Reviews for Hotel Conti Am Hauptbahnhof

Review 1:Not real problems: too old style for my opinion: quite old building, old elevators, old style reception. The highest floor isn't reached from elevator.

Review 2:Very near to railway station. Very clean and quite big rooms.

Review 3:I wish there had been restaurants nearby. There were only fast food places. I was not comfortable walking alone to the center in the dark for a restaurant meal, so I ate something in my room.

Review 4:My room was comfortable and clean. It was very close to the train station and also only a 10 minute walk into the city center. There are many fast food places in the area. The hotel breakfast was more than sufficient. I was even given a free token for a glass of sparkling wine. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 5:My room was on the top floor. Lift goes up to 8th floor only and I had to climb up the stair to my room.

Review 6:Clean and spacious room. Nice staff. Large varieties of breakfast. Good location very near the train station (3-4 min walking) and a short walk to the city center and shopping arcade.

Review 7:In 2015, the lack of free complementary WiFi/WLAN is simply inexcusable! Booking.com claims free internet, but this is FALSE. It was hot when I stayed, and there is no A/C, just a cheap little desk fan that doesn't work. Because the train station is being rebuilt, and the location is the central city bus transfer point, it can be quite noisy -- even if windows are closed, and even at night. If you're a light sleeper, beware. The choice between constant street noise and sweltering sleep is irksome. I was alone and booked a single room, but for some reason was given a room with two (single) beds... To be honest, I probably wouldn't stay again unless there was no other choice.

Review 8:Location right at the Hauptbanhof (and main bus transfer point) is nice (but see the cons!). Staff were friendly and everything is clean. Voucher for a free drink at the bar on arrival (Sekt is not my thing, though).

Review 9:The parking lot was not free and it was a little bit inconvenient because the way was not connected each other. The wi-fi is not activated well sometimes. Furthermore, the room doesn`t have air conditioner. so, the room was a little bit hot.

Review 10:The location is really close to the center of the city. It is quite close to the tourist place. Even though the hotel looks older than others, the inside of hotel was very clean and good. Breakfast was very good with fresh materials

Review 11:Wifi should be free and breakfast should be included at this price . The room could have done with a ceiling fan as it was too hot when we stayed, and too loud when we opened the windows.

Review 12:The staff are helpful and very welcoming, and the hotel is in a great spot close to the station. The room was also lovely and clean

Review 13:The hotel staff don't communicate internally, they got my checkout date wrong and packed my bags unceremoniously and dumped it downstairs! I was not compensated for this in anyway! When I complained, I was offered free laundry for a day! Thank you very much! Also you cannot sleep with the window open ( you need to open it as it gets rather hot in the tiny room), because of all the noise from the road in front starting at 5 am!!

Review 14:Behind an "ordinary-looking" exterior lies a gem of a hotel. Excellent location to city centre and train station. Very clean, comfortable bed and bathroom, tiled floors throughout (more hygienic than carpet). Great attention to detail and the "little" things! Hard to beat this hotel. Great value for money.

Review 15:Despite asking for 2 small bed I got large bed but the cover was too small. I have left by mistake some clothes but the hotel did not contact me. the wifi is not free

Review 16:The hotel offer a free drink at arrival. there is lift.

Review 17:Was on the 5th floor and it was very noisy from the street through the night. Also the door is not very sound proof and noise from the hall was also loud.

Review 18:They have the telecom wi-fi, which means you still have to pay (can't believe hotels these days can't offer free wifi).

Review 19:The location is excellent just across from the main train station and walking distance to the town center.

Review 20:well, once you get off the train you immediately notice that the Hbf is under construction and you have to take a detour through a tunnel. why was cycling allowed in this tunnel?

Review 21:ideally, once you've gotten off the train, you only have to carry your bags across the street and there it is -- a refurbished traditional hotel. and there is a welcome drink :) rooms were quiet and spotless.

