Reviews for Hotel Panoramica Garden

Review 1:the clerks at the reception, the service at the restaurant, 4 persons, no cutlery on the table, giving the impression of no interest for their work,

Review 2:the parking, the maid service (room cleening), the big terrasse with table and chairs

Review 3:Bar shut too early, food not great. Pool dirty, sun loungers broken, not enough staff to run 2 bars. No free Internet in rooms. TV had no English language channels, fridge dirty inside and out. Chairs on balcony too flimsy.

Review 4:My room was good and had a good view from the balcony of the sea and mountains.

Review 5:Flies evident. Found food and then en mass on Kiwi fruit. No attemptmade to wash adjacent fruit. No mattress or pillow protectors. Insect bites, further 8 received AFTER I deployed my Mossy net!!! 20 guests at most .... dinner choice small in range and 'jaded' and 'stewed' in quality. Evidence of unabashed recycling ... e.g 'Tuna' salad presented 3 days running ... possibly 4. Cheap nondescript packet Soup. No butter or spread allowed for bread/rolls. No activities or Animacion. Hotel bus as advertised does not exist; I was directed to a local bus stop. Outside 'Gym' poorly maintained and old. No Manager or Hospitality staff evident. Enough said ... where to stop ? I left prematurely after the Kiwi occurrence. The poorest reflection on the Tenerife Hotel business that I have come across.

Review 6:I would like not to recommend this Hotel under any circumstances. Thestaff (few as there are). Bread

Review 7:Breakfast is pretty low quality but hey — what you pay is what you get. However, there's no excuse for bad coffee!

Review 8:Overall it's a good value for money if you're looking to explore the island and not rely on hotel facilities.

Review 9:There are no any towels into pool area.

Review 10:Hotel has a good location for travellers with rent car. The outdoor swim pool has been cleared every morning. The parking is free of charge.

Review 11:Some of the lights were not working. The bed were uncomfortable. Everything is old and needs throughout refurbishment. The fridge was old and disgusting. The pillows were uncomfortable. The towels r nasty. The food for breakfast and dinner is identical. The fish is cheap and doesnt taste nice. The pool is small and water is always cold and around the area is always windy so u can hardly swim in it . The washing machine and drier look like they ve last been used 30 years ago full of dust and u have to insert 5 euro for washing mashine and 4 for drier. The safety box key costs 15 euro as well. And u have to pay deposit of 10 euro to get a remote control for the TV. The location if way far from the nearest beach and there are extremely steep heels so if you go with kids you better either rent a car or go somewhere else. The building is 12 floors with 2 tiny elevators that fit only 3 ppl , slim people just to make it more imaginable of the space inside the elevator.

Review 12:They pay you the bus tickets to and from puerto de la cruz . Not that the beach in puerto de la cruz is anything nice the beach is full of stones and u cant really go inside the ocean without injuries. Shops around are cheap there are supermarkets small ones and coffe shops and restaurants . The bus stops about 100 m away from the apartments.

Review 13:No free wifi in the room.

Review 14:The see view was good, the city looked beutiful in the morning and night lights. I can recommend the breakfast and dinner superb choice of food and drink. Nice, helpfull staff. Has all you could need. They even have live music :D all good!

Review 15:View on sea was a view on barb wire!!! We had the spartment with kitchen but the cooking plates were cold and it was not possible to boil water! Bed was very uncomfortable. 2 siNgle beds. Did not replace dirty bed sheets. It was very cold during the night.I will never go there again!!!!

Review 16:Not much

Review 17:The free WIFI in reception did not work for four days and there was no great effort to get it resolved.

Review 18:Good selection of food although not very flavoursome.

Review 19:Free Wifi stopped working at the hotel during the stay Other guests were almost exclusively pensioners Location is rather isolated

Review 20:Staff upgraded my room to a beautiful top floor coastal sea view Fantastic value for money at around Euro40 per night including breakfast and dinner Food wasn't glamorous of course - but was perfectly OK, especially the fresh cooked to order fish and meat for dinner and free wine (red or white)

Review 21:Entertainment just in Spanish as was catering for the elderly Spaniards on their annual state paid holiday who were in the majority.

