Review 1：It's up a very steep hill a fair walk from the beach, I found the food to be fairly poor, we took 3 children and then (one a baby) and they closed down the splash park and the baby pool for the whole second week and we were told it's because something was broken and had to be fixed, they didn't actually know that it wal the pool being grouted and to splash park painted so they just lied and had no idea when it would be back on. At the end of our stay we took the room key back and the lady looked at me as if I was an idiot because I had cut of the all inclusive rist bands and through them in the bin on the way down to reception and produced a bit of paper to say I had signed to say I would pay 30€ each band if I lost them €150 for my party of people, I explained we just cut them off as we were told that if we lost them during the stay we would have to pay this, not when we had finished our stay and I have never been so insulted my whole adult life the way she spoke to me, very poor customer service, she was extreamly rude. I was upset and left the lobby fairly loudly. 2 people over heard me and said the same rip off scam were tried on another family a few mins earlyer which ended in much the same way. A good 5 min uphill walk from reception. To the room very poor signage and takes a while to work out were your going which is frustrating for a dad pulling a load of luggage in the wrong direction. New arrivels all walk around like stressed headless chickens, it's a big place and really badly run. I'm truly gutted to have ended up there after our beautifully holiday in Egypt was cancelled. If your looking for some were To stay in caleta de fuste find somwere a lot closer to to the beach and shops or you will end up with very wingie kids. All in all, I couldn't rate against the place more strongly, the chef in the pool bar works hard and the entertainment guys are a good laugh, any one senior managment or customer facing or relations are awfull.

Review 2：Breakfast not open until 8am. Lunch not open until 1pm and tea/dinner 6.30pm. Every sitting there were people queuing outside to get in. Even 1 day in the rain.

Review 3：Food was plentiful and to a good standard. Chips and icecream plentiful for the kids. Staff hard working and always happy.

Review 4：Perfect for a family with young children. Staff are friendly, the all inclusive meals were brilliant compared to previous experiences. I would say the complex completely reflects the money we paid. If you are looking for a bit more luxury I would say you have to pay for it.

Review 7：The entertainment wasnt great to be honest. The 2 female entertainers were nice but a bit too quiet. Alex the main entertainer was just rude. I started to like him and "get" his humour into the 2nd week but on our last night he gave the guests a very patronising lecture on keeping the pool area clean. It was like being back at school!! He's in the wrong job...

Review 8：The staff were all very friendly. Main pool was fab. The kids just loved it. Always got a sunbed and beds are well spaced out as opposed to on top of each other like other placed we've been to. Food was good. A bit repetitive but that's always the way when you go all inclusive.

Review 25：A beautiful resort and the complex caters for all. Lots of clean pools and play areas for the children with only a short walk to the beach. Staff were always very helpful and suggested days out. Just ask for a packed lunch the night before and you get a lunch to take with you. Looking forward to going back really soon

We paid 25 euros for the wifi, but couldnt get decent signal all week. Had to take my computer to reception and sit there while I did all my emails and things. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Certificate on wall only awarded 2 "keys", (which is not even 1 star!)

Review 31：Staff was freindly, and so very polite, accommodating, and helpful. Food was ok, but the best part was the unlimitd drinks, and wine and beer on tap and awesome cocktails! Location was good, and just a 10 minute walk to the beach, and lots of restaurants and thigns to do!

Review 32：Rooms tiny, smelt damp and musty, he's in the towels, yellow water coming out of tap for the bath, moth eaten curtains, tiny room, dated, beds with plastic sheets on, blankets and pillows not washed. Went to get an upgrade because we couldn't of spent another second in the room to be told have to come back tomorrow! We were willing to upgrade but reception staff unwilling to help even though we asked 3 times! We had no other option to book out and book into another hotel with cleaner facilities, after sleeping in bed for 1 night had 6 bites over my body from god knows what. Would not reccomend unless you are looking for a flea pit!

The cleaner came in only every two or three days and didn't leave spare bin bags. Icebox in fridge very iced-up so we couldn't use (couldn't boil enough water, no kettle, and there was nothing that we could scrape the ice out) _kids were not allowed to use their inflatables in the pool, not even balls. They allowed people to smoke in the bars

Review 55：Everything, not a fussy person but have to say this place was the worstever infestations of ants cockroaches rude staff, I travelled with myhusband daughter 4 and baby of 9 months I was glad to come home the aptwas clean but the curtain rail fell off when I went to open the windowthe door didn't lock there were ants everywhere in the apt I'd acot booked for my baby on our first day of landing we were at thecomplex before 12 midday , it didn't arrive at all, I rang receptionat one stage to say I wanted new sheets as there were ants havin a fieldday on the ones that were there I bought bleach myself and dosed theplace the cleaners came in and left the door wide open...we ended upeating every eve in the Barcelo resorts food staff cleanliness 100%.. Asfor caleta dorada will never be back again

Review 56：Booked the room though booking.com as reception could not take bookings! Asked for a room near my family as I came from lanzarote for the day to spend time with them and was told no it was too busy even tho where my family were staying was empty!! Got to my room to see the balcony swarming with ants and opened the door to a horrible smell!! A baguette from about 2 or 3 weeks had been left in there to mould! The room was not clean there were dead ants and bugs everywhere and the beds were not at all comfortable! Would certainly not recommend this to anyone and it's definitely not a 4 star!!!

Constant music in the bar during the day - not needed for the target market (i.e mostly families, as opposed to early twenties etc...). Food in restaurant, while affordable, very fatty and poor. Review 66：The rooms didn't have enough in them for a self catering holiday i.e. one tiny pan and saucepan is not enough. You also had to pay for extras such as an iron. The apartments weren't very sound proof, which I imagine would be a problem at peak times.

Review 73：It's already a bit run down. I guess that's the problem withmost aparthotel places in Fuerteventura.For a similar price at Lanzarote we got a nice big apartment, which was renewed a few years back, with equipment and furniture in good state. This place looked as if it had its glory days way back in the early 90s. Our place was advertised as two bedroom but it was a bit of a stretch. One bigger bedroom had a double bed, which was fairly up to standards, but the other had strange overlaying beds - clearly targeted to be kids room, although adults do fit. Kitchen was also quite old and the whole place smelled rather weird, old, not really fresh. Shower was a bit sketchy too - it changed pressure and water temperature arbitrarily a few times, with no control from the user. All in all it's acceptable if you want to just sleep there and leave for the day (what we did). But I can't really imagine staying there for the whole day.

Review 79：It was very clean incl. the sofas and unlike other hotels in Caleta de Fuste Caleta Dorada obviously does not use insect spray in the rooms (another hotel seemed to have used a whole bottle of that poison in a small room which had caused me health problems and was the reason, why we left that hotel immediately). All colours of the interior are bright and we had a sunny terrace. You can book trips at the reception, there goes a bus daily from the Caleta Dorada Hotel to La Lajita (the Zoo and the botanical garden for 25.00 EUR), another one on thursdays to Corralejo (farmer market) and various other trips. You do not need to get a rental car to travel around. It is only a short walk to the shopping mall of Caleta de Fuste with its shops and restaurants and from there to the beach. There were enough pots and pans, cups and plates etc. to cook a x-mas meal for two. There are 2 or more pools, at the bigger one the kids have an area and there is some entertainment at nights.