Review 22:Some noise from other rooms, the hotel is aware of this as offers ear plugs! Parking is 9euro per 24hours breakfast is 8euro each but there are 4 bakeries within 20 metres, each offering lovely breakfasts for less wifi is via a hotspot service which is 5euro per day

Review 23:Big room whic was very clean excellent location for train station, town just a 2 min walk Nice sauna

Review 24:the reception clerk was slowly, unflexible and even unpolite to the customers (was not willing to give a checked in cutomer hwo left the hotel for some while the key before he finished my long taking check in and even had some notes to the "unpolite" cutomer - embarissing no free internet in the rooms

Review 25:very good located in front of the central train station very good breakfast

Review 26:2months in advance reserved 2rooms, spent around 850-900 euro on room plus breakfast and parking for 3days and couldn't get rooms next to each other. Or at least closer by? One room was all the way at the end of hallway. The other room on the other side of the building. Sent emails. Called to ask as close as possible. Modern technologies allow to preblock rooms /assign rooms. Especially for 4stars hotels and the money you pay No safe No minibar or empty fridge

Review 27:Bed is great Booked 2rooms and 1of rooms had new bathroom. Nice! The 2nd one was outdated.. Dislike... Breakfast 8euro. Good price for what you get

Review 28:At walking distance (1 min) from the train station and the town centre (10 min). Good location, nice view from the room. No problem with street noise at all (towards Windthorst Straße). Very helpful staff.

Review 29:Hostels in Indonesia, budget hotels in Kenya, and small guesthouses inIndia mange to have wi-fi (beyond the extortionate airport style 25 eurstyle). This completely unnecessary cash grab ensured not only that willI not go to this hotel again, but also that I will not patronize anyhotels within this chain.

Review 30:The light for working on the desk wasn't sufficient. The internet should have been included.

Review 31:The room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was excellent. The windows were impressive, and soundproof.

Review 32:A small broken fan awaiting me to cool a huge room on a hot, humid day. Then discovered its cage was loose and very noisy. Asked for another one, but was told they had none, but someone found one and it was teeny, tiny. Noise street at night kept me awake as I had to leave the window open to cool the air.

Review 33:Across from train station and delicious buffet

Review 34:The bathroom had a glass door - fine for a couple but if you are with a workmate or friend it might be uncomfortable.

Review 35:Very close to the station (I don't think you could get much closer). Clean room, helpful staff. We got a voucher for a free drink at the downstairs bar when we checked in. The sauna was open until 10pm.

Review 36:I asked for a quiet room and was given a room on the 6th floor at the back of the hotel, which was fairly quiet, given the location. The receptionist let me use their computer for half an hour.

Review 37:- very loud environment, not the trains but people on the streets and cars passing by - no airconditioning (as it was very warm on our trip)

Review 38:-very clean -very big rooms

Review 39:single bad was very small

Review 40:close to every where

Review 41:The bed is small ,

Review 42:THE breakfast is super !! Very Nice

Review 43:The check in staff was not friendly Shower in sauna room didn't work Not enough soap/ shampoo in bathroom

Review 44:Breakfast was good.

Review 45:noise

Review 46:Location expensive

Review 47:Transparent door of the bathroom

Review 48:Bed too small

Review 49:Good if you have to spend just one night

Review 50:It's noisy due to closeness of railway station.

Review 51:It is quite clean and the staff are kind.

Review 52:nothing

Review 53:friendly people , huge room

Review 54:Good quality and good value.

Review 55:Very noisy, next to the main street, hot , no air-con, single room is very small.

Review 56:location, opp. train station

Review 57:problem with the constructions on the opposite side by the hauptbahnhof

Review 58:Very good location for business travelers, large room, and bathroom

Review 59:friendly staff, spacious and quiet room

Review 60:Hotel car park is difficult to find. There may be signage but I couldn't see it

Review 61:Excellent location between the station and the Altstadt

Review 62:It is really noisy in the night, no way to open the windows

Review 63:Location is great, rooms are clean and comfy

Review 64:Wifi extra

Review 65:Breakfast, large room, full size tub, sauna, well kept facilities

Review 66:They were not excited about keeping my luggage over the weekend after I checked out...

