Hotel SH Ifach sells fast on our site. Overlooked by Calpe’s famous Ifach Rock, the SH Ifach is 500 ft from Fossa Beach. It has indoor and outdoor pools, an outdoor hot tub and large rooms with a private balcony and free Wi-Fi.

Review 1：We was on the 9th floor so views were outstanding but on the down side the hotel wi-fi was difficult to connect to and it was easier to use the lobby area at ground level.

Review 2：Had trouble checking in because the "entertainment" was so loud I couldn't hear the receptionist. There was a large rip in one of the bedsheets and a 5-6 inch crack in the bath along with messy, dirty grouting to the tiles. The floor in our room was never clean. I personally found the "entertainment" very poor and very loud. Breakfast was great but not cheap at 11 euros per person. Parking at the hotel was 12 euros per night and to use the indoor pool was a further 5 euros per dip. Well used by the older generation who seem to like it but it's not for me and seriously over-priced. My preference would be the Porto Calpe for cleanliness and value for money or for 4 star luxury the Diamante Beach.

Review 3：A good location near the rock and the sea front. Endless hot water and great big bath towels.

Review 4：Big sign on entering saying 'All inclusive, don't miss out', but then when you check in we were told that it costs 4€ / person / day to use the indoor pool: which was mentioned no where when booking. We weren't impressed because we specifically booked this hotel for the indoor pool. This meant an extra 20€ / day. The reception staff weren't familar with what was happening each day either and were unhelpful. Leak in the hallway from pipes on our floor as well didn't leave a great impression. In house free wifi extremely slow with poor reception.

Review 5：We travelled over Christmas and there was a nice atmosphere in the hotel. Quite a few of the facilities were closed down like the outdoor swimming pool and the outside games etc. We stayed with half board and there was a nice selection of food for breakfast and dinner that changed daily and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 6：Nice hotel in good location - 2 minute walk to promenade and beach. Staff helpful and friendly. Spacious rooms and bathroom, good size balcony. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Review 8：A superb four star hotel. Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean and superbly situated. near the beach in Calpe. Large bedroom equipped with very comfortable beds with daily linen change, and huge bathroom supplied with super large bath sheets, something missing in most hotels. All the staff from reception to restaurant to bar were friendly and attentive. Food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was plentiful with a choice for every palate, fish, meats, pasta and also the hot cooking stations. Totally spoiled for choice. This was our second stay and it won't be our last. We were independent travellers, not part of any group and would recommend this hotel to all ages, singles, couples or families looking for a top quality hotel in this area of Spain.

Review 9：Reception staff miserable and unhelpful. Took 20 minutes to check in! No A la Carte restaurant, air con switched off - heat only! WiFi not working in room, double room does NOT have a double bed, just 2 singles pushed together. Price list given for mini bar, which is empty! Toilet fan not working. The TV gives 5 English News channels with poor picture! AVOID IF POSSIBLE! Go to the Diamante Beach.

Review 10：Location good, rooms and public area are spacious. Reasonable buffet breakfast with helpful staff. Nothing else worth a positive comment in my view!

Review 12：The location was very good, close to both the beach and many restaurants. Reception staff were helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was an excellent size, it was a nice surprise to find both BBC and ITV available on the TV. We were B&B only but breakfast spread was great.

Review 15：Large functional hotel catering for groups with somewhat anglicised menu. Evening entertainment provided. Limited free parking on site but plenty across the road. We paid 12 euros for use of garage.

Review 21：The hotel is looking a bit "tired" in places and the attention to detail insofar as the cleaning is concerned (particularly in the corners in the bathroom) is a little lacking for a 4 star hotel. There was not a great deal of choice for dinner but freshly cooked eggs available for breakfast. Bearing in mind the time of year (end of October) when the outside pool is closed, we were not impressed to have to pay extra for the indoor pool, especially when it is free during the peak season so we didn't bother!

Review 22：We had a very spacious room on the 12th floor with a fabulous view. It was very nice (and very unusual!) to have English TV channels in a Spanish hotel. Very comfortable beds and the staff were very friendly.

Review 43：One major fault was the outside pool bar didn't serve food between 13:00 and 16:30 ! Shower also went scalding hot every now and again for no reason. Also the Wifi was fairly weak on the upper floors compared to the lobby, sometimes didn't work at all. Only 2 english speaking TV channels, Sky News and BBC World news (yawn) !

Review 44：Good location for choice of beaches. Near the port also and not too long of a walk into town. Breakfast buffet quite good.

Review 45：The WiFi reminded me of broadband dial up 10 -15 years ago. It was slow and it did not stay connected. The free computers were also slow. Very bad experience... could not even stream a movie online. You need to have valets park the customers cars, when you run out of space on the property. Having to look at the hard to read map drive around some more after only God knows where you just drove from and try and find parking while determining if you are in a paid parking spot,or not doesn't really give customers a warm fuzzy feeling.

Review 47：Very impolite staff. It took us 45 minutes to book in (even though we were the only ones there) having to wait 10 minutes before anyone arrived to see us. Reception staff most unhelpful and rude. The evening meal was a disaster and the waiting staff were long faced and miserable. The food was cold and the waiting staff tried to usher us out 15 minutes before end of service. Breakfast was just as bad.

Review 48：Cleanliness. Dust was everywhere - under beds, in the corners...one of the dirtiest 4* hotels I've ever been. No drink water in the room - absolutely disappointing. No iron facilities - only upon request. The balcony has been never cleaned at all. Swimming pool is not as big as on the photos and in the evenings it was crowded.

