Reviews for Romantik Jugendstilhotel Bellevue

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:At first I thought the hotel was good, but relatively simple, but soon we found real "grandeur" in several details. My personal highlights are: Wellness: very beautiful setup with lots of good taste, and the vertical panoramic view from the Finish sauna. dinner: view when you enter the dining room, candeleers, table linen and outstanding personal in uniform. A superbe wine card with all great Bordeaux, but over my budget Breakfast: sparkling wine for free. i don't speak German very well, but especially for this occasion: Wunderbarlichkeit findet man in Details.

Review 3:Afternoon staff did not pass on request to pre order champagne for dinner in the restaurant. Overall, staff was good and welcoming.

Review 4:Great location. Catch the boat to Bernkastel in front of hotel. Great breakfast.

Review 5:very. comfortable friendly place good location excellent food and staff ha ndy for the boat ride into berncastle..

Review 6:Location. The fact that you have to walk down the street and then around the corner to get to your room

Review 7:Funky place. Restaurant is not all that friendly nor is the menu diverse.

Review 8:Good spacious accommodation and charming helpful staff . Fine view and the ambience in restaurant atmospheric but the elaborate food a bit less special than its appearance , dessert fine but mains salty . Breakfast lavish but quality of its components below that of all other hotels on this trip ...

Review 9:none

Review 10:Room was comfortable, nice breakfast. The staff was very kind, helpful, specially Ms.Nadine. She helped me a lot with smile. Thank you so much, I will definitely come back.

Review 11:Bedroom in standard double was very good but bathroom showed signs of wear needing attention.

Review 12:Possibly the best reception welcome and continued excellent performance I can recall in a hotel. Small but lively bar is entertainment in itself.

Review 13:Beautiful location, we stayed in a junior suite which, although a little more expensive, was worth the extra. The staff were very helpful. All in all, very good value for money

Review 14:No hot water. Booked a suite, yet room was relatively spartan and located in a distant corner of a new wing.

Review 15:Mgt. reduced price by 50% in response to shortcomings.

Review 16:Fair room rates for what you get. All around high quality. Meets everything advertised on hotel web site. Polite, professional, helpful staff. Easy walking distance to everything in both Traben-Trarbach towns. Traben-Trabach has plenty of good restaurants, weinstubes and nice people running them. Relaxing time on the Mosel. No question, would stay here again.

Review 17:No AC.

Review 18:Although parking isn't reserved, on street parking is easy to use. Breakfast great. Majestic old wood work. Nice to have free water and ice tea available in the lobby. Great view from dining areas and easy walk within town or over the bridge.

Review 19:It feels that the young staff is not too happy. They do smile, but its not very genuin. Our feeling was that they really want and do perform excellent, but to reach that level, they are pushed to hard by the management. A professional relaxed atmosphere would be better fit to this hotel.

Review 20:Great apartment, good wine, nice table silver, good old english countrry house feeling with squeaky wooden stairs. The quality of the food varies from mainly excellent to just good.

Review 21:At the moment the Hotel is undergoing regeneration to a small part of the Spa facilities and there was some disruption and noise

Review 22:The Location, the quality of the facilities and an excellent breakfast

Review 23:Didn't get toiletries replaced in the whole 5 days but to be fair I did have my own and I didn't ask the chambermaid for any more. I sure I could have had them no problem.

Review 24:The breakfasts - lots of choice Our room, wonderful view over the river The furnishings and general style were wonderful, great attention to detail The spa facilities which we used every day

Review 25:The room we booked, like usual on web booking, did not meet up to what is shown on the web. The toilet was dirty,,,.there was hair in the bed and the hotel staff gathered after work at the back of the hotel under our window; smoking, drinking and making too much noise. The hotel proudly shows a "Michelin" hotel decal in their window on your arrival. I think not.

Review 26:Wonderful people who went out of their way to help. The atmosphere in the main building meets what is advertised on the web. The location on the water front is wonderful.

Review 27:Room provided was in another building several blocks away and facing a parking lot. Indirect peek at river. Avoid first floor if at all possible; noisy at night til late.

Review 28:The apartment we stayed in was absolutely stunning and the staff were very helpful in enabling us to stay an extra night. Dinner on the terrace was hugely memorable and the food excellent. Arriving in time for the Wine Festival was a stroke of luck and made for a very fun weekend. We will definitely be coming back!