Review 22:Minibus service into Puerto de la Cruz and the free wine with the evening meal when on the half board were both definitely good bonuses. The food was quality and very Spanish, and whilst we were very satisfied some people may be disappointed with the amount of choice.

Review 23:No other Brits at hotel Excursion manager spoke no english Buffet meals need variation

Review 24:Excellent views along coast Regular shuttle to Puerto Local shops amd restaurants

Review 25:I didn't like that we only booked for a week Nothing else to dislike it's a great hotel with fantastic staff and restaurant

Review 26:I did what your doing now Checking what to expect at the hotel After reading some comments I wasn't to sure But what a pleasant shock I got The staff were so nice The room was cleaned daily and clean sheets We booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast was good although the hotel offered dinner and evening meal we ate out at different restaurants close to the hotel while already out But on our last day our transfer pick up time was early evening so we ate in the restaurant for our last evening meal and again what a lovely meal I had braised stake and it just melted in my mouth cooked to perfection I really wish we had ate evening meal at the hotel more often than we did But when already out it was easier eating while out where we were I would stay at the panoramica gardens hotel again and again great hotel fantastic staff and meals and the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in And I've stayed at a some expensive hotels But the panoramica gardens was the cleanest by far, We stayed September 18th to the 25th Oh we had a fantastic view of the sea The even number rooms all have a sea view And the uneven numbers where some of our group stayed had an equally great view of the mountain with paragliders regularly flying Just a great place to stay

Review 27:...ask the room with ocean view. In other case every moning you will wake up and see the devastation and slums. But another side of hotel demonstrate ocean! !

Review 28:When you will book your room. ...

Review 29:One of the mattresses stank a little bit, but I'm sure if we had told something to the staff, they would have changed it.

Review 30:Very kind staff, very good price for decent accomodation, cleaning and towels' change everyday, stunning ocean view from the balcony

Review 31:We booked half board but didn't get dinner on the first night as we missed it though we requested them to hold it as we had late flight. We finished the check-in at 10 pm and that was the time they finished giving dinner. Also staff could hardly speak English.

Review 32:Everything else.

Review 33:Location was not ideal for a young couple. Requires a lot of driving and no night life within walking distance. Closest is 15 drive on the highway at least. Not recommended for night life lovers.

Review 34:Its clean and includes breakfast with very reasonable price. Recommended for couples who would rather relax and enjoy the views.

Review 35:We had a late flight and asked the hotel to keep our dinner as we booked half board. We arrived and finished the check-in a few minutes before 10 pm. We were told the dinner finish at 10 pm so we only got fruit which was not enough and had to go out to look for restaurant and buy our dinner. Also staff could hardly speak English.

Review 36:Everything apart from what I described in the negative part. Great value for money.

Review 37:Coffee machine/kettle and microwave would be nice.

Review 38:Very convenient for me. Close to Toscal Village. Regular buses into Puerto.

Review 39:The breakfast was a bit limited.

Review 40:Friendly staff, very helpful. Great views from the sea view studio room.

Review 41:could benefit from free wi-fi in the rooms

Review 42:food very good value well presented if a bit on the basic side good bus service into town

Review 43:Great views over the hills. Nice food selections. Great linen service.

Review 44:No brutta esperienza

Review 45:Reseption

Review 46:Staff should speak better english...

Review 47:Excellent value for money. Great breakfast and dinner, very nice room with big balcony.

Review 48:A PROBLEM WITH THE LOCK ON THE DOOR. NOISY.

Review 49:LOCATION AND THE HOTEL IS BRIGHT

Review 50:- great price - friendly stuff - lovely food - "old times" atmosphere

Review 51:It was good but all people except us was more than 70.....

Review 52:Free internet only near reception, at room expensive (20e/week).

Review 53:Realy nice hotel for good money. Car needed.

Review 54:Canarian Night buffet very disappointing. Although we were there early, the food was already very overcooked and not very appetising. Restaurant staff not very attentive - nobody asked us if we wanted to order any drinks and only noticed some wine when other diners picked it up at the entrance near the bar and pool area. Would have been better near the main entrance.

