Review 1：The room was bare, wooden floor and no heating, only one chair, one glass, no soap in the shower, empty cont- ainer jammed in to the back of the shower head to keep the shower head up, no bath towels only thin hand towels. NO VISA facility(summer only!) Breakfast tables uncleared.

Review 3：The hotel seems to be run on a shoestring, the whole decor and fittings could do with a makeover to make it more appealing. From other reviews we were expecting a great breakfast, but unfortunately this only seemed to be true on the Saturday, the other days there was a shortage of food and variety. A lot of other small niggling issues, but thankfully we did not let these bother us as the area was brilliant.
Review 4：The Vier Lowen has a great location on the side of the Mosel and ideally situated to explore the area. The building has a lot of character and more could be done with it. The food in the hotel was fine and plenty of good eating places within walking distance.
Review 5：Decor of bedroom and decor generally - very tired and cheap. Breakfasts limited - lack of service - running out of basics like bread and coffee.

Review 7：At the check-out the personnel told their credit card reader was caput and we had to walk a couple of blocks to a nearest bank automat to draw cash. In addition, the total of our bill was wrong. The error was corrected immediately, however.
Review 8：This nice hotel is situated immediately on the banks of Mosel, We had a spacious room on the second floor with a unbelievable view over the Mosel. As an additional fun we had a small balcony and very smooth, sunny evening to sip a glass of Mosel Riesling on the balcony... The food in the restaurant was of typical German style: schnitzels etc.
Review 9：owners are nice but don`t speak english. there is no elevator and I stayed on the third floor with 2 young kids! when checked out - there was no one to help me with the suitcases. had to carry them myself 3 floors by stairs. owner didn`t know how to use the credit card I wanted to pay with... and breakfast is quite poor.

Review 15：Beautiflly located on the bank of Mosel. Old house with much charm. Wonderful terrace where one could eat breakfast or sit in the evening. Tasty breakfast with a variety of bread, meet, cheese and fish. You could also have scrambled eggs with bacon. Friendly helpful staff. A bit problem with the English language though. All in all a nice stay.

Review 23：Beautiful old hotel with an excellent location on the banks of the Mosel. The town is superb. Would strongly recommend this. Staff were helpful and kind. Food was good and prices reasonable.
Review 24：Very friedly and serviceminded staff. The hotel is located sentral in Traben and close to the river/road and with the main street in the town close by that has excellent restaurants. Nice and spacy rooms. Excellent breakfast. Worth the money.
Review 25：It was almost shut up when we arrived - at 8pm on a Friday inAugust! The place was dark, and virtually unoccupied - it felt morelike a haunted house than a hotel! The hotel does not accept creditcards in payment.