Review 29:I visited this hotel multiple times before. It is always 100% ok. With the new wellness area upstairs it is even better!

Review 30:You have the feeling that you go back in time. Very nice location. Friendly people and very good restaurant.

Review 31:Wonderful, stylish hotel with excellent staff. Very good breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed the sauna on the top floor.

Review 32:I really liked my room which was one of the larger ones.

Review 33:Everything including location

Review 34:As a regular visitor I had a very good reception and I was allocated a room as requested

Review 35:Lack of information in an otherwise excellent room.

Review 36:Location, staff, food

Review 37:Really friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful building.

Review 38:A beautiful building to stay in. We liked everything about the hotel. Very good to have a bath too as well as a shower.

Review 39:No negative comments.

Review 40:General atmosphere and art deco style.

Review 41:BEAUTIFUL ROOM, excellent breakfast on the veranda overlooking the Mosel, comfortable bed.

Review 42:Excellent hotel, friendly staff and great food

Review 43:Beautiful room and fantastic shower. Very comfortable beds. BBC1 on TV.

Review 44:Extra bed uncomfortable

Review 45:People , location , breakfast , hotel building

Review 46:The bed as not very comfortable and gave me a bad neck

Review 47:Atmosphere, food, wine, sauna, appartment, staff, bar

Review 48:Entrance with steep stairs

Review 49:Somewhat less helpful male staff Poor internet connection (none in my room)

Review 50:Location and views Room Helpful female staff Lovely dinner

Review 51:A bit of a rabbit warren trying to find ways to pool etc. Signposting for hotel could be better a actually called Bellview hotel I am very perplexed by confirmation that breakfast was FREE yet \I now note \I was charged 10 eu but did not notice at the time

Review 52:very good staff ,good food very well served and presented Just the right hotel for me great view

Review 53:Excellent river front location, friendly ladies at the reception (always answer with a smile), nice breakfast buffet, excellent restaurant (very good sirloin steak!), nice rental bikes (8 euro/day). Upgraded us to a nice suite and gave me a bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday! Definitely will recommend the Bellevue Hotel to friends. Enjoyed biking along the beautiful Mosel River from Traben-Trabach to Bernkastel-Kues (easy 48 kms round-trip), visiting castles and Wine Museum. Recommend visiting the Mosel in the off season (late March and April) when it is not crowded.

Review 54:my wife didn't believe me after my first visit March 2013, but was suitably impressed in April 2014 when we stayed together. Location, staff and food were excellent ( and proper silver service at dinner- wow!) and room was great, all dark oak beans and river view. A proper German town by a gently flowing working river.

Review 55:nothing.

Review 56:Cosy and elegant Hotel. Beautifull room and as I asked a realy quiet room (upgreated) Stylisch spa and swimingpool. Very good breakfast and dinner.

Review 57:A wonderful and stilish hotel with a great setting. The staff is very good and friendly. Both breakfast and restaurant are herrlich. And the wellness facilities are selig. A top hotel for an honest price. We will definitely come back.

Review 58:The (boking.com) policy re costs for children are not very clear. In my case with two minors (7 & 9 years), the hotel reception staff firstly offered me a discount as one child stayed in each room with an adult (we booked two double rooms). Finally, the hotel told me they made a mistake and I had to pay the full rate (160 EUR / room and night) x 2 = 320 EUR).

Review 59:The staff really went the extra mile to make our stay very pleasant.

Review 60:Unique and fabulous art nouveau interiors. Excellent restaurant. Lovely setting by the Moselle. Helpful and welcoming staff. Can't be faulted.

Review 61:The Internet is very bad/unstable not possible to reach from our room. I had to work in the diningroom. The management was not interested to compensate for higher mobile costs causeed by not beeing able to use Skype.

Review 62:We liked the location, the nice personnel and the fascinating jugend style.

Review 63:Left to struggle up several flights of stairs with my suitcase while the receptionist took the other one. Breakfast was nothing exceptional and the evening meal was passable.

Review 64:We were upgraded to a suite which was very clean and spacious. On balance I would recommend the hotel for its location.

Review 65:I found the bathroom door difficult as it was not possible for it to be kept open for quick visits. Also in the shower there was no wall basket to put in the soap, creams etc whilst showering. They have to be put on the floor.

Review 66:This was my third visit as I walk along the Mosel. For me it is a touch of pampering after six hard days of walking. I like to Pool and Spa areas and enjoyed a massage. The food is excellent and the breakfast is first class seved in an elegant room. The bar area is very comfortable with good music.