Review 55:Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Good parking, room ideal for the price, spotlessly clean

Review 56:The wifi we paid for 7 days for 20 euro quite slow at our roomThe address should be more clear for GPS.It was took us another place but we found it later. The plug in our kitchen not work.I need to boil the water for my baby milk i have to carry the electric stove to the toilet to plug it in.We i should ask for another room but iam too lazy to repack aagain.

Review 57:The room are clean, the food are good and enought for the guest. The stuff very friendly. We asked for extra bed for our baby and they provide it for use withe no extra charge. They also provide the shuttle bus and pick you up at that point too.I dont remember the town name.Nice garden, nice view and nice swimming pool.ohhh and they have vine for your dinner.Dont forget to ask for it.We got it the last day because we thought we have to pay for it but its included with dinner.

Review 58:The beds and mattresses were a little bit outdated, so it wasnt very comfortable when sleeping.

Review 59:Simple, clean and value for money hotel. Staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed all 3 days spent there, although during the day we spent our time in Puerto de la Cruz (which is located approx 5km) sight seeing. Very impressed with breakfast choices. Would recommend this hotel!

Review 60:The place is old style, Personnel was too many old people and they do not speak english except of receptionists. The food was not plenty of variety and some of that was the same day by day. (desserts) During the night was very cold and there was not any extra blanket in the wardrobe.

Review 61:Cleaner staffs was nice and kind even they didn't speak english. Receptionists and waitresses was helpfull. Free wine for dinning.

Review 62:The lights dimming at 1 minute past ten am for breakfast. A bit rushed!! In need of renovation but still good value.

Review 63:The effort the cleaners do, you will know what mean if you go. Very nice people too

Review 64:- "free Wifi in public areas" as written in the description is a bit euphemistic, as it only exists in the foyer and e.g. not at the pool, café, or dining hall - the quality of the breakfast is quite low - the studios are rather clearaudient, which is quite of an issue when neighbors (in 3 dimensions) are leaving early to catch a flight, or when you want to sleep somewhat longer and the roomservice is cleaning the rooms around you - at rush hours, e.g. around breakfast time, the 2 elevators are quite overloaded and sometimes you have to wait about 10 min to catch a free one

Review 65:The studio and its balkony with the ocean view were nice and the room cleaning service does a really good job every day.

Review 66:Not very nice staff, ocean view rooms have no sun, hotel for pensioners, staff not really helpful, rooms very noisy (both from your neighbours or from the fridge or AC), far from everything, cold at night

Review 67:Ocean view, cheap hotel, free bus to Puerto de la Cruz, rich breakfast but everyday the same,

Review 68:The room had everything I needed. The staff were at all times helpful.good breakfast . It was very good value for money. Hotel bus service was well organised taking you from hotel to heart of Puerto

Review 69:Room furniture old and scruffy. Bath badly chipped. Bidet had a large crack in china. Both items needed replacing. Lack of sound proofing. Footsteps from above and voices from corridor disturbing. Food only average, breakfast buffet a free for all. Free internet in lobby slow, chargeable if ordered for room. Not a 3 star hotel. Next time will spend a little more and stay somewhere better. Prefer not to be only non Spanish guests.

Review 70:Cleanliness, Free adjacent parking, View from bedroom window.

Review 71:Twins just pushed together to make double, couple of clips to keep together would be an inexpensive fix as they kept seperating. Didn't spoil stay but would be quick cheap improvement.

Review 72:Food was good for price, rooms were clean, pool good, only let down was wifi slow or expensive but was free in reception, Close to village, bar prices good, staff friendly

Review 73:pool was closed off most of the time but to be fair was a little cool weather. 10 minute walk into town or you can take free shuttle into town 10 minutes by coach

Review 74:The Hotel was good for us as a family clean rooms good access food was very good for 1/2 board basis bar prices very reasonable not british prices like in the south.Staff friendly and free wine and water with your meal overall if you looking for quiet holiday very good.

