Reviews for Hotel Moselschlösschen
Review 1:We thought reception staff needed to look happy, smile, look as if enjoying this role, our group of four all thought this, reception staff meet the guests on arrival and first impressions are remembered by all guests.
Review 2:Location, immaculate hotel, inside and out, restaurant staff charming, helpful, smart, fun, food exquisite!!! All able to understand / speak English. An excellent service and memorable time eating and drinking throughout our holiday.
Review 3:Picturesque, right on the Mosel River. Good breakfast buffet included in stay. The grounds were nice and well maintained. The other guests looked to be mainly older people / retirees on a spa holiday. Didn't see any other families at the time of our stay in early Sept. Room was very good with very large soaker tub. Would stay again if in area.
Review 4:The staff were so helpful after we had a car brake failure, helping us communicate with the garage and booking us emergency accommodation in Heidelberg. The hotel itself was lovely, we'll definitely go back.
Review 5:Room 542 (in Villa) had a roof window over the bed. Super - but it could not by darkened, so woke up very early. The ventilator in the bathroom could only be turned off by removing the keycard by the door. A light bulp was missing in the floorstand lamp.
Review 6:The room, hotel, graden, lokation and breakfast was superb.
Review 7:None
Review 8:Liked everything about this facility. Views of the river were beautiful, the facility is beautiful and well maintained, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The town is even beautiful.... Something out of a fairy tale.
Review 9:Most of the staff members were excellent but we encountered a few that were not. It was like we were interrupting them from computer work. Unfortunately, the wine festival we came to attend lasted until 5 am. We could hear it quite clearly. No fault of the hotel for that.....
Review 10:Excellent room, wonderful breakfast, provided champagne and rose petals at breakfast for a birthday, after second day had our names on a table....
Review 11:NOTHING
Review 12:It was an amazing stay - the view, the apartments, the tranquility, everything. The breakfast was delicious. I suggest to have a dinner at the hotel restaurant - really it is great food and a waiter Janukovics - it is a true professional in his job:)
Review 13:Would have liked a bath with shower, tea making facilities in the room and more bottled water. But this is only being picky.
Review 14:Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant had excellent views and wonderful food and wine! We were on business but at the hotel we felt like we were on a luxury leisure break. Many thanks to all staff.
Review 15:A bit far from train station -Turn right from train station; when you found the tourist infirmation, there are two road infront of you. Then choose the road that turn left and walk down to Mosel river. Turn right and go ahead, hotel was in your right side.
Review 16:-Room is clean, comfortable and very good view. -Breakfast is also nice. - Closed to Christmas market
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Location and view are the best. Get a river view suite and you will be wow! Great on-site restaurant with several 3 or 4 course dinner options. The breakfast is all you could ever ask for.
Review 19:We had a room on the 5th floor in the villa ( not the main house) which is very close to the bridge. It was a bit noisy so we had to keep the windows closed until about midnight.
Review 20:Location, terrace, service, food. The bathtub, shower and bathroom facilities are excellent!!!
Review 21:Very friendly staff, clean and newly furnished rooms & facilities. The vinothek that belongs with the hotel is also a worthwhile experience.
Review 22:Fantastic wetroom shower, spacious room and bed, quiet, nice breakfast. Fan in room cooled quickly.
Review 23:They should have an option for feather pillows.
Review 24:It was a beautiful property surrounded by some great places.
Review 25:Leaving x
Review 26:Everything was excellent .perfect.
Review 27:Room was very large with 2 stories. The bedroom was upstairs, so with no A/C it got very warm.
Review 28:The staff varied in how they talked to you. One person was great, another acted like we were bothering her.
Review 29:The breakfast was wonderful.
Review 30:Great Hotel with views over the Mosel
Review 31:Everything was winderful
Review 32:That we didn't book for a longer time!
Review 33:Everything.
Review 34:Missing a swimming pool
Review 35:excellent dinner, perfect rooms, perfect location
Review 36:No airconditioning - very hot room in the summer!
Review 37:Location, location, location. Beautiful terrace, great breakfast, lovely views of the Mosel. Nice room with shower.
Review 38:The restaurant in the hotel was closed in the evenings, but the staff booked for me a partner restaurant just 100 mt away. I should say the landscape is worth taking the short walk !