Review 49：guy at mini disco - you're the best, really talented actor. Breakfast is of a good choice and changes a bit from one day to another. Location is also amazing - 2 beaches within short walk. Room was cleaned even in the evening (when we stayed the whole day in the room)- good surprise!

Review 50：A cot was requested at the time of booking, and a separate email was sent asking for confirmation. On checking in, we again asked for a cot, and again later. Eventually a cot was put in the room, but it seemed like hard work. We were asked to pay for our rooms on checking in "because you booked through Booking.com". We have never been asked to do this before, and I have booked many hotels through Booking.com. The checking in procedure was tortuous, and took an age.

Review 63：What a disappointment... I know the hotel since it was a project and I've seen its glorious years. Now due to the crisis and lack of funds, the only attraction for the guest is the price (probably the cheapest option in Costa Blanca), but the staff, the facilities and the rooms are more for a hostel on the road than for a 4* hotel in Calpe.

Review 64：The location is quite good, just 2 min to the beach and less than 5 to the harbour and Peyon area.

Review 65：Without air conditioning (and without proper air-flow) it was very difficult to sleep - particularly during our first night. Laura (in reception) did try very hard to help sort it out (please thank her !) - but she was told that it was never available during April.

Only a couple of issues in the room, dead plant in the planter on the balcony, and room could do with more attention to the corners of the floor. Sounds picky but there was a piece of broken glass next to the dressing table. Bed comfy and very clean. Bathroom a little tired but perfectly ok. No complementory toiletries on the second day not sure if this is normal. Breakfast just ok, beans had a skin over them yuk. Entertainment each night was very good.

Review 85：Could not get any English speaking channels on TV. Entertainment held in lobby bar, no where inside to sit quietly and read or play cards etc. Upstairs lounge reserved for package holiday guests.

Review 88：Very friendly and professional staff, we have got a room on the top with nice view over the area (sadly with many other ugly buildings). The room is still quite modern and has a decent noise isolation. Customers are mainly older english people. Location is apart from calpe city but near to the beaches.

Review 91：We were staying over night after a dinner dance organised by Calpe U3A. The food at the dinner was diabolical. I had ordered steak in advance but was initially offered lamb. I sent this back and asked for the steak When it arrived it had been cremated andI could not manage to break a piece off. This was replaced by lamb (no steak left) which again was hopelessly overcooked. The head waiter asked our waitress from the evening before to ask us if the evening's food had been OK, so they knew there was a problem!

Review 108：No place to get a morning cup of coffee or tea except for the the full breakfast cafe. First week of October - temps in the 80'sF and the outdoor pool was closed! Caters to tour groups of older adults. Beds are very very firm. Only food available was the full buffet meal. No snack food. Room service could not provide items listed on menu - had to resort to pizza, only. It was, however, very good. Menu did not list any beverages as being available, thou when I ordered I was asked if we wanted anything to drink.

Review 111：Being disabled found it difficult to enter and exit the bath. Grab handle on wall when in the bath but of no use when entering or exiting the bath.

Review 113：Antiquated bar system which slowed service. Only on B&B but the breakfasts were a bit of a scrum at times and although the cooked food was plentiful and varied, it was never really hot and at best warm. The lifts worked but at their own speed.

Review 114：Quiet places easy to find. Staff friendly. The pool area is nicely set out with plenty of beds even when it's busy. The views from the room (4th floor) were really nice and the maid/cleaning service was good, if a little irregular in its timing. Sitting areas were comfortable.

Review 115：It may seem petty, but the elevators are not great. We were on the 8th floor so walking up was not viable (we occasionally walked down). Most of the time they perform fine, other times they take an age to arrive and then have a mind of their own going down to -1 when you want to go up. Maybe it's testament to the hotel that this is the only point which I felt needed to be included so this section was not blank. Highly recommended.

Review 116：The hotel has a fantastic view of the Ifach Rock and is a stones throw from the pleasantly busy front where a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars situation. The pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas (although these aren't adjustable which leads to a fair bit of shuffling around if, like me, you prefer the shade to the direct sun). The pool side bar is fine although it would be good if they served snacks (they give free peanuts and olives which makes up). The hotel is visually delightful and well taken care of. The staff are friendly and helpful and the internet connection is fine for streaming videos.

Review 117：Nowhere to get just a coffee in the morning. Had to pay 11 euros for a coffee in the breakfast room. 11 euros being the breakfast rate which is annoying.

Review 119：barely any of the staff spoke english and the 2 managers that are there are very grumpy and unfriendly, the food was terrible and they hadnt got 80% of the menu available, and we also had a late flight (1045pm to Dublin) and asked could we have a late checkout to shower and stuff because of this and they refused and wanted €50 to have the room until 6pm, we asked to just have it until 2/3 so we could shower but they refused so we sat in the lobby until 7pm that evening waiting to go to the airport and saw 2 couples arrive and the hotel already wasn't busy at all and has 15 floors of rooms, you'd think after spending €800 on accomadation you'd be treated a lot better! and the TV channel has 1 english station (ch.51)

Review 120：Pool is nice has shallow parts and fairly deep parts and plenty of seating/beds and pool captures a fair amount of sun and is very clean.

Review 123：Full board; you will continually have to pay for your drinks and when it's hot that can add up, so I upgraded to fully inclusive which I preferred as I drink a lot of water in the heat. When I put the please do not disturb sign this wasn't always adhered to, for example if I wanted one day for it not to be cleaned I would always be disturbed in the late afternoon early evening and it would be a knock and they would immediately enter, which I didn't like. I would be offered again for the room to be cleaned or extra towels etc.. however personally if I put up the please do not disturb sign that would include the whole day. I always put my valuables in the safe to feel secure.