Review 75:We couldn't fault the hotel for anything considering the excellent value for money - perhaps not a hotel for younger couples though

Review 76:excellent and regular coach shuttle to the main attraction area, good view and sinshine from the balcony (we had a mountain view but could also see the sea)

Review 77:People at reception. We felt like an enemies every time we asked for something. Barely speaking english. Especially person named JUAN. VERY UNFRIENDLY. At the breakfest you are not allowed to have a salt on your table because they have 2 or 3 saltcellars. Very unfriendly waitress just took it from my table without explanation - she did few days in a row before I understood why. Washing machine they have but or you spend 12€ on dryer or you leave your stuff in the room hanging on the chairs lying on the bad or so. Photos of the hotel not even close with reality. Especially bathroom. Location of the hotel is very poor. They have a bus for free that can take you to the puerto Cruz but to the center with shops, when we asked a driver if he can stop at the beach (we saw it from the bus) response was NO. We had to take a taxi anyway. The only thing I can recommend is LA ROMANTICA bar which is 5 mins on foot from the hotel. Very friendly people, very good food, very nice place.

Review 78:View from the room, but we got a room with a see view because the room we booked wasn't ready when we arrived. Old food, towels on the floor, room not cleaned up. This what we saw when we arrived.

Review 79:A lot of retired people. Some of the receptionists was not very friendly. A little bit outdated facilities. You have to have car, if you stay in this hotel. If you coming after the beach, this hotel is not for you, closest beach is approx. 5km away.

Review 80:We did like the view. Food was also good. Close to Puerto de la Cruz, which is very nice town. Also very close to Loro Park. Close to mountains area. As we are couple with kids, we got very spacious double room.

Review 81:- Outworn beds and furniture - Very old bathroom. I guess only some of the rooms are renovated whose bathrooms are shown in the pictures. - Expensive in-room internet connection - Very poor (though free) internet connection in the lobby - Be prepared for cold nights

Review 82:- Spacious rooms - Fridge, kettle and cups in rooms - Private balcony in all rooms with either sea view or view to parking/mountain on upper floors - Diverse dinner - Wine was included in dinner FYI: Most of the guests were senior Spanish citizens. Although there was music and dance at the bar almost every night, it was adjusted to the age of the guests. The neighborhood is very quiet, deserted during night time.

Review 83:Poor noise isolation- you can easily hear what happens in the corridor, rooms below you, above you and next door. It's true that the hotel guests are mostly true-bred pensioners but still they can make love over the wall ))) or come back excited after table games talking loudly. The staff is really helpful but not everyone can speak English. The hotel is located in about 30-40 minutes walk from the Puerto de la Cruz center but this can be considered as a bonus- the location is in a nice quiet non-touristic area with a number of quiet beautiful coffee places. We rented a car so the distances were not a problem. By the way, the private parking of the hotel is not that large so all parking places can be busy, although it is easy to find a place outside on the street. Next, the free Wi-Fi was really so-so. The connection was weak as well as the strength of the signal. The room of lower floors "with mountain view" face the parking lots, so pay attention when booking. The thing is the parking has a quite high rear wall so it is the only mountain you will see from the window of the rooms on, I guess, 2-3 lower floors.

Review 84:For me everything was good, except of the noise from our neighbors and it was not the fault of the people, but the poor sound isolation of the quite old building. But anyway it costs the money. All the important details which you have to take into account I tried to describe in the "what didn't you like" part.

Review 85:Wifi work only in reception. TV was not working.

Review 86:Close to highway. Big free parking lot. In kitchen you can find everything needed to cook. Good breakfast and hotel for good price.

Review 87:breakfast was poor and all 14 days of our staying was absolutely the same

Review 88:Nice location, good and very helpful staff, great overview to ocean, very commodious room,

Review 89:Internet in rooms cost money. Little ways away from either airport.

Review 90:Clean and Comfortable. Good internet in room (not free). Free breakfast. Laundry.

Review 91:No fan, no Ac, need to learn English more. more variety at breakfast. like baked beans, sausages.

Review 92:The mountain view is amazing, parking is easy. reception helped us in any way possible. Good cofee

Review 93:Hotel is not suitable for families with small children, this should havebeen indicated in the description.

