups in kitchen had coffee stains inside - needed scrubbing before they could be used. Restaurant mentioned on website not open, prob due to fact that owners not in residence and property being managed in their absence. Meant no option but to either self cater using minimal facility or drive/walk to Mijas (see above)

Review 25:Fantastic views Swimming pool and gardens Quiet atmosphere

Review 26:Many staircases (not for people with difficulty walking) Very small TV set

Review 27:Quiet environment (except highway at coast) Kingsize bed Massage shower Nice staff Astonishing view(s) Comfortable sunbeds

Review 28:Very steep staircases, not for invalids!

Review 29:Otherwise nice little studio. Nice garden and views.

Review 30:Lovely garden and views.

Review 31:The view was amazing and really quiet.

Review 32:Fabulous views and lovely staff.

Review 33:everything was good.

Review 34:The pool. the Vista, the gardens and the friendly owner..

Review 35:Private, comfortable, excellent host in Thomas

Review 36:The room was small and cheap.. Not what I expected for that Villa.

Review 37:The pool, the view, the outdoor spaces of the Villa were pefect, like from a movie.

Review 38:nothing

Review 39:location views and friendly helpful owner

Review 40:Garden and view

Review 41:could not use towels at pool, charge for pool towels.

Review 42:beautiful location with stunning views.

Review 43:Kitchenette.

Review 44:Staff.

Review 45:Rooms need upgrading

Review 46:Staff

Review 47:Sauna not working

Review 48:Service from Tina was excellent

Review 49:Nothing to report.

Review 50:Peaceful! Relaxing!

Review 51:Location up a very steep access road. No hotel facilities at all for a drink or food. View from room was a car park, road and stone wall. Glass front door presented privacy issues.

Review 52:Pool area overlooking the valley and hills beyond was a great view.

Review 53:I am astonished at the 4 star rating - no toiletries, no daily maid service, make your own bed, empty your own rubbish, no restaurant and bar (despite what the write up says) pay extra for A/C (if you happen to have a room that has it - the double rooms don't) and run on a shoe-string with very few staff. Not worth the money, and the 4 star rating is a complete joke

Review 54:Mijas is a very pretty village and worth a visit.

Review 55:Inaccessability. Limited breakfast available. Restaurant not open. Unable to get a drink. Staff unavailable. High cost of La Jamisa transport to and from airport.(60 euros) Having to PAY for towels for sun bed! Poor mini kitchen facilities. Not really a suite as described. Having to share "our" terrace with residents next door. Long trek down and up hill to mini supermarket which was a lot more than the described 300m Not a great experience

Review 56:Beautiful gardens Amazing views. Very peaceful.

Review 57:The hotel is very nice. The hospitality of Thomas and jutta was very good. Breakfast very nice. Walking distance from mijas town. Beautifull views from our private terrace. These people (staff la jamisa) really do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We loved it and would certainly go back. Highly recommended !

Review 58:There was nothing that we didn't like and we would certainly go again. Having said this we would have appreciated access to a kettle in our double room - especially as no 'bar' facilities are provided by the owners (we bought our own kettle). We would also comment that the pool was acceptable there were times when it could have be cleaner - but it was never dirty enough to make us think twice about going in.

Review 59:The atmosphere was quiet, relaxing and tranquil away from the business of Mijas and yet within comfortable walking distance 5 - 10 minutes to the town centre. The hotel only accommodates a small number of guests (about 22) and there was never a sense of being over crowded. The owners were knowledgeable about the area and places to visit. The rooms were very clean. The views from the terraces were breath-taking as they looked over the Mediterranean - about 5 Km away. Massages were available and good. The gourmet meal was excellent.

Review 60:Can't think of anything

Review 61:Lovely setting, beautiful views of the Mediterranean; delightful hosts, clean and spacious accommodations (we had a little suite with tons ofstorage space), great food; relaxed atmosphere. Location is ideal forday-trips - close to wonderful sights like Ronda, Malaga, Gibraltar,Cordoba and Mijas itself is great fun!

Review 62:The location was perect, walking distance to the village. The owner wasvery friendly and helpful. The garden and the view were beautiful. Wehad a smaller room but it is worth the money we paid for it. Mijas isthe perfect holiday place in Spain.

Review 63:Mostly German TV channels. We would've appreciated the Spanish channels. When in Spain etc etc..... The weather so we couldn't make the most of the pool!

Review 64:Good size apartment which was clean and modern with a fully functional kitchen and separate room for the children. Great location within walking distance of the beautiful village of Mijas and access to fantastic walking. Friendly owner. Do take cash for payment, though.

Review 65:Size, price, quality, amenities, no AC, poor heat. He did not accept charge cards as stated on booking.com I'm not sure it can be described a hotel without daily cleaning, or clean towels, or soap.

Review 66:Nice view from the pool

Review 67:Wonderful views and outdoor accommodations. Friendly owner and very informative.

Review 68:the stairs

Review 69:the view

Review 70:Clean, quiet, beautiful gardens

Review 71:Fantastic location, superbly appointed with extremely helpful staff.

The Fine Print

Please note that children should be supervised while in the garden since the swimming pool is not fenced off. This property is not suitable for handicapped guests, since it has many stairs.
