Reviews for Hostal de las Heras
Review 1:The whole walk way is dark and cold , our room is so cold but it gets better when the heater is on , the stairs is very steep and narrow , it's hard for us to move around with our big backpacks
Review 2:The place is about 15 mins walk to the main train/bus station , and Burger King is just around the corner on the opposite street , we r lucky that the Christmas market is just behind the park and a groceries store nearby it The lady was really nice and friendly The room is fairly clean and everything functions well
Review 3:Hotel/Room in desperate need of a facelift. Elevated tank-pull flushtoilet is not sustainable and needs to be replaced with dual flush. Rooma bit cold in December. Thin walls/door: much noise coming fromother parts of the hotel. Sagging bed mattress needs to be replaced. Nofacilities, no lobby, just basic, dreary room. WiFi sucked: complete alltime sensitive online tasks before checking into Hostal Las Heras.
Review 4:Friendly, helpful staff.
Review 5:So expensive! Poor value for money. Room was so small, like sleeping in a closet under the stairs. So noisy, ALL through the night and morning. No sleep. So disappointed, feel totally ripped off.
Review 6:Rooms without views.
Review 7:This is basic hotel from yesteryear, the rooms are small and simple but perfectly adequate for the price. There is heater and a good fan. The internet works. Be realistic in your expectations and all will be fine. The receptionist was helpful and efficient, the location is great.
Review 8:The bed is not comfortable, you sink into it, the room is stuffy, the shared bathroom was fine and had hot water in the middle of the night also, sometimes good staff and location is not enough.
Review 9:Great location, close to the center, less than 10 min walking and you arrive to the main plaza, very nice receptionist, she was patient in explaining where to go and what to do in the evening.
Review 10:It was very noisy. Every noise from the hotel carries through the thin room door and extremely loud construction was also going on next door. Not super clean either and the staff was not overly helpful. Wi-fi was there, but very poor.
Review 11:It was nice having A/C. The price was great seeing too, but only because I got a discounted deal. It would not be worth normal full price.
Review 12:Shabby brown decor. Little care taken in choosing colour schemes and pictures. I hated the awful pics on my wall!
Review 13:Good central location. Desk and hot/cold water in room
Review 16:-Building is old: needs some refurbishing. -Heating did not work: in the dead of winter, room was very cold. We requested additional blankets but this only helped while we were lying down and were wrapped up in them. The rest of time, we had to stay bundled up. -No common area, no kitchen, no fridge available for guests.
Review 17:-Location is excellent: in the very center of town, close to all the key spots in the town center. Also, not far from the bus station, if you arrive by bus. -Given that Badajoz is a small town, it´s nice to have at least one decent hostel in town.
Review 18:Our allocated room didn't have a balcony as described. However we were able to switch once one became available. However
Review 19:Friendly staff, good central location Good value budget accommodation.
Review 20:Need to park car in close by underground car park. Best check with hostel the terms of 5€ per day parking offer - otherwise 15€ daily charge.
Review 21:English speaking helpful staff. Easy walking distance from shops and night-life.
Review 22:La recepcionista era mal humorada, y ha hecho comentários muy desadecuados. The receptionist was very unpolite and made very inadequate remarks.
Review 23:The receptionist was really friendly
Review 24:The air conditioning made a terrible noise so I moved to a room with a fan.
Review 25:The cost was very good.
Review 26:Close to the center of town. Close to supermarket
Review 27:no air condition in my room
Review 28:easy to clean bed sheet
Review 29:-
Review 30:Good wifi Great stuff clean room
Review 31:The bed was very noisy and uncomfortable, the shared bathrooms were old and dirty, the walls were extra thin and you could hear everything the neighbors did, no elevator.... Also on the last day, we went out before check out to have breakfast and the woman working in tbe reception was basically accusing us of leaving without paying! She was very suspicious and kept on insisting that we should return to pay (we still had our luggages in the room...) The staff didn't speak any English. I don't recommend this place unless you have really low standards and just want to get a cheap place.
Review 32:The price was cheap and the location was good.
Review 33:The location is brilliant, very central. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely go back here when in Badajoz. Great stay!

Review 40:Kind of cold building, but the A/C makes up for it!
Review 41:Nice location, very nice people and a quite fair price for the service.
Review 42:Hard to find a place to park the car nearby.
Review 43:Good location, in city center.