Review 94:How staff resolved our issue. Was really helpful, did all what it could.

Review 95:At the time we went it catered mainly for elderly visitors. Rooms are in need of an update, but were clean and functional.

Review 96:Location, relaxed atmosphere, pool and breakfast. Our room had a fantastic view of the mountains.

Review 97:Furniture is too old even for motel. Had a bad experience asking forinternet password from administartor, she almost didn't speakEnglish. However he called on the phone another person, who told be veryquickly the password and immediatly finished the talk. Password waswrong of course, but I managed to find another open wifi network.

Review 98:The view from balcony towards the sea wasn't bad. Generally, it is agood motel (sorry, it cannot be a 3-star hotel), where you can spend thenight for a fair price. Feels like it is implemented in quite oldbuilding, so probably the fans of the life in style of 1950s will behappy to stay there. Breakfast is reach and good.

Review 99:Friendly and helpfull reception staff. Fair price. Free buses to ccMartinez, Puerto de la Cruz. One side has sunny balcony withmountainview (Teide), the other side seaview, but no sun. Quietlocation, and adjacent village on walking distance has allfacilities you need (E.G. 5 hairdressers (!), a shop with delicioushandmade icecream, a supermarket, bakery shop, restaurants andtearooms, car rental).

Review 100:Everything else. I booked a superior room with mountain view. I got acrappy apartment with seperate beds and a view on the wall and a parkinglot. Dont go there!!!

Review 101:Parking.

Review 102:All in all this was a good hotel, not luxurious by any means, but nice and I enjoyed my stay. There were only minor things to mention as not-so-good: There was a slight smell sometimes down at the pool, I think it was coming from a sewage close to the outdoor showers or somewhere. But I could only smell it at certain places of the pool area, not all the time and not everywhere, so it wasn't a major problem. The hotel really if full of retired 65+ year old visitors. So if you are younger and you want some party people to hang out with, it's not the hotel for you! I am 29 and except a few kids I was the youngest. A lot of the visitors were re-visiting that same hotel a couple of weeks or even months every year! Most visitors were German or Spanish. The hotel is not situated in the town Puerto de la Cruz, it is 5 km away in a small neighbourhood. In this neighbourhood there are a few hotels (but Panoramica is the only big one, I could only see signs for one other hotel) and some supermarkets, confectionary, simpler restaurants etc. In my room, the only thing I could potentially complain about is that the handle/hold in the shower was slightly loose from the wall. Nothing major.

Review 103:The room was nice and clean - they cleaned it every day and I received 2 small and 2 large new towels each day. The room was spacious even though I booked a "single" room and there was a small kitchen area with refrigerator, stove and kitchen utensils. The bed was quite comfortable, perhaps a little hard. Pillows OK! The staff was friendly. They spoke English in the reception but almost all written information in the hotel was in Spanish. The pool was big and looked clean (however it was not heated/warm). There were plenty of sunbeds to use (for free). The food was OK, not very fancy, but they served a range of different dishes each day. The breakfast buffet had bacon, cooked and fried eggs, different types of bread and toast etc. The dinner buffet often had a meat, chicken and fish alternative as well as salad etc. Wouldn't really recommend it for a vegetarian though. It was great that the wifi was free! Only available in the reception and not in the room though. All rooms had a nice balcony either with ocean view or mountain view. The ocean view was nice, but on the other hand the rooms with mountain view had sun most of the day while the ocean view rooms are faced north so my room didn't get any sun. There was a free shuttle bus to Puerto de la Cruz from the hotel that left 9 times during the day. The last ride back to the hotel was at 20:45 though. After that you'd have to take a taxi, which would cost approx. €10 or €11 one way. The hotel was quiet - it is not a party hotel so you could easily go to bed early without any noise to bother you.

Review 104:Breakfast buffet with poor variety, most guests are pensioners

Review 105:Nice view from the balcony to hotel garden and sea side. Average rooms but clean, friendly staff, good budget hotel.

Review 106:very poorly equipped kitchenette, some noise in the rooms from neighbours -but not much since most seemed to be pensioners

Review 107:not very much except the price and the fact that it it located on Tenerife

Review 108:Bus from the hotel stated as regular did not go on time.