Review 67:Location!

Review 68:No comment

Review 69:The breakfast is excellent value for money

Review 70:Close to centralstation, city center and university

Review 71:Central, comfortable beds

Review 72:no Internet

Review 73:Location, comfort

Review 74:No free Wi-fi

Review 75:Good location and easy acces (across the street from train station). Good breakfast.

Review 76:the price the 3-bed zimmer had only 2 beds and 1 bank noice from the surroudings

Review 77:The sound isolation of the room was very poor

Review 78:Nice location, if you like staying just next to the railway station

Review 79:Location - close to railway station, buses (some go to Munster airport) and close enough to centre

Review 80:Located at a busy noisy road.

Review 81:Central location, close to the city centre

Review 82:As with most hotels the curtains need to be darker and able to 'black out' No fridge.

Review 83:Spacious well presented room.

Review 84:Very good: enough siad

Review 85:Everything

Review 86:Nothing

Review 87:It´s a hotel with old style design and decoration, I found it very expensive what they offer compare with other hotels in the similar level. Also, there is no free wifi for internet.

Review 88:good location and the staff are correct,

Review 89:No air conditioning but a fan was provided No free wi-fi

Review 90:We have stayed here 8 or 9 times previously and our recent stay was the best yet. We had room 311 and it was amazing, more of a Suite than a room. The breakfast is always good and the snacks in the Bistro are good value at lunchtimes.

Review 91:The WiFI provided by Telekom for the Hotel was absolutely disgraceful. When travelling on business constant contact with emails and interne is vital and here was terrible.

Review 92:Good , Clean rooms and a great value breakfast reasonably priced.

Review 93:Some Bistro meals on offer were not up to standard. Noise from street throughout the night was unacceptable and interfered with your sleep.

Review 94:Room was good

Review 95:For those of you who are still sorry that you did not get to visit East Germany in the 80's and see an authentic Warsaw block hotel from before the removal of the wall this is your chance to feel the mood and atmosphere of the past with cold, boring rooms and total old school interior. If it wasn't for the flat screen TV I would have thought that I had travelled back in time when I woke up after one night in this hotel. Sometimes you really get what you pay for... By the way if you need wifi in the hotel don't worry - it is working just as well as if you had been in East Germany in the 80's...

Review 96:The parking of the hotel is extremely small, so if you come by car you better park in one of the parking garages near. The price is almost the same. The hotel is near the main station. When you have a room near the street side it can get a bit noisy in the weekend. although the rooms are good isolated.

Review 97:We had a room on the back which is quite. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean. It is also very nice that you get a voucher for a complementary drink in the bar of the hotel. To walk to the centre is not far and there are shops and restaurants in the area.

Review 98:I was in a small room on the sixth floor, but there was still enough street noise that I had to sleep with ear plugs. There was also a bit of noise from adjoining rooms due to thin walls.

Review 99:The hotel was nice, clean, and the staff as good as you could expect, and they let me park my motorcycle in a protected inner "Hof" without a fee. The parking garages were close and cheap, but forbade motorcycles.

Review 100:The loud noise from , probably a bar nearby. Earplugs where provided, but we could hear it well.

Review 101:Very spacious room, everything we could have possibly needed was in it

Review 102:The smell of sigaret in the room

Review 103:Very friendly receptionist, (his name is Georg, but I am not sure), he was really nice, kind, efficient. Room was large and clean.

Review 104:It is very near to the Hauptbahnhof, thus it was very easy to locate it and I don't have to lug my luggage for too long a time. hotel staff were very helpful- lent me scissors and sewing kit readily when i asked for them. They also allowed me to leave my luggage at the hotel for one night before I moved in the following day. Hotel is also located at a comfortable walking distance away from the centre of the town.

Review 105:Wifi only available at an extra cost, free wifi only for guest using a special German mobile provider. It was easier using my own network for Internet but a free wifi would complete the perfect stay.

