Review 1：The screeching of furniture being dragged around the tiled floors from six thirty in the morning that went on for the next couple of hours but couldn't determine from which room - plus the continuous coughing from the same room for the same amount of time. There was some heavy smoker on the first floor and every day the smell of cigarette smoke filled the corridors that from a non-smokers view did not go down too well.

Located in centre, Walking distance of restaurants, shops, fantastic views. Friendly people. Easy driving distance to beaches. Great walking in the hills above town. great dining. Affordable prices. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Even the weather was unusaully warm and sunny. 25 degrees in middle of December! And only 25 minute drive from the airport.

Review 10：Only a 20 minute drive from Malaga airport- perfect for late night stop over. We arrived late at night but no issues as the keys were left for us in reception. This is a Hostal so nothing fancy but the standard of the room puts some chain hotels to shame. Really good value for money. Loved having a coffee machine in reception (1 euro for my early morning caffeine fix)
Review 11：Couldn't fault this small hotel at all. The location was perfect right in the centre but very peaceful once inside. The staff were very friendly and the room was immaculately clean with a great view from the terrace. Will definitely return again next year.
Review 12：This is an ideal location right in the heart of the village . The property is very clean and the lady on reception speaks good English and is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Room cleaned and bed was changed everyday.Cant wait to stay again next year

Review 14：Lovely find. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Our room was lovely and the hostel is right in the heart of Mijas which is a lovely town. Great value for money. Have a go on the electric tuk tuk tour. Well worth it and the hostel has a discount voucher to reduce the price from aound 12 Euros to around 9Euros each.

Review 24：Our 2nd stay at the El Escuda and once again we were made to feel so very welcome. It is central to everything in Mijas, the gardens near the entrance enhance the charm of the hotel and the view overlooking the Mediterranean is just beautiful. Such a completely enjoyable holiday once again.
Review 25：The friendly staff, the ideal location and the excellent value for money mean that we wouldn't stay anywhere else when we return to Mijas Pueblo. The view from our room (No. 10), which had a lovely balcony with sun loungers, was stunning. Nearby parking was only 1 Euro PER DAY!! Mijas and El Escudo are well worth a visit.

Review 31：Absolute value for money, we enjoyed our stay, yes finding it is a challenge but so easy really once you know, park car in multi-storey car park 1euro for 24 hours a bargain, get the lift up to 10th floor when you get out there is a plaza opposite go to the left walk to the steps, top of the steps walk straight through passed shops to the next plaza there is a blue sign on the left with H CUIDAD on it, follow it up to the corner, passed an Italian restaurant to the leather shop, up the steps passed a bar on the right, at the end is the ESCUDA HOTEL great place We will be going back in the near future

Review 35：We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Mijas Pueblo and it was everything we hoped for. We absolutely loved the village and Margo made our stay memorable and problem-free. We arrived after midnight and the key was waiting for us as promised and the location was central to restaurants and highlights. A beautiful view of Fengerola and the Mediterranean from our balcony, also. Thank you so much.
Review 36：We have visited Mijas twice before but did not explore this little passage leading to this delightful Hostal. El Escudo provided us with everything we required for a relaxing week, very central for walking out and exploring this beautiful little town.
Review 37：Sewer smell in bathroom due to missing p-trap on sinks and tub. Fixed it by plugging drains with ashtrays and water bottles. Could not get wifi connected in lobby or room.

Review 45：We stayed here for 2 nights it is right in the center of mijas, but it is so peacefull no noice at all. We were in room 9 it was very very nicely furnished with a great balcony with sea view. We will be booking again next year. Will be recomending to family and friends. Great great value.
Review 46：We liked everything. Guess for some staying for a longer period in the height of Summer it might be a little noisy late evening as there is a bar not far from it but it didn't bother us as we were out late like every Spaniard is during the hot months.

Review 122：This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel. It is an excellent stop over for an early morning flight from Malaga. We will definately be using it again and would not hesitate to recommend it. This time round we ate at The Aroma restaurant a short walk from the hotel at C. San Sebastian the food and service was excellent it really is alittle hidden gem.

Review 125：Near to bus station, you only have to go up some steps, walk less than 100 meters and you are there. Perfectly organized. Modern but nevertheless very cozy.