Review 109:The food was very good. Very good value for the money. Close to the bus stop. Calm place. Panoramas

Review 110:No remote for TV. More reliable internet connection in the lobby would be welcome, but until Wi-Fi is free, it's ok. Poor equipment in the "kitchen", for realy basic use.

Review 111:Room cleaned every day, fresh towels. Good breakfest (same things every day, but the choise is quite big). Free parking.

Review 112:I surprised me there wasn't any airconditioning at this hotel. It's an island what has quite high temperatures during the summers, so you must be sweating a lot in the peak of summer. During my stay it cooled off during the nights, so I had the opportunity to leave my balcony door open so my room could cool off during the night.

Review 113:I had a pleasant stay overall. Nice and helpfull personnel that could speak English, but not really good. A lot of older citizens stayed at this facility so this made it a bit boring for the young traveler like me. Location for my personal needs was very good.

Review 114:It is a very good hotel in the north of Tenerife. A lot of sightseeings is near, the stuff is friendly and the half-pension is also very good. The only negative thing is that there is no wifi internet.

Review 115:Furniture, fridge and hot plates were old and worn. Room was quite coldin February. Elevators were too slow and too small for the number ofhotel rooms.

Review 116:Rooms were clean, breakfast buffet was included and very good.

Review 117:Very good location, comfortable clean rooms, nice and friendly staff, good kitchen. Each day woman cleaning the room assembled from the towels nice and beautiful figures - cats, dogs, elephants etc. Different figures each day.

Review 118:The windows on our balcony did not lock so when the inevitable wind blewit howled right through the room. It was also a little cold at times atnight as there was no heating.

Review 119:This was a nice hotel in a non-tourist area so one got a taste ofreal Tenerife. The studio had excellent facilities, bed room, kitchette and bathroom. The garden and swimming pool surroundingswere pleasant. The ability to park in the hotel grounds, or rightoutside, was really useful.

Review 120:Over 90% of guests are older than 50, so it is nice to be Spanish and stay there on a pension with of range of facilities. 6 km far from the city centre. Poor English service on the reception make you spend more time out of the hotel's facilities. Another issue is craving of old Spanish to touch the children. At the beginning it seemed nice, but when 30 people come before having lunch and kiss, touch, draw child attention from the food is incredible. Probably it was our mistake that we did not catch on booking.com that it is pension hotel. The rest is ok, pricing against quality of the rooms is ok. Ask for the sun side, 6 months the north side is very cold.

Review 121:I booked a room for 7 nights but we stayed there only one night andchanged the hotel. Walls were paper, rooms were cold and old. Locationwas bad. Most of the customers are local seniors. If you want stay innursing home/prison this is the right place for you.

Review 122:PG is out of the main tourist traffic. You can still see the natives and hear Spanish in spite of tourism. You can walk around without being constantly disturbed by people trying to sell you something. Good access to busses.

Review 123:Very much noise from toilets, showers etc. It is a non-smoking hotel, still there is ashtrays in every room and smoking allowed in corridors:( Take lunch and dinner at El Finca restaurant nearby instaed of hotel.

Review 124:Clean and tidy hotel. Spacious rooms. Breakfast buffé was very good.

Review 125:reserved a mountain view room but on arrival was given seaview. bit noisey.

Review 126:free shuttle bus every hour very clean hotel for the money

Review 127:nothing!

Review 128:While I love walking, I think the hotel is well situated. Staff is helpfull though not too close. Meals are OK, every man's choice!

Review 129:Pool area and the garden are so bad. Other things are avarage. Cheap quality for low price.

Review 130:Nice view from uper levels with both sides.

Review 131:they didnt let me take apple from canteen ....haha

Review 132:As for a 3 star hotel the place is really good. Few things I had to ask for-sorted in no time. Friendly and caring staff. Many thanks!!

Review 133:Slow WLAN

Review 134:Staff was Friends and helpful

Review 135:evening meals 'good' but no high standard (however priceworthy)

Review 136:breakfast spacy room

Review 137:Reception staff a bit abrupt

Review 138:Good value