Review 39:The room was modern furnished, spacious and distributed on two floors. There were sensors for lightning, two flat TV screens and a big shower with rain effect. I also liked the contrast between the modern style and the pictures along the stairs , reproducing the village as it was a long time ago. Maybe due to the low season, the price was not expensive at all for the service provided for.
Review 40:Complicated lighting set up made it difficult to turn off some of the lights.
Review 41:Were upgraded to a junior suite which was enormous. Very modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. The location was brilliant for going to the Weinnachtmarkts.
Review 42:-breakfast buffet for the 4 star hotel; breakfast was better in the same hotel before renovation; -was waiting long time to get a clean table at breakfast; -Wi-Fi was not really strong; -long lines at reception in the morning;
Review 43:-the staff at reception was friendly; -christmas decorations int eh garden were really fantastic!
Review 44:wifi could be faster! (but so what?)
Review 45:Very friendly and efficient staff. Liked the newly renovated rooms. Got the Christmas spirit just right: Dinner (24th) menu well balanced, Brunch (25th) and breakfast buffets generous. 5 & 7 year old grandsons made very welcome everywhere! Not our first visit, and hopefully not our last.
Review 46:The parking garage was a little awkward to get into and the elevator was out of order our last day so we had to carry luggage down the stairs. There was no phone in the room.
Review 47:The bathroom was very spa like with heated towel racks and floors and beautiful tub. We had a great view of the Mosel. Breakfast was top rate. The staff was very helpful. The location is fabulous.
Review 48:The room was section Villa, the bed was upper deck (not upper room) For older persons the slatter to bed may be dangerous. It would be good, if thre were information by reservation. This is behind fasility and comford good rate.
Review 49:Location side Mosel-river. New look of hotel and restaurant
Review 50:Our room on the top floor of an annexe building was small, with very low sloping ceiling! No mention of this when I booked.
Review 51:Extremely good restaurant. Good views of the Moselle.
Review 52:The staff of the hotel is really friendly and very helpfull. You have the feeling that you are at home. Especially Alexander is one of best receptionist that we have ever met. The room was large, nice with fantastic view to the river.
Review 53:Single bed that was pushed up against the wall. For the price I had expected a double room for single use.
Review 54:The hotel breakfast was very good. Friendly staff very helpful.
Review 55:Was not impressed by the quality of the restaurant given the price. Elsewhere in town you get more value for your money.
Review 56:Location, location, location. You are in the heart of the beautiful sceneryright on the river and a castle ruin dominating the mountain top.
Review 57:I exchanged several e-mails with the hotel after making my reservationand let them know that I was with a 72-year old person and elevator/liftwas a must for me to stay. They placed us in a room that not only we hadto use steps to get there but also exposed my mother to the cold everynight since we had to cross a park to get to the room. Besides it ---watch out!!!! They have rooms placed right below the storage room. It isnoisy from 07:30am on. On top of everything the bed sheets and towelswere as cheap as it can be. If you want an advice, explore Mosel Valleyfrom any other place that you could have it done. The trip is great butthe hotel can ruin it for you as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Review 58:Location is the only thing that this "4" star hotel has to offer. I donot recommed you to spend any time at this place. Horrible staff, poorenglish and carelles about their guests needs. (Except for therestaurant staff- they were great).
Review 59:Nothing.
Review 60:The hotel has undergone a complete makeover since I was last there, it was always good but it is now beautiful. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 61:...It is a pity that during our stay, there was also a wedding: regularcustommers were bared from the restaurant, garden and usual services fora 4 stars hotel plus sono until 01:30 am... So, check that possibleinconveniance before booking. To the credit of the management, we mustsay that we were discounted the value of one night and offered a bottleof Riesling sekt: that was very courteous and we appreciated!
Review 62:Very good hotel but...
Review 63:the complimentary upgrade was much appreciated. A fabulous room.
Review 64:Excellent location, excellent staff, good food, superb room with a great view
Review 65:No dislikes or complaints
Review 66:Excellent service, good clean rooms, and excellent breakfast.
Review 67:Newly modernised in an excellent way. The studio rooms are extremely well designed. Restaurant also very good, with friendly staff
Review 68:Reception not helpful
Review 69:Nice layout of breakfast, view from room amazing
