Reviews for Hotel Residenz am Königsplatz

Review 1:Sound insulation could be better especially if the room is located on the first floor.

Review 2:A great family hotel with nicely decorated rooms. Very good location.

Review 3:Lovely well equipped and spacious rooms and very very helpful and friendly proprietors and staff. Good selection of breakfast food included in price. Speyer is a great location and very good for eating out.

Review 4:Conditioner in the rooms would be nice for a hot summer period.

Review 5:Staff. We felt really welcomed. We even did get a map with recommendations for our next day's biking trip. They really did their best

Review 6:Staff were very friendly and helpful in finding local sites to visit. The room was gorgeous - larger than I expected and very tastefully decorated. The shower itself was worth the price!

Review 7:- we asked for a room facing back yard at the time of reservation but we were just told at check in that this was the last remaining room facing the main street on ground floor - not very friendly staff at check in (Mrs...) - extremely hot room - poor selection at the breakfast definitely not worthy a 4 star establishment

Review 8:Nice room with comfortable bed

Review 9:Beatiful historic building. Walking distance to all interesting sights. Good room with high standard. Excellent breakfast. Nice and kind staff. Great saunas!

Review 10:The weather was warm and the windows needed to be open. The room was facing a busy, two-way street with heavy traffic at times, and also noisy garbage trucks and delivery trucks coming early in the morning. Also, American Express is not accepted for payment, only VISA, MC, and EC cards.

Review 11:The facilities were exceptional, big room, very nice furnishings, and nice bath. The breakfast was good, a parking garage next door for 2.50 Euro per day, and also close to shopping and restaurants.

Review 12:The room had no aironditioning. Therefore I had to open the window at night. But as neighbors the hotel has a vegetable Wholesale trade. That means that at 5 in the morning lorries came to load and unload. That was quite noisy...

Review 13:Staff Wifi Large and modern rooms

Review 14:The hotel is small and quiet in a great location close to the city centre, shops and restaurants. The breakfast is quite good and the friendly staff will cook you anything egg-based if you ask. The business room is very large, clean and tidy. There is also a sun patio.

Review 15:The only slight issue in my opinion is Water should be complimentary in the mini bar.

Review 16:The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't be more friendly. I ordered breakfast to my room every morning for no extra charge which was lovely as I was travelling alone.

Review 17:None

Review 18:Great design. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast

Review 19:The parking... It was too tight for the car

Review 20:The bathroom

Review 21:Excellent location. Easy access to autobahn with hire car. Good guidance about local restaurants.

Review 22:I didn't realise at the time that the staff didn't speak English and my German isn't very good.

Review 23:Building, rooms, breakfast, location

Review 24:Everything. A real classy place. This is what I mean as a "good stay".

Review 25:No air conditioning and the room temp was nearly unbearable.

Review 26:Most everything

Review 27:Clean, Quite, Friendly and Correct.

Review 28:The huge suitcase stand was positioned at the foot of the bed, where it presented a deadly obstacle to the shins when visiting the bathroom at night.Fortunately there was plenty of room for me to put it in a more practical position alongside the wardrobe.

Review 29:This palatial house has been converted into an excellent small hotel, with spacious, high -ceilinged rooms, but still looks like private house externally. There is an unobtrusive office for reception, but generally it does not feel like a hotel. The proprietor is most helpful and the standard of maintenance and cleanliness is excellent. There is even a WORKING extractor fan in the bathroom-a rare find in my experience. My room(11) was on the "ground"floor ,which in a palace like this is about six feet above street level. There was plenty of space with ample storage, even including a hat shelf(I wear a hat) above the coat hooks. There were two large windows, given privacy by shutters wired part-closed,and it was quite cool in hot weather. The street was quiet at night.I must mention the excellent lighting, with no CFL lamps anywhere. Breakfast,in the large cellar, had a good range and included hot items.

Review 30:This hotel is a home away from home. I arrives at 2.30am in the morning due to a delayed flight. I sent them an email to pre-warn them and they were there at the door waiting to carry my bags in. The best part was then for no extra cost they delivered breakfast to my room. I had a big working day ahead and it was just what i needed - thank you!

Review 31:No restaurant (but several close by), no car park (but public one close), No Airco?

Review 32:Very nice location (old hospital building fully renovated) with all equipment, very clean, WiFi, good breakfast.

Review 33:Great room. High standard of facilities. Staff could not have been more helpful

Review 34:Gym equipment not the best.

Review 35:Nice hotel with a personal touch, everyone friendly and helpful. Will stay again!

Review 36:No enough staff during the day

Review 37:Nice room in a nice hotel

Review 38:no complaints

Review 39:positive atmosphere
