Reviews for Hotel San Marcos
Review 1:The noise coming from outside the room's window. Probably from one of the AC fans. Almost impossible to sleep at night.
Review 2:Close to "Casco Antiguo" center.
Review 3:The fan in the bathroom needed a good old clean!
Review 4:Very helpful staff. Great city location, spacious room with a balcony. Very convenient basement parking. Very quiet at night.
Review 5:smells bad, the staff speaks poor English, no reliable wifi, not very clean or cozy, outdated, the air conditioner blows right into the heads of the sleeping people, but without it you'd suffocate. Oh well, it is so cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for.
Review 6:Location
Review 7:WiFi was patchy or non-existent. The sights we wanted to see were all an up hill walk, further than we expected, the Monasterio de Santa Ana was closed and the Cathedral was only open for services, so we only had a brief look before being told that it was closing. Most disappointing.
Review 8:The reception staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. The on site parking was good. Reasonable shopping centre nearby. The Carnival Museum and the Museo de Bellas Artes were also good.
Review 9:The garage was very difficult to park; the facilities a little tired and breakfast light
Review 10:Well placed and comfortable with polite staff. Good restaurant attached.
Review 11:In the first room offered the shower overflowed into the room. There was mould around the shower fittings and the cleanliness was not as expected. After moving rooms we found that the shower did not work properly and the hot water was only enough for one person. Staff informed us that we would have to wait 15 minutes for more hot water.
Review 12:The only good point was the location
Review 13:very hard to find, wifi didn't work in our room, shower was broken, room was a bit noisy. The downside to being in the historic precinct is assess driving to it and parking - very narrow streets and hotel was hard to find
Review 14:room was large and clean easy walk to restaurants and sights
Review 15:The wifi didn't work in our room, it would out in the hallway but that isn't really all that helpful. The walls are also very thin so you can hear everything everyone is saying and doing. The closet in our room was broken so you had to drag it across the floor while trying to hold it up to put things in the mini fridge.
Review 16:The rooms have a cute little balcony that is attached to all of your rooms and it overlooks the street which is very pretty. Staff was super nice and helpful. Walking distance to all of the old squares and Calle Menacho for shopping.
Review 17:No working internet in the room and the bed and pillow was way below what you would expect for a double deluxe room.
Review 18:Location is good, very close to Plaza España and all the historic part of town. Friendly staff.
Review 19:I think it depends on the room you get but mine didn't have an internet connection (they give you a cable but there was no plug) and it smelled a bit weird. When I told the stuff about it, they came up with a lemon spray instead of asking me if I wanna have another room. Maybe I should have asked directly and on the first day but this was definitely a minus.
Review 20:very central, nice spanish breakfast and very freindly stuff, clean and very spacious room and bathroom
Review 21:parking very difficult, no drop of parking luckily they have their own parking, but we found a secure carpark close to the hotel
Review 22:The Staff were very friendly The location very central The bedroom had a small balcony very clean with a nice restaurant
Review 23:a nightmare to find without sat nav you must book car park as road parking limited hotel is tired in need of refurb and only wifi in reception
Review 24:we booked superior room which was spacious good location
Review 25:The three-part shower screen (in an enormous bathroom) was awkward to operate.
Review 26:Terrific second floor room with a terrace. Great value for money. Antonio was very very helpful. Badajoz is nicer than Merida.
Review 27:We didn't find anything to complain about.
Review 28:Very central location with on site parking in the old town. If driving, it's necessary to drive through pedestrian only streets, with CCTV cameras to get to the hotel. On registration the hotel will take your car registration and pass it to the local police.
Review 29:Difficult access through one way streets and pedestrian ways.
Review 30:Staff helpful. Had to see the funny side of bits of bathroom equipment falling apart! Basic but value for money for overnight stop
Review 31:No space in bathroom to store washbag contents.
Review 32:Large rooms good for our 7 and 5 year olds. Bath small for adult, but ok for child and the shower was strong. Location a big plus.
Review 33:The parking was very small and of very hard access to our parking spot and a bit expensive for the space (not impressed). The room we got was close to where all the air conditioners engines were located (a lot of them), so very, very noisy. Our air conditioner was dripping condensate (a lot) all night. We had to put several towels to absorb the drippings, it was like trying to sleep with a dripping faucet (torture). Had to open window as the room was boiling but there was the noise from ALL the A/C outside. Not easy to fall and stay asleep.
Review 34:The staff was very, very nice. The room was very big. The hotel environment was calm and relaxed. Well located in the city.
Review 35:Difficult to park near and Badajoz is not an easy city to drive around.

Review 61:Localização
Review 62:Nothing negative to report.
Review 63:Personel extremely helpful. Being a small family hotel, they treat you with much care. You won't get luxury but a very clean, tidy place very conveniently located.
Review 64:Nothing worth mentioning other than that the price of breakfast appearedhigh, so I chose a local cafe instead.
Review 65:My double room was spacious and comfortable and the mini bar very handyfor keeping my own drinks cool in a heat wave. The reception staff werevery obliging and happily stored my bike in the hotel's undergroundcar park. The main sights of the town were only a short walk away.
Review 66:Insonorization is not very good, you can hear guests in other roomsquite well. Breakfast is in a café open to the public adjacent to thehotel and choice is limited.
Review 67:This hotel is very close to the city centre, room was confortable. Staffwas very friendly. It has secure indoor parking.