Review 106:Spacious room, very clean, good insulation of windows, no noise even though it's located right across the central station, good location for business travellers, nice breakfast.

Review 107:noisy from the road and bus stop at night. not much facilities in the room. no air-conditioning

Review 108:opposite the train station bath tub can walk to the city

Review 109:There are no air conditioning and there was 30 degrees and 90% of humidity. It was very difficult to sleep... The curtains are of bad quality and at 5 am the room was full of light, it was impossible to sleep well. There are fresh mineral water in the reception at 4 euros per bottle!!!! (tap water was ok but warm). The hotel has 4 stars... but the room has not mini-bar, no air conditioning, no free wi-fi...

Review 110:Value for money was a bit on the poor side.

Review 111:Hotel near the train station in distance to town center. It has also a parking space, in case you need that. Friendly staff.

Review 112:The hotel was very expensive (150€ incl breakfast and car park), theroom was very clean but extremely basic and noisy due to its location. The television set is very old and when I ask for an internet connectionI was told that this was an issue between the guest and DeutschesTelekom, nothing to do with the hotel. In other words there is a hot-spot but the hotel does not want to be involved in the purchase of theInternet service.

Review 113:Breakfast was acceptable, although the coffee was impossible to drink.

Review 114:Unless you have a back room, it is so noisy! They have tried by having soundproof windows and earplugs in the top drawer. But, the Bar in the adjoining street that is open all hours, makes so much noise with loud drunks, all the time. Really, it was all the time, all through the night. I travel a lot around the world and these were the noisiest, most sleepless two nights I have had in a very long time. Not good with jet lag and when your are visiting Muenster for business. Besides that, a nice hotel.

Review 115:Location to train station and shops. Nice well meaning staff.

Review 116:Lack of tea or coffee-making facilities in bedroom. No sitting area for meeting friends.

Review 117:Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Good central location. Excellent breakfasts.

Review 118:Corridors were noisy all through the night, due to other guests returning from a night on the town.

Review 119:Hotel staff were excellent, friendly, courteous and spoke excellent English. Hotel was centrally located to Munster city centre.

Review 120:No way is this 4 star hotel - but the price and value for money wasgood. Just advertise it for what it is agood price, simple 3 strahotel!TERRIBLY Noisy on Saturday night owing to corner location onMuensters busiest streets.

Review 121:Very good value. Very comfy bed and pillow. Adequate room size. Verygood breakfast. Preis - Leistung Verhältnis stimmte total.

Review 122:We had a triple room. The main room with double bed was large and the third bed was in a second room - which was good except that the bathroom could only be reached by going through that room.

Review 123:Nicely situated within easy walking distance of the old town. Friendly staff at front desk. Good breakfast.

Review 124:Good price right next to the train station and convenient to citycenter. Breakfast buffet even included scrambled eggs and sausag and agood selection of tea.

Review 125:The single room was bright and clean and had all I needed. Therestaurant staff were efficient and cordial. The reception deskpersonnel were most helpful.

Review 126:noise from street is pretty bad the free drinks card you get when used is narrowed to small beer or soft drink ..no wine etc etc etc.

Review 127:location to station is excellent just across the road not too far from centre either good room with seperate area for extra bed

Review 128:The breakfast cafe needs additional staff.

Review 129:Location cannot be beat - literally across the street from the mainrailway station. The front desk staff is extremely helpful, whether it'sadjusting the reservation, providing recommendations/tips, or evenallowing for an early check-in. The breakfast staff, in the adjacentrestaurant that is part of the hotel, is a little clue-less and seems tosomehow function in the chaos. The breakfast buffet offers a goodselection...just sit down, grab your food, and eat. The staff willeventually find you.

Review 130:Location excellent: 40 metres from railwaystation. soundproof windows! ok to sleep! Bike rent front of hotel= cheap and fast! great! Breakfast was ok, and enough!! Stuff was very good and friendly.
