Reviews for Hotel Casa Prendes

Review 1:Modernised building located close to the port and restaurant area. Able to bring car to hotel to unload. Not 5 start but a great little hotel that has the feel of Cudillero

Review 2:The location is very central, which does mean there's a bit of noise, but that's mostly from the seagulls and stray cats in the area, so it's no fault of the hotel. Breakfast was very good, but offered a la carte, so it came to almost 20 euros extra.

Review 3:We were pleased with our stay here, and though it's a very basic hotel, they had a bar and fast WiFi. The staff was friendly, and there was a place to store our bicycle.

Review 4:More options and value for breakfast would assist travellers. Toast is one piece.

Review 5:Hotel was very clean with personal touches to make the room comfortable. Can drive up to the door to drop the luggage off then park at the fishing port which is an easy 10 minute walk.

Review 6:I would have liked to get wifi.

Review 7:Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel on our first trip together almost two years ago. We requested the same room if it was avaliable and sure enough we got it. A view of all the town. Very friendly staff, and a great location!

Review 8:Very central position, up a tiny side street right in the town centre by all the seafront restaurants (bit difficult to find tiny street, we had to ask). You can get the car to the door to unload luggage. Free parking is in the harbour parking area for all hotels; a 5/10 min walk depending on how close you can get. Owner very helpful, good English. We had a room at the back and it was very quiet. There was an elevator/lift. NB book in advance; they were fully booked.

Review 9:Breakfast a little expensive No parking at the hotel but ample space at the port (5 mins walk)

Review 10:Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent location for the restaurants etc.

Review 11:It is quite noisy outside the hotel but this is mainly due to location in the centre of a small and busy village. The village itself is quite run down which we found a bit depressing.

Review 12:Great location. Very nice rooms.

Review 13:Breakfast area a little small, but breakfast itself was wonderful

Review 14:A great central location offering great accommodation. Our room was on the first floor at the rear with a small enclosed balcony almost at street level at the rear. Friendly staff assisted in parking which could be difficult at peak season times. Very close to restaurants (great seafood) and bars and within easy walking of the small village harbour.

Review 15:Fantastic location, right by the harbour. Very nice room, would recommend

Review 16:All ok with hotel. Town unimpressive compared to others along coast

Review 17:Good hotel. Clean room. Good staff. Good wifi. Good restaurant recommendations

Review 18:Great location. Great staff! Newly renovated.

Review 27:What a surprise when driving into the town! Hotel in the middle of everything. Clean and lovely rooms.

Review 28:Parking very far

Review 29:Nice welcome, clean rooms, good location

Review 30:Buildings are very close with little light

Review 31:Excellent location in Cudillero very close to the main square

Review 32:Very good room and excellent location very near the port and restaurants.

Review 33:nothing----leaving!

Review 34:Location. Made a pleasant overnight stay would highly recommend.

Review 35:Very noisy, from outside the hotel.

Review 36:The location tucked into a court off the main street and closeness to the town square.

Review 37:WiFi reaching our room, for late exchange, would have been perfect.

Review 38:It is worth staying in Cudillero at least a few days, preferably more, to imbibe it´s atmosphere. The hotel is part of and excellent for that purpose. It is managed by the family Prendes whose members were born in the village. Father José used to be a fisherman. We developed, as to our judgment, an intimate relationship with all of the family. Knowledge of a bit of Spanish was extra helpful and learning more a bonus.

Review 39:Our room at Hotel Casa Prendes was very comfortable, beautifully clean and spacious. Our hosts Reyes and the Prendes family were extremely welcoming and helpful with any of our requests. We could not rate them or the Hotel highly enough. We have been to Spain twice and would regard this as one of the nicest places in which we have stayed. It should be rated more than 2 stars in our opinion. John and Regina

Review 40:No air-con but if the windows are left open the seagulls go on and on and on, 22 hours a day they take a break for about two hours between 4-6 am. They have become accustomed to village living and it is a toss up as to who is in charge. The second issue is that there are a lot of rundown buildings again taking from the look of the place as do the restaurants crowding the pier.

Review 41:Casa Prendes is well situated for the old quarter and because of this is a bit over priced like most hotels in good locations, very pleasant and comfortable.

Review 42:Seagulls can be noisy in the mornings, but then it is a fishing village ;)

Review 43:It was a lovely fishing village location. Nicely decorated with lovely exposed brickwork. Clean rooms. Great location for the bars and restaurants.

Review 44:Really cosy and atmospheric small hotel in an excellent location. Room was nicely designed with natural stone walls and had an enclosed extra balcony. The location is excellent, just off the Main Street, near the port.

Review 45:Hotel Casa Prendes is small and friendly with very helpful and welcoming staff, and was excellent value. Our room was relatively small, but perfectly comfortable with a good, clean bathroom. We would certainly stay there again.

Review 46:Limited breakfast.

Review 47:Excellent location, with parking available nearby in the port.

Review 48:Even though promised, no Internet access anywhere in hotel.

Review 49:The only thing I missed was a waterboiler to be able to make tea in the room.

Review 50:Very friendly and helpful staff, nicely decorated room

Review 51:Lovely, warm, comfortable room minutes from the waterfront. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 52:I wish there was Wifi in the room. I had to go to lobby to use it.

Review 53:Room was clean and comfortable and staff friendly.

Review 54:Pretty, characterful hotel very near to the seafront.

Review 55:Super clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, located right in the pitoresque centre of Cudillero.

Review 56:room rather small. difficult to access by car - parking remote from hotel

Review 57:Friendly staff. Good value for the money.