Review 67:There was no air conditioning, which is not always necessary on the Mosel but there was a band playimg very loudly until midnight, which we could have slept through if there had been AC.

Review 68:Staff helpful, friendly. Room and bathroom spacious.

Review 69:Location - too far off main highways. Also, they were non-accomodating when it came to trying to cancel out a few days out.

Review 70:shower

Review 71:If am picky to find something wrong in the hotel at all, I would only say that the light in the toilet/bathtub area could be a bit more environment lighting or a candle. Thats it, nothing else to complain.

Review 72:Well, if you want an amazing staff, amazing location, amazing room (we got an upgrade for free), amazing structure (restaurant, spa, etc) then this is your hotel. Possibly one of the best I have stayed all my life. The food in the restaurant was amazing, the staff do everything to make you happy and they even let us use the spa after the check out, simply amazing hotel.

Review 73:The staff is a bit too 'servile'; The high end Restaurant"Clauss Feist" in this hotel served to my wife aspargus withwere not cooked through (not soft); and to me a cold main course withina eur 40.00 socalled "Bellevue-Menue"; as I claimed they gotit warmer; in total, we had too wait too long for this dinner, so wedecided not to return to this hotel-Restaurant again. As a kind of anexcuse at checking-out I got a bottle of Sparkling Wine;Die Bedienungen sind freundlich, aber etwas zu 'unterwuerfig' (= 'servile'), Der Hauptgang im sog. "Bellevue-Menue (Preis: EUR 40.00) war kalt ("Bandnudeln mit Seeteufel"), erst auf Draengen wuerde dies dann waermer gemacht, beim Auschecken erhielt ich als "Kompnesation" dafuer eine Flasche Sekt, was ja nicht der Grund meiner Reklamation war; insgesamt musste man lange uaf dies Abendessen warten (Samstag-Abend, vielleicht zu viele Gaeste?)

Review 74:The building is beautiful ('Art Nouveau' or'Jugendstil'), if you like such art-work; the location is superbat the banks of the river Mosel; the breakfast buffet is excellent andit is really 'four star';

Review 75:The staff was very friendly and helpful, even to us non-German speakers. The room was spacious yet cozy and clean, the breakfast was incredible, the location was perfect to enjoy the river, walk around, and experiencesome of the local wine venues. The sauna/steam room and rooftoppatio were nice options for relaxation.

Review 76:The first night i smelled the food in my room from the kitchen ( no big deal i can always open the window for few minutes)

Review 77:I like the old fashion style of the hotel - it feels like im on a retreat to recharge and chill and relax. Pool and relaxing room is great ... better than going to Moseltherme.

Review 78:In the main Bar area smoking was permitted - coming from the UK and a none smoker I found this strange, but apparently it is not unusual in this type of Hotel. The rest of the Hotyel appeared to be smoke free.

Review 79:I have stayed at the Hotel twice before and it is as good as ever - a touch of luxury for me on a long walking holiday along the Mosel. The facilitieas are good - it is in a central location on the River front. The Spa area is excellent and the massage services offered are good, The breakfast is very good.

Review 80:Fabulous hotel! Great full breakfast with their local sparkling wineAmazing location. Our windows opened onto the Mosel River. ExcellentBike rentals and electric bikes. River cruise was beautiful. Highlyreccomend this hotel and booking.com price was excellent! Very close toFrankfurt Hahn (20 min).

Review 81:Awesome art deco/nouveau property on the lake ! Enoyed the bar and thelovely breakfast buffet served in the oopulent dining room ! Perfect fora stopover while exploring the German wine country. My friend enjoyed abeautifully decorated historical room overlooking waterfront.Disappointed that mine was in the newer wing of the hotel, and was verybasic and boring. Still, for price and location , any room is good!Would definitely choose this hotel again.

Review 82:Excellent Hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Good food andexcellent facilities. Would definitely recommend both the area and theHotel for anyone wanting a special weekend away.

Review 98:The hotel is a working antique! The staff make it up to date by their care and efforts.

Review 99:Meal was expensive.

Review 100:Room and service was excellent.

Review 101:Perfect location, impeccable service, beautiful room, wonderful dining experience. Overall a fantastic holiday.

Review 102:We stayed on third floor and the elevator only went to the second floor. There's no elevator to the pool. There is no Jacuzzi

Review 103:The pool
