Reviews for Marakasa B&B
Review 1:Everything was amazing! The b&b was located next to the beach in a very warm en nice neighbourhood. The homemade breakfast could go for a three star dinner and the rooms where perfect. Also the owners of the b&b are really really nice and helpt us with everything!
Review 2:Finding a parking place is difficult and the narrow roads are difficult to navigate, especially with all the one ways.
Review 3:Surprised at all the high rises near the sea, we were worried about what we had booked, but the Marakasa was a wonderful gem. One of the original houses in the area, now surrounded by a growing tourist town, this place is special. Patricia and Wendy have done a great job of making it a casually comfortable place. Lots of character! They were wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast was terrific.
Review 4:Very comfortable rooms with every facility provided. Loved having the kitchen with fridge / freezer for DIY snacks or meals. Supermarket and seafront just 2 minutes away.
Review 5:Nous nous sommes senties comme à la maison, et le chien aussi ! Excellent petit déjeuner, très copieux avec de bons produits. Bons conseils pour visiter les environs.
Review 6:Nothing not to like about this lovely BnB.
Review 7:The BnB was a small haven in San Antonio de Calonge, 15 minute walk along the seafront to Palamos. Patricia the owner was very friendly and helpful, room was nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen facility a great idea if you want to cook yourself, however local restaurants lovely and very reasonably priced. We only stayed one night but wish it was longer! Would definitely go back.
Review 8:Don't let the entrance footpath put you off!
Review 9:Excellent breakfast which just keeps coming - home made bread, jams etc. Very welcoming and informative hosts.
Review 10:No free parking Street side room
Review 11:Breakfast was amazing Staff were very friendly and helpful; providing good recommendations Dogs! Room was large and newly decorated Good location; close to great beach
Review 12:Having to come home and leave Marakasa
Review 13:We loved every minute of our stay at Marakasa.Super hosts who gave us lots of tips on where to visit and eat.4 nights wasn't nearly enough. The breakfast each morning was superb, and the little finer touches give this B&B the feel of a boutique hotel rather than an amazingly priced B&B.Just a stroll away from the beach and some amazing restaurants, 30 mins drive from Girona airport, and within easy reach of some beautiful beach and mountain locations meant this was a short break to remember.Thank you so much Patricia & Gwendy.

Review 17:High price for low season.
Review 18:Greate home made breakfast! Nice room and lovely atmosphere.
Review 19:Nothing - parking could be a slight issue in peak season but no problem for our visut
Review 20:Our lovely hosts: Patricia and Wendy Breakfast Location by the beach and close to Palamos
Review 21:Mums patika viss:) Gan vieta, gan istabu iekārtojums, gan saimnieču viesmīlība, un, protams bagātīgās un ļoooti garšīgās brokastis. Paldies! We liked everything :) Both the place and the room furnishings and hospitality hostesses, and of course the very rich and tasty breakfast. Thank you!
Review 22:Nothing.
Review 23:We liked it all. Thank you our lovely hosts! They even provided a small kitchen where you can do some cooking. A few minutes walk to a beach. Good and free parking space. Lovely breakfast. Good energy.
Review 24:Nothing!
Review 25:Everything was fantastic! The hosts are absolutely wonderful and the breakfasts are phenomenal. The bed was really comfy and the rooms were decorated very nicely with fresh-cut plants. Loved the shower - plenty of hot water, which we didn't always have throughout Spain. Location is convenient as it's only a block away from the promenade, with lots of accessibility to the hikes along the coast and larger nearby cities.
Review 26:We hired a car a we knew we were slightly isolated - if you want to be where all the action is, try peak season or a different town.
Review 27:Wendy and Patrizia, the hosts, are lovely. Friendly and helpful, they offered ideas about scenic drives, how to avoid crowds, and the best places to eat locally. The breakfasts were a relaxed, typically Catalan experience, with breads, cheeses, meats, juices and homemade items, cooked option of local fare - Wendy is a retired chef so everything was prepared with quality and love. We were able to use a communal kitchen too, which was an added bonus for times when we wanted just to snack and siesta in our room. The B&B has been thoughtfully and artistically converted with collectables and up-cycled pieces decorating areas throughout the rooms. The outdoor dining space (used for breakfast) was a highlight. The location is only a block from the beach and promenade - 15 mins walk into Palamos. There is parking, a rarity, and an easy, relaxed and chilled atmosphere in the B&B. It also feels very safe. A selection of small shops, it's away from the hustle and bustle of the usual touristy resort vibe but all easily accessible if you want to get social. It was quiet as we were there in October - but exactly what we were looking for. The locals were funny, friendly, and helpful too. We stayed a week.
Review 28:Having to leave the place!
Review 29:Patricia and Wendy are fantastic hosts. Breakfast is delicious and there's plenty of it: It turns out Wendy used to own a restaurant. They know the area pretty well and can give you advice about the many activities you can do in the surroundings. We were lucky there wasn't anybody else checking in our last day so they gladly allowed us a late checkout, and we were able to make the most out of our last day.
Review 30:Great place to stay. Lovely, friendly and informative hosts. Patio area restful after a busy day. Just perfect
Review 31:Breakfasts were very good and both the ladies were extremely good hosts. -we felt quite at home!
